Grand Caravan for FSX

The panel in the Cargomaster is very dark, to the point that nothing can be seen. It's there, I can see the pedestal, but noting forward of that. The Grand Caravan EX is fine.

I purchased my C208 along with the cargo expansion from FSPilotShop in 2015. I see my account has a download for both products but only a license key for the cargo expansion. Has anyone who purchased from them received the new license keys for their upgrades. Thanks ... Richard

Hello. I bought some years ago the c208 hd series fsx/p3d and the cessna skymaster fsx/p3d at the same time. The skymaster has been updated to p3dv4 and it works fine. The c208 hd series fsx/p3d has not been updated to p3dv4 and has transparent panel in v4. Any reason for that or will it be updated to v4 as the skymaster? Regards

Interested in buying a Carenado C208. What are the major differences between the "EX" version and the "HD" version? Seems there is a significant price difference ~ Which version is the newer version ? I noticed there is FedEx livery available for the "HD" version (requiring Cargomaster). Is there a FedEx livery available for the "EX" version ? Which version is generally more feature rich and bug free ? Thank you, Ken Boardman

Searching to the forums, there was a thread back in 2010 about an amphibian version of the C208. Was one ever made?

I recently returned to flight sim again, used to fly the original one with FDE mod a lot(the one made by a dude), and It was just so much better with it. Kinda interested in getting the EX, but I don't believe there's any FDE for it? And I'm worried that the flight model wouldn't be as good. Should I assume that it's already integrated to the EX? If not, how is the FM compared to the original? Thank you!

Is it possible to replace the uglistic default GPS for the newer 530 seen in later models like Aztec or Cardinal even? I know replacing entire radio stacks is complicated and I'm not looking to go there. I just want to replace the default GPS with a custom 530, it should be (I only assume!) only a matter of changing the file name somewhere in the panel.cfg. Please advise who ever knows the procedure. ps. sorry posted in wrong place and have no idea how to move it.

I'm having transparent textures for external views of C208 and C208HD. The pilot door, cargo doors, and rudder are visible, but nothing else. Saw where a couple of guys asked about this last year, but, saw no replies. Carenado support hasn't found a solution yet, wanted me to install FSX SP2 over Acceleration ??? Just installed the new FDE for the 208 EX and the eye point in the Virtual Cockpit is really far back (behind the pilot seat actually). Anyone else experience this?

I have seen many video on youtube regarding this plane (T/O, landing, climbing, descent, start engine, etc), why they keep propeller governor on high rpm almost all the time..?? When start engine, I'm already know why it should put on high/Max. If so, when did pilot adjusting propeller governor..?? I never fly this airplane in real world. Hi all, I have the Carenado C208EX and I love it but I have some questions: When I set the trim to say, 500fpm descent, the aircraft doesn't stay at this rate. I am used to it deviating slightly up or down but in the 208 it goes anywhere down to -1500 and up to +1000 all from a -500 trim. Same for level flight. Now, is this normal and caused by my weather engine (active sky next) or am I doing something wrong with this particular aircraft? Im mainly used to flying C172 and PA-28's and I don't get this issue. Also in the C208, when using the throttle to control pitch when trimmed, the response seems VERY slow. For example I lower throttle to 75% to kill s…

Hi everyone. My issue is when I start up the C208B EX about a few minutes after I start it up and everything is running fine the PFD AND MFD screens turn off the just go blank as if they have been switched off. Nothing has changed and if I revert it back to cold and dark set up and then start it they turn off then a few minutes later shutoff? Does anyone know what's going on? Simple question and I am surprised at the lack of information I can find on this question. I've spent about half an hour without any success. So the darn product is sold as being able to start in cold and dark, yet I have seen nowhere in any option that allows me to do so. Can anyone offer any advice on this. Cheers.

Hi everyone, I'm flying the Carenado Caravan with the excellent RXP retrofit that was posted somewhere else in the forums. I only have one problem: The KI 525 HSI that comes with the RXP FLT package does not seem to work when selecting VOR or LOC frequencies on the RXP430. I get the red nav flag and a centered CDI, and the default(Carenado) DME indicator doesn't show anything as well. When I use the NAV2 Radio (not part of RXP) the RPX CDI shows the radials and the DME is also displayed correctly. All of this was working fine the last few days, but now it seems to be broken.

Is there any chance for Carenado to make a G1000 upgrade. The whole FedEx Feeder planes are converting to G1000. I really think this would be a good idea.
