Voice Control Version

Hey, first i want to say how glad i am with the fs2crew for the NGX, they did a very great job! it can be very useful when i fly alone. however when i am flying with my friend i would like to keep the pushback option, is that possible? also, when i am using fs2crew for more realistic feeling can i download a track or use a program that will simulate the track and the ground crew when pushing back? one last thing, can i use it with fsdt gsx? thanks for the help in advance! Hey guys, today while doing my first complete flight with fs2crew i got one whish, when doing the departure brief, can i do it myself? i mean i don't want the co-pilot to brief and then when he ask any question, i can't answer myself. thanks for any help! BTW in the real life does it take 30 minutes like in the fs2crew?

Hi all, I'm a button version user who just slipped across the border to find out about this voice version. First, presumably you can setup to hear the FO voice out of the speakers, not just the headset. Secondly but more important - how do you know what to say for any given situation? Hi Guys, I experience some problems after I installed the version 1.2. I re-installed the ngx (SP1c) and then fs2crew. The problem is, after I enabled the voice control, started a new flight, but when i click on the gauges, they do not pop-up. Also CDU doesn't pop-up either and I can't click any buttons on the CDU. When I disable the voice control, everything in the cockpit work properly as usual. Do you have any idea how I can fix that ? thanks Kaan Turakan

Hi Byork! I am fully sotisfated with program, but have 1 small problem to solved: I am flying 3 monitors ( 2 SVGA Card) installed. 1 ( main)- for VC WINDOVED mode , 2 others monitors- for docs,charts,FSInn,weather prog and so on. I can move Main progaram panel ( undocked) to my 2nd SVGA monitor - near autosaved position of FSInn windows . Its good! But i can't save this new (needed) position of main panel of FS2Crew .. When i reloading sim- and call program- i see the docked window in my first monitor ( default program position) Is there any way to save undocked window position on my 2nd or 3rd monitor for FS2Crew main window? I have read topics but can't find …

just installed update 1.2 but config manager still reads v1.1.

I have a problem when pushback is finnished and i call takeoff flaps, then the orange text says b. Taxi or something... After a while the fo says im ready for the checklist... And when i ask for before taxi checklist it loops back to set takeoff flaps... And i have to start over.. The second time it works... Really annoying, any suggestions?

Hi,Is it possible to have the FO select auto brake selector to off,and stow speed brake handle,on announcement of manual braking? Thanks!

I might have found a bug, or maybe its something im doing wrong... When I in my departure brief choose engine bleeds off during take off the FO correctly turns of the bleeds before take off... But he never turns them back on... he says during the after takeoff checklist that the bleeds are on... but they arent... This has left me gasping for air more than once;-) Is this something I am doing wrong or maybe a small bug?... Its no trouble turning on the bleeds myself but when he says "Engine bleeds on" then jyou just trust him;-) /Niklas

If I manually tune the radios or altitutes etc, does that then stop FS2C from working? In other words can I manually tune once and then ask the F/O to do it the next time without messing up FS2C? Thanks

I'm using FS2 Crew SP1 (NGX Version) and have checked the FAQ's but on all flights after carrying out the runway entry procedure the frame rate drops to an unusable level. Whilst probably any program could be causing the problem, if I don't use FS2 crew, I don't have this issue. Has anyone else had this problem and hopefully know how to fix it. Thanks Mike

Thought I would fly a short flight for my Virtual Airline this morning, so I got everything setup, used the full 30 mins doing checks, double checking the route in the FMS etc. I normally start with the GPU and start the APU about 10 mins prior to departure. We carried out the Before Start Checklist, FA said we are ready to go, so I started my Virtual Airline monitoring software, contacted Ground and said we are ready for pushback. Can you guess what happened next - Yeah lots of warning lights followed by noisy bells - I forgot to start the bl**dy APU I love this sim, thanks Bryan :lol:

I am probably doing something wrong but after LOC capture and i hit APP, then CMD 'B', i suddenly realize i am wandering off my approach and glide slope. On glancing over at my CMD buttons, they are off and my FD indicates that i have no autopilot on (i.e. No green 'CMD' or yellow CH1, just FD). I am assuming it is my F.O. doing this. Any ideas as to what i'm doing wrong?

