Voice Control Version

Radar Contact vectors me to heading 360. My MCP reads 360 for North, as does my ND. But, my FO doesn't understand. I have to say 000.

This may not be directly an FS2Crew problem but I am not able to use the voice control version. I bought a headset/mic combination, a Microsoft LifeChat LX-1000, from Amazon. I'm using Windows 7 64 bit and a Creative SB Audigy sound card. I set up voice recognition and worked through the training programme and the various bits of text to read and I was mostly understood ok. However, I did notice, when setting up the mic, that when I spoke, quite loudly, the level was not high - the coloured level indicator only moved about 5mm from the left hand end, even after setting a +20dB boost in Windows. Hi all,First time using voice control,I attempted my first flight today and I could not push back the aircraft. I tried all the options listed in the commands for the start crew including the FLT interphone on the captain's side. Ground crew will respond to "ground from cockpit" but not "cockpit to ground". The ground crew will also respond to cockpit from ground with out pushing the FLT interphone button on the captains side and turning off the service interphone on the overhead. Not strictly an FS2Crew support question, but I was hoping Damien could answer this for me. While departing in the NGX, if I have three altitude constraints in the SID say 4000ft, 5000ft and 6000ft, but straight after takeoff ATC instructs me to climb to FL180 before reaching the first altitude constraint - how do I accomplish this during a VNAV climb. My initial view is select 18000 in the MCP then press the Altitude Intervention button three times, but this feels very clumsy. Is the a better way used in the RW Glen

Hello All - First v1.3 is working like a charm (Thanks Bryan!) My question is more of an operational one. Is it possible to mimic a single engine startup/taxi (as if most airlines are doing to conserve fuel) then start engine 2 close to the runway apron. I was trying to think of the checklist and flow logic, but wasn't sure it would end up working in my favor. Nothing big, just wondering if anyone has done it! Thanks!

Hello Brian I have downloaded and installed the new file from my account but after installation the Config manager still shows v1.1 and not v1.3! I must be doing something wrong but I don't know what? King regards Edwin

Hi Bryan and Damien, I have to say that you guys, together with all of the FS2Crew Team, have done an outstanding job with the latest SP2 release of the NGX version. All of the issues I've reported thus far have now been completely fixed and resolved; indeed FS2Crew is truly one of the most satisfying and enjoyable addons I've ever purchased for Flight Simulator X. I am therefore somewhat sheepish in even possibly finding one small remaing issue, although it's certainly very possible everything is working correctly and that my current understanding of correct procedure is askew. Hello Bryan , when I say "altimeters" in speech recognition, and he understands the command appears in notpad "altimeters". After I installed SP2 the FS2Crew no longer understand this command. This does nothappen in SP1.command is reported as "altitude" but in notpad is correct "altimeters" Thanks,

Prior tot he latest update my voice package was working beautifully. After the update I can hear everything but no one can hear me. I have followed the recommendations in the FAQ and still nothing. Something interesting; in my speech recognition log I have the following:Current Task: Creating the Critical Section Object... SUCCEEDED! Bryan, thanks for the 1.2 update. I have made several flights with version 1.2, and since the update I no longer can hear the flight attendant (safety briefing, cruise message, etc.). I heard her announcements in the original release and after the first update, but I lost her afer version 1.2. I tried reinstalling a few times (including an uninstall and reinstall) but I still cant hear the FA. I have the CAB button turned up and I have the latest update for the NGX. Any ideas? I noticed a few others had this problem too.

During the checklist when the challenge of CDU preflight is called, the system hangs and keeps asking it over and over. What is the correct response. Then asked about flaps I say 5, green light, no response. When I say ok the clean up , nothing. Installed all the latest stuff.

