Hi, After many years of using LINDA in a very basic sense, I've just started seeing if I can use it in a more advanced fashion, and getting involved in the dark arts of lua programming! I'm starting with the Real Air Spitfire, and have managed to trap the LVar for the air filter lever (Cowl_Air_Lever)... I've then edited the module using the LINDA editor, which tells me the syntax is OK, and the functions show up and are able to be assigned to joystick buttons. So far so good.... except it doesn't work.... Here's my initial script -- ## AirFilter ## function Carb_Air_Intake_FilterInOperation() ipc.writeLvar(Carb_Air_Lever,1) end …

I am noticing that in some cases an assignment will work initially but after rebooting the sim and LINDA they no longer function. Looking at the config file for the particular aircraft, the assignments are still there. What can be done to troubleshoot, besides the steps you recommend in your sticky post?

I've read several posts but I'm just not getting the idea. I'm flying the Maddog with the Honeycomb yoke; I have one of the left yoke switches set up for 'AP hdg decfast' and 'AP HDG incr fast'. What I would like to do is use another yoke button as a shift, so that the same left yoke switch will then perform 'AP hdg dec' and 'AP hdg incr'. I can't make it work... screenshots attached and help is appreciated. https://imgur.com/a/xqZKQKt https://imgur.com/vYVfMzGhttps://imgur.com/vYVfMzG

I'm a user of Linda with the MaddogX module and I would like to program a key for fuel heat but I don't see one in the module. Am I missing one, or is there another one I can use in its place.

I have the version fslabs A320 v1.0.1.197, with LINDA 3.1.1.4 with the FSLabs_A3xx_v1.5 variant. When I start fsx, and I assign a command to one of the buttons I have, it doesn't work. In other words, LINDA is not recognizing the aircraft. my FSUIPC version is 4,974. I have LINDA 3.1.1.4 + FSLabs_A3xx_v1.5 + FsLabs v1.0.1.197 + FSUIPC4.974

I am configuring the new Honeycomb Bravo TQ for the NGXu in P3D v4.5HF3. I am trying to configure 3 of the toggles for wheel chocks, GPU and external air. The GPU and air are working. It would seem this should be simple, but doesn't seem to be working for the wheel chocks. I have the toggle (one button) set to CAPT GND CON-> wheel chocks on and the button on the other press of the toggle set to CAPT GND CON-> wheel chocks off. In either direction, the wheel chocks set/removed on the FMC flashes when the button is pressed, but the state doesn't change. Either from off to on or on to off. Any ideas what could be going wrong?

Hi, I recently managed to get the configurations for the Bravo + PMDG figured out as in my post on the other thread, but I am facing an issue with input lag on the PMDG specific functions assigned to the Bravo through LINDA. I am running FSX-SE, and LINDA 3.1.1.854 which I have only installed just today for the Bravo with the PMDG. 1. This issue is affecting me for all PMDG aircraft that I have installed (747, 777, 737), but does not affect other aircraft at all. 2. Besides just MCP functions, other PMDG specific ones lag as well (eg. Autobrake increase/decrease which I mapped to the small flap lever buttons, AP master switch, fuel cutoff switches) 3. It do…

I am brand new to LINDA. I understand it is a big assist with buttons. I currently use FSUIPC and my Saitek Pro Yoke to handle the trim, flaps and gear via buttons on the Yoke. Would I need to change those assignments if I begin using LINDA? Franklin Duncan

P3Dv5 LINDA 3.2.6.1111 FSUIPC6.0.11 (registered) This doesn't happen often, and has only happened since I've gone to P3Dv5/LINDA 3.2.6.1111/FSUIPC6.0.11, but I'll go to start LINDA--either on its own or as part of the start-up initiation from starting P3Dv5--and it'll just hang. Looking at task manager, it never reaches application but remains as a background process. Ending the process trying to restart simply repeats the hang, and only a reboot clears it. This is all that the LINDA log displays: [MAIN] LINDA Version 3.2.6.1111 initialising (@2101071527) ... [MAIN] LINDA can start ... [MAIN] Creating Forms ... [MAIN] Opening Splash form …

Using MSFS 2020 1.11.7.0 Using Linda 4.0.3 Using FSUIPC7 7.0.2 My axis assignments work fine. I am unable to get any of the linda keys to work in MSFS. It is connected to the SIM. Im using the MSFS default module, and I allowed Linda to make changes to my ini. I do not understand what I am missing. Oh registered version of FSUIPC; I tried to disable auto connect, disconnect and connect manually. No change. Reload LUA engine, no change. Resart everyhing, starting with Linda, MSFS, then FSUIPC. No change.