How many of the task are you using the FO for versus the Captain. For example are you using the FO to change altitudes or frequency during the cruise segment? During the initial setup? etc etc.

If you haven't made any weird changes at all to your panel configuration files (other than making normal customisations via the CDU), is it ok to start using FS2Crew for NGX without first reinstalling SP1c? Or is it these "normal" changes that FS2Crew needs out of the way before installing itself successfully for the first time? Many thanks. David London

Is it the FO job to turn off the autothrottle on a non-precision landing at ~ 50 feet? Is there a command for that? I have a switch to turn off autopilot at DH, but the FO doesn't not turn off the alarm; is that possible? Thanks.

hi byran i have done my first flight and a couple of questions 1. on climbout to cruise altitude the fo tells me he is ready for the descent checklist even before the transition level checklist is this normal 2. when doing the after takeoff checklists for some reason the fo does not always turn off the autobrake and turn off the landing gear 3. during cruise fo stops coming through headset and only through speakers even though hs button pressed 98 percent of program works flawlessly and i am setup correctly with the latest service packs, maybe just some glitches on my setup. wayne

First of all, thank you for this wonderful product. I first was unsure about buying, but since I did, I probably never fly without again. I am using the voice controlled version. I am also using some other 3Rd party products like EFB, REX, EZDOK, FSINN, XACARS. If not running them on a remote Laptop (EFB) I use to put the menus on a second monitor, same machine I am running FSX on. Now, is it possible to have the Fs2Crew menus on that second monitor as well ? So far I couldn't manage that. I am running in windowed mode, nvidia GTX 470, W7 Enterprise 64bit Oliver

Hello, My FS2Crew NGX not recognize the command "on". The FO sees as "armed" I have taken the training of Speech Recognition over the error continues. Any solution in this case? Att, André.

Bryan,Is it possible in a future update to include a toggle option to have the FO turn off the landing lights at FL180 instead of 10,000?A lot of real world airlines keep them on until FL180 due to VFR aircraft operating above ATC control. As far as I know, even the FAA recommends they be kept on until this altitude.If it's not doable, completely fine but just thought I'd ask.

I start in 2d. Upon starting FS2crew today the FO forgot to set cruise altitude during preflight phase. FO kept saying "Are you sure about that" even though it was set properly, driving me nuts. Ground crew only understood ground from cockpit phrase and then could not understand any pushback phrases so I had to use the PMDG pushback. Would not start engines Called V1 way to early at 100kias instead of 148kias I am sure I am using the correct phraseology, I have the pdf up on the other computer. Hi, This isn't a huge problem, but with my installation of FS2Crew Voice (SP1) for the NGX, I cannot make the F/O recognize my reading off takeoff speeds during the before start checklist. I notice via the green bar that my voice commands are being input properly; I see "V one one two zero", "V R one three four, and "V two one four zero", etc, being correctly interpreted on the green bar. I also pause for a second between takeoff speed read outs as specified in the user manual. After reading off the V 2 speed, however, the F/O never responds. I've tried pausing longer and shorter during call outs, but there is still no response after the V2 callout. Again…

I am just getting the hang of the NGX voice version, as i always used the Button version on my PMDG 747. I seem to have everything working as it should so far, except for the fact that i cannot save a flight. I don't particularly make a habit of saving flights, but as i posted a few days ago, i sometimes need this feature if for some reason i have to stop in the middle of a flight or i want to practice a certain phase of the flight with Fs2Crew. Anyway, what happens is, all FMC data is gone and i am just flying in a straight line with LNAV & CMD-A selected with no route to follow. In fact all FMC data gone.