Hi, yesterday I re-downloaded my FS2Crew NGX File from my "Completed Orders" section. I uninstalled the old one and installed the new file. In the Config Manger it still says Ver 1.0. Also when I start the Main Panel in the Sim the Line "Version 1.0" appears. I tried the download and the re-install twice, but I dont gegt another result. Thanks for your help! Christoph

I just wanted to come back and say, I was really hesistant about purchasing FS2Crew. I bought one version back when the original PMDG 737 came out and one look at all the windows that opened on my screen killed the immersion factor for me. So I never used it. So when I saw there was a voice control version available for the NGX, I thought, why not? I was very worried about the learning curve after printing out the tutorial, and the flows, and the available voice commands. I walked through the tutorial once and I was ready to go.... I think this might have been asked before but I'm not sure what the answer was and couldn't find what I was looking for so here goes...is there any way to have the FO set the transponder code? I always find it a bit tricky to the the transponder code using the mouse click spots on the center console so would be great if you could have the FO do it for you using a voice command.

Hello Anybody know how to ensure that the sim loads into the 2d panel all the time while using EZCA. I have it set to load in the 2d in FSX but on initialisation of the flight EZCA takes over and puts me in the virtual cockpit. I know now that FS2crew definitely will not work correctly if not loaded in the 2D. I have asked this question in the EZCA section over at Simforums earlier today but haven't got an answer yet. Maybe some of the learned folk here might have some advise. Thanks in advance for your help Martin

As a New user to Fs2crew, which by the way i now see what the hurry was to release the SDK. I Don't always start from cold and Dark because i usually don't have alot of time it Sounds like Someone is pounding on the Flight Deck Door, I Started from C/D using the Tutorial and the Flows and it still Does it. What am i Missing if anything , it Only Bothers me Because it Sounds like my Wife is trying to Bust into my Man Cave and Ground my Flight. :-) Or i have a Stowaway. Any Ideas ????

Amazing product and support... In fact I am just about to put the "FS2Crew" banner.. Now on the topic - I have developed a problem with the soft mute. As per the manual I have assigned the joystick button I use for transmitting on the online networks to the "prop synch" FSX command. When I want to talk with the controller I press the button, the red "M" shows up in the FS2CREW window and disappears. The green bar shows some words (whatever the speech engine has understood). To my amusement since 1.2 the F/O started responding sometimes, doing weird stuff he is not supposed to, like APU on or Gear down or whatever... Any ideas how can I effectively shut his ears only w…

A few days ago i posted a problem, thinking my F.O. was turning off my Autopilot on final approach. Well if he isn,t doing it, then it must be something to do with interaction between Fs2Crew and NGX. Of course it could also be the Captain. As i posted before, after Localizer capture, then sel. APP, then CMD. B, i lose my autopilot,LOC and G.S. and have to quickly take over and manually take the aircraft in. I normally do this at about 1200ft AGL, but by choice. If after the approach check list, i do not communicate with my F.O. and just follow my star and perform all of the flaps settings, gear down etc., everything goes as planned until i take over at around 120…

Hello Bryan My FA does say "Should we go ahead and start onboarding?" he never comes on. I thought I go ahead and re-install Sp1c again and FSCrew as well, but nothing. I am not sure what I may be doing wrong. I am not sure if its because of the livery transvania I recently installed. Thanks David

Hi Guys, Just did my first short flight this afternoon with the Voice Control Version and was blown away by it. Used to think where is the fun in getting someone else to carry out operations on your behalf, extra levers I have assigned on my Saitek throttle quadrant are now redundant as to CO can now take care of them :) Lot to learn still as I'm running through all the phrases I can remember..sometimes ending up just saying check but good fun Thanks for a great product Chris Ibbotson

Bryan, It may be possible but I may just not be saying the right things. At my local airport with the local airline they follow one of two procedures regarding ground services, depending if on stand or on gate. As far as I can figure out I can't do either of them in FS2Crew without going around it. I may be wrong and if so please tell me how. This is in regard to interacting to ground Services. #1. On gate, they have integrated external power and air. However the procedure here is that after landing they act as if coming in on APU, by starting it putting it on the bus and on gate they turn off both engines and then after the beacon is off the ground connects heads…
