LINDA Support

So I attempted to run the tracer and logging-failed miserably with the CaptainSim 763. I'm wondering if there's any plan to make a module for it. I've figured out that these modules are amazing! Makes setup so much easier for someone like myself that does not code well.

Hi, Today I started up P3D V5.0 Hotfix2 selecting the PMDG747-8. When I brought up Linda 3.2.5, and clicked on "Settings", nothing happened. I cannot access the button/keypress section? Bill Clark

I have installed FSUIPC7 as instructed and dropped in the Linda files. I just want to confirm that the structure below is correct. It has FSUIPC6 in the list rather than FSUIPC7? Is this just a typo from copy/paste of the structure for FSUIPC6 or do we need to copy over these FSUIPC6 files as well? thanks. I am completely new to LINDA, so sorry for my newbie questions ... As my sim is P3Dv5, I have downloaded and installed LINDA_3_2_6_1111. Because I would like to use LINDA with my FSLabs a320, I additionally downloaded FSLabs_A3xx_v1_5. I have installed LINDA_3_2_6_1111 into my FSCUIPC 6.0.10 installation at c:/users/{yourname}/documents/prepar3d v5 add-ons/FSUIPC6, as recommended. And then I installed the FSLabs_A3xx_v1_5 module into LINDA folders. My questions Do I have to install additionally the Lua_Plugins_200518 package from Pete Dowson for FSUIPC (it is from 2011)? Do I have to do anything at FSUIPC to enable its cooperation with LINDA? …

I have been looking for a software that would allow me to program my FSUIPC v5 for P3Dv4.5.3 to use my GoFlight MCP with the FSLabs A3XX. Nothing more... After browsing through a number of pages on this Linda forum including PDF documents, I have yet to understand if this software will do the job for me, could anyone kindly respond to this question please? Additionally, when I clicked on the FSLabs A 320 Linda module download, I was sent to a website site... where is that module hidden please? Thank you.

Hi there, I posted the italicized text below over in the Aerosoft forum and they directed me toward this forum-I don’t have Linda yet and all my current aircraft (PMDG/TFDi/FSLabs) I have programmed in the functions I’ve needed in FSUIPC with control codes be they rotorbrake or custom. I’m running into the brick wall with the Aerosoft A330. They don’t seem to have custom controls so I’ve apparently got to use LINDA and Lua and LVAR stuff which I really am confused about as there’s not really step by step stuff on YouTube I’m running P3D V5 and using mouse macros which aren’t the greatest at the moment so if someone could help me out with a step by step like: 1…

Hi, I see in the Q&A post that Linda GUI is required in FSX for Joystick inputs to work. Does that apply for P3Dv5 or such? I'm asking because it seems strange that: The GUI has this note next to "Start GUI with Sim": Note: LINDA core code is started by entry FSUIPC.ini The setting "Start GUI with Sim" is disabled by default. I have not been able to make it work without starting LINDA GUI manually or setting the "Start GUI with Sim" to on. Is this by design? Does the GUI really need to run for normal use (after configuration)? Thanks, Eric

Guys, could some kind soul write a simple lua script here that engages/disengages AP1 in the current FSL AXX (P3Dv5) please? I'd like to use it then in FSUIPC so that I could assign 2 joystick buttons to FSL AP1 On and FSL AP1 Off (the joystick buttons will actually be generated by a voiceattack command). Many thanks!

This is my setup where Linda is concerned VRinsight MCP ver 1 Linda 3.1.1.854 PMDG 777 module 1.5 FSUIPC 4.975a registered Once FSX is loaded and the PMDG 777 is selected the only switch that works on the VRinsight MCP is the F/D switch both on and off. It works the other way when I do mouse clicks on the PMDG 777s panel the result is reflected on the VRinsight MCPs display ie changing speed from 200 to 190 shows up as 190 on the VRinsight MCP. Trying to do it the other way, selecting speed 190 on the Vrinsight MCP does nothing on PMDG 777s MCP. Ive done clean installs of Linda and the PMDG 777 module and FSUIPC. Hi, I installed the new Prepar3d V5. I use the MCP Combo-II icw Linda 3.2.5.1087 and FSUIPC 6.08 The FSX-default airplanes are working/interacting fine in the new environment. However ... the new 737NGXu is a problem, gives me no reaction in the buttons. The connection is completely dead. Changing it next into any normal airplane, the Combo is again 100% ok. I defined a new profile/preset for the NGXu but using e.g. the ALT buttons in NGX AP ALT Inc... or any other button-command doesn't work. As earlier said the COMBO-connection is dead using the new NGXu. What can I do to make this work ? Hope to hear from anyone Theo

Hello I am attempting to install LINDA for use with P3Dv5 with the NGXu aircraft. Is there any specific module for the NGXu in V5 or is v1.4 current? Presently, I have P3D v4 and v5 installed, I am able to use the modules in V4 but not V5 I have the current version of LINDA and FSUIPC installed and when LINDA starts all checks out OK

I am confused about installing Linda with the P3D add-on methodology. I am using the version 6.0.9 FSUIPC and the version 3.2.5.1087 Linda programs. I installed Linda into the ..\Prepar3D v5 Add-ons\FSUIPC6 directory. When I start FSUIPC, the log shows the following: I am confused as to why FSUIPC is looking for Linda in the modules directory and not in the FSUIPC directory. Is there some configuration step that I missed?

Hello Andrew, I found 2 minor Bugs in the config. First the yoke Autopilot knob: I*ve added a second Lvar. In your config only the button move in and out but the autopilot didn't disengage. Second the APU: to stop the APU I set the Lvar to "0". I attach pictures. Can please confirm my changes. Hi im using the lates LINDA and the lates P3Dv5 evverything is up to date... byside auto hot key because is an old program. LINDA is not avail to read the key and transfer to the SIM I try to reinstall LINDA but no luck. How can i fix this? Have a nice day

Hi! As I understand it the module for the Aerosoft CRJ is not supporting to select the heading via the HDG knob on the MCP2 Combo? Now it seems to have the same function as the ALT knob. Any special reason for this? Think it would be handy to use the MCP to set the heading, but perhaps that is limitations within in the sim for this. Best Regards Johnny Holmgren

So my mcp combo 2 just came in today and I set it up and everything and installed the Boeing 777 1.5 Linda module. I started my vrisim software, selected the pmdg 777x, loaded my pmdg 777-300er got linda up & running with the 1.5 Boeing 777 module but... the baro and minimums knobs were very difficult to use, it moves super slow and extremely inconsistently. On top of that every time I set a new binding it wouldn’t work and it would still use the original binding even though the it says my new binding is set. Can someone please help me 😞 I spent the entire day trying to figure out why this is happening but I couldn’t find any solution Im using the latest …

I'm running P3D V4.5 HotFix 3 and the latest download from FSL - (v2.0.2.450) for the A320-X, A319-X and A321-X for P3D v4 (64-bit) with Linda 3.2.4 and FSUIPC 6 (latest) - getting some stuck / non responsive / stacking controls (where you flick a switch and nothing happens till later and they all get released at once) (also some work all the time fine and other controls just get delayed and or stuck and trigger later even though they show as a LOG lua event in the Linda console) Is there a new FSL...MCRO file for this update ? thanks