P3Dv5 LINDA 3.2.6.1111 FSUIPC6.0.11 (registered) I've used the tracer/console function before in the past, when running FSX:SE and LINDA 3.1.1, without any difficulty, and with much success. However, trying to do so now doesn't work. The LINDA advanced settings have both check boxes (developer mode, and associated with *.lua) ticked, and set as "verbose", with those two check boxes (GUI and LUA) ticked. Fault Diagnosis Mode is ON. The console window has LINDA logging level as "verbose", with both check boxes (log GUI events and log Lua events) ticked. LVars selected from the Tracer window show up in the console window "Lua Vars watched" but do not show …

Since the last couple of updates, the switch panel is not working. The button presses shows up with the correct command, but does nothing in the aircraft. I'm using version 4.0.0 and I have FSUIPC7. What could be amiss? Gnacino

MSFS default 747 AP panel with MCP1? Just bought MSFS, default MSFS keybindings have sporadic results and have to use mouse, there are no definitions for LNAV / VNAV. For instance the A/T binding works, but not ALT hold nor VS etc. Anyone who tried default 747-8 with MCP1, what was the result? Could that be made to work through Linda/FCUIPC? PMDG said it will take them a year to build a MSFS 747/737, pffff

I have just reinstalled P3D. Previously I had manually deleted all individual joystick commands and controls in the P3D control menu. This was fraught with error though when P3D either think it discovered a "new" old controller, or missing a command. I see through reading enough now that the recommendation is to "disable controllers" in P3D, and then assign axes and buttons in some combination of FSUIPC and LINDA. I have now done this, but have no lost the default P3D hat switch control. I had always before left "view pan" assigned as default to the "Hat POV". I have the Honeycomb Alpha yoke and have tried assigning the various hat positions "on press" and "repe…

I'm new to Linda, so please forgive me if I talk nonsense. I would like to program a button for the VRi MCP I to switch from 'Managed ALT' to 'Selected ALT' (MSFS Airbus/FlyByWire Mod). I used the Linda console to find the control code 68067 that would trigger that. The only way I found to use that control code was editing the fsx-alpha.lst and fsx-numeric.lst files, but the readme says they should not be modified. The code works and I can finally switch from managed to selected altitude with the MCP panel. What's the proper way to do this, if the fsx-*list files should nat be altered? Would like to do that with a few other controls, too...

I have removed the case from the MCP II to add my own panel face. I removed the on/off switch to turn the MCP on and off with a 5V relay. All lights up fine and Test Mode Shows on the Comm screen. Using a new USB cable and plugged into a 2.0 port, Windows 10 device manager shows no device connected to COM 1 port (the only device connected). However, LINDA has recognized the presence after Setup with COM 1 but no MCP connection to P3D V4.5. Green OK in Summary screen next to VRInsight. P3D and FSUIPC is shown running. Using FSX Default entries. The comm screen still displays Test (AP DNA, AP . or AP 🙂 Any direction to troubleshoot? Doe…

Is there an easy way of migrating settings? I know the maintenance function allows backups and restores, but I'm moving across rather disparate platforms. I'll be moving from FSX:SE/FSUIPC4975a/LINDA 3.1.1 to P3D Academic/FSUIPC6.0.11/LINDA 3.2.6.

Hello, Every time I try and select the NGX profile in Linda and hit sync to sim, it automatically switches back to FSX Default. Joystick commands are only recognized under the default profile as well. How can I fix this?

FSX:SE LINDA 3.1.1 FSUIPC 4975A First off, not complaining. LINDA is an awesome tool, and I enjoy it--and use it--immensely. I've recently begun using my old Saitek X-52 H.O.T.A.S., and unlike in the past, when I used Saitek's (ugh) profiler, this time I've used LINDA and FSUIPC to assign controls and functions. Having done so, I've discovered controls that neither LINDA nor FSUIPC recognize. Some, like the throttle rotaries and slider, I understand LINDA won't "see"...they ain't buttons or switches, after all! 😁 But the rest are, and I'm curious why they aren't seen by either program. The specific buttons and switches are: Mode Switch [MODE] (s…

Hi, I just installed LINDA for my brand new FS2020. I got a licensed copy of Fsuipc 7 and LINDA says it's all ok regard the connection with the COMBO. I set a couple of switch to change from INFO mode to AP mode and they works, I can see that on the main display. The problrm i that on the MCP, the only button working is CMD A, switching on and off the AP, no HDG, SPD, ALT, VS, FLC etc. Is it a temporary limitation or is a problem of mine? The radio part works well, the EFIS semms not working too but I have to check better. Thank you. Mauro

LINDA version 3.2.6.1111 Aircraft module "MS FSX Default aircrafts", v1.0, 10 Jun 2011 Prepar3D 4.5.13.32097 (SimConnect: 4.5.0.0) Alabeo Cessna 404 Titan After running into trouble with my new Honeycomb Bravo vs FSUIPC v5, I bought and installed FSUIPC v6, and re-installed a clean LINDA 3.2.6 with it. Now starting with a clean installation, my first attempt was a "simple twin-engine", to rebuild my mappings. LINDA took a _very_ long time starting up, showing a "Restarting LINDA" message in Prepar3D for more than 15 seconds. This is a big change from my previous install, where I never saw that message at all. Mapping the controller axes with…
