Haven't flown the C208B, in a while, but when I attempt a pushback with GSX I get an immediate tail slam, then the aircraft stays in the nose high position.

	Wondering is anyone else has experienced this?

	Thanks..

	Hey Folks,

	Had a request on how to successfully add the GPS 2020 to replace the default Carenado GPS unit in the C208B (Steam Gauges).

	First thing to do is to download the GPS 2020 unit, and the link below is to the current v12.4 in the AVSIM library.

	https://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=219150

	Once downloaded open the zip archive and copy the GPS2020.cab into the P3D Gauges folder, that way it's going to be available for any aircraft.

	Next, and since the Panel.cfg will need editing, get youself a nice Text Editor like Notepad++, a Google search will help in finding.

	Now navigate to the C208B's Panel.cfg (\SimObjects\Airplanes\Carenado C208B Grand Caravan\panel\Panel.cfg) and make a copy backup, just in case editing gets out of hand you've a backup without needing to re-install the aircraft.

	I generally call my backups along the lines of Panel.cfg.orig but you can call it whatever you'd prefer.

	Open the Panel.cfg in fav text editor.

	The first entry should be...

	[Window Titles]
Window00=GPS
~
Rest of [Window Titles] entries

	The next line set would be...

	//--------------------------------------------------------
[Window00]
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=456,378
window_size_ratio=1.000
position=6
visible=1
ident=GPS_PANEL
Type=Special
window_size=0.31,0.45
zorder=0

	gauge00=GPS2020!GPS2020, 0,0,456,378 //GPS2020 custom GPS gauge

	//--------------------------------------------------------

	The basics are we are removing all the original entries for [Window00] and using ones defined for the GPS 2020 (the above entries).

	You could either comment the origional [Window00] entries using 2 forward slashes for each line, or just replace the section (since you've a backup anyway).

	Following on...

	We arrive at [Vcockpit03] where we replace the original gauge05= entry with our GPS 2020 entry.

	//--------------------------------------------------------
[Vcockpit03]
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=512,512
visible=0
pixel_size=1024,1024
texture=$Panel_CARAV_3

	gauge00=GCCB!torque, 289,228,112,112
gauge01=GCCB!prop_rpm, 289,116,108,108
gauge02=GCCB!itt, 288,2,109,109
gauge03=GCCB!ng, 401,116,106,106
gauge04=GCCB!psi_oil, 399,2,110,110
gauge05=GPS2020!GPS2020, 2,161,278,145 //GPS2020 custom GPS gauge
gauge06=GCCB!Radios2, 2,64,284,95
gauge07=GCCB_RADIOS!Radio_KR87_ADF, 2,382,270,67
gauge08=GCCB_RADIOS!RadioTrans, 2,313,276,67
gauge09=GCCB!Autopilot, 2,2,280,60
gauge10=GCCB!AOM, 1,450,272,59
gauge11=GCCB!AOM_Lights, 274,466,207,42
gauge12=GCCB!anti_ice_amps, 289,342,69,68
gauge13=GCCB!Fuel_Quantity_Right, 404,229,104,104
gauge14=GCCB!ng, 406, 344 ,100,100
gauge15=GCCB!Hours, 288,413,82,50
gauge16=GCCB!Toggle_GPS, 63,181,157,93
gauge17=Controls!Control_init_3DKnobs, 0,0,0,0 //Set the 3D knobs to off TBM 28/02/2021

	Down to [Vcockpit04] where we comment out the Drag entry as shown below.

	//gauge07=GCCB!Drag, 60,60,0

	This doesn't have anything to do with the GPS but it does stop being thrown through the windshield when the throttle is dropped back.

	Once the edits are completed save the Panel.cfg, and that's it, all having gone well you'll have a GPS 2020 unit installed.

	Now the GPS 2020 when it pops open (shift+1) is a pretty squarish type of unit, however the good thing about the unit is it's map display won't squish out of shape when it's in the dash, it just shows a bit less.

	Given the size I typically pop it up to use it directly and monitor via the dash.

	For those who are observant you'll have seen the extra gauge17= in [Vcockpit03]

	This is a little control gauge I've coded myself to flip the 3D knobs on/off by tying the gauge to an unused switch in the LHS VC panel.

	I'll look at writing up something to cover configuring the 3DKnob/switch control on the weekend.

	Until then I hope you find this little write up of use.

	Cheers

Hello Pilots =)

I am a little bit disappointed. I bought the Aircraft yesterday from Aerosoft and installed it. First that i saw - i had to Download Version 1.0

1. Is there no Update for the C208? I got the normal Cockpit Version and not the Version with G1000

So i startet a Flight, working the Checklist. Until Departure everything works fine for me. Now i´m going in the Runway, set the T/O Power and at 70kts i rotate the Airplane. Until this Point everything is O.K.

After Lift-Off - the Airplane doesn´t get Speed. I can only climb with 300 ft/min at 70kts, Climb Speed according to the Checklist is 90 Kts. Even if i Level off, i can´t gain Speed. It Holds at 80 kts even when the Flaps are retracted.

So first i tried to make the Aircraft leighter, put some Fuel out of the Tanks and reduce the Load in the Aircraft - But same Problem. It also accours if i disable the Cargo Box below the Airplane.

Can anybody help? I paid 37€ for the Plane and it is unflyable for me. I don´t find any Help in the Internet about this issue. Maybe here?

If you want to see the Problem i can also take a Video of it and post it here.

Thanks in Advance

	Hello I recently got the Grand Caravan from Caronado for FSX: Steam Edition. However when booting up each model its only the Glass Cockpit version. I'd prefer to fly with the older default view with the analog dials and whatnot. I can't seem to find how to change the view or whatnot. Tried contacting Caranado themselves and haven't heard from them.

	What can I do? Or am I stuck with the Glass Cockpit version?

	Hi. I've got the G1000 Grand Caravan. All works fine except that when I try to load passengers or cargo via the FSX Aircraft - Fuel & Payload menu, the plane settles down on it's suspension and then immediately rises again. When I look again in the menus it is once again an empty plane. Any help would be appreciated

	Hi everyone,

	I do enjoy the plane but with one issue. The alt Sel knob does nothing. I mean it turns aqua and spins in the direction that i am turning it,. But, there is no input to the airplane or the display.

	I have to hand fly to altitude. Then I can hit the ALT button and it will level off at the nearest hundred. But, I can not adjust the altitude without once again taking off ALT and hand flying or hit the VS button and then select a climb speed.

	Is this normal?

	I have the FSX Steam version of 208EX.. I have uninstalled and reinstalled.

	I´ve observe that when im put A/P ON, the nose of the plane go to 15°-17° of pitch, around 800-1000 feet per minute of V/S and IAS decrease... im use the Bernt Stole FDE. Why the plane not fly under 10° pitch of nose?

	Hi. All of my available variations in FSX have the cargo pod. I see many pics without it...What am I doing wrong?

	My C208 is hardly to taxing in sceneries like Flytampa, Paulo Ricardo and others with modeled ground when the aircraft not on runway... like the parkings, tarmac and taxiways. I´ve installed the lua fricction and all planes was good, except C208. Anyone have similar trouble?

	I've been flying the 208 a lot recently and while I like the glass cockpit, it doesn't seem realistic for the bush flying I do in that aircraft. If possible I'd like to be able to switch easily between an older analog panel and the glass cockpit depending on what type of flight I want to make.

	Is there a simple way to handle this? Where can I even find a compatible analog virtual cockpit for the EX (and how would I install it/use it)?

	I'd like to avoid buying an older product just to get my hands on a different panel.
