PMDG MD-11 (Legacy Version)

Hello,I cannot see an installed original PMDG MD-11X repaint. It doesn't apperar on the FSX open aircraft dialog. New FSX SP2 install under Windows 7.The aircraft.cfg and repaint folder were correctrly installed. Can't remember how I fixed it successfully in the past. Help appreciated, thanks.

Hi,I've just bought the MD11 for 2004 via download.I start the installer but within seconds get a message telling me I don't have the 9.1 update installed. I know it has been loaded but to be sure reinstalled it yet still the same problem.How can I get round this so I can install the programmeThanks for any advice.Adrian

Ok so this is my problem: I switch the autopilot on after takeoff, but when i take my hands off the joystick, the force feedback starts to swing the joystick around. And because of this, the autopilot switches off and my plane falls from the sky :( . So are there any ways i can eliminate this? I really don't like flying without any 'resistance' in the joystick.P.S. I'm using teh Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 joystick.I would really appreciate any help :(

Hi all!!Please, does some one know how to configure the engine smoke system in the fs9 MD-11? I'm trying to do it but I don't how to right configure it. Al smoke trails are in the same level, despite all changes I make (too high for the wing engines, and too low regardin the central engine). Hello all,I have been toying with real life flight plans, FSBuild, the PMDG FMS and the PMDG fuel flow scalar since I bought it. I have the real life, FSBuild and fuel flow as close as humanly possible. I need to tweak the fuel figures in the FMS. Is the performance factor LSK functional? New problem, when I load the MD11 and the loading screen gets to 100%, the scenery is displayed, I get to see the MD11 main panel (with 3 black screens because it's initializing), I see the 20 second bar in top and when it reaches 19s, the simulator goes dark for a few seconds, Vista (64 bit edition) tells me that FS2004 has encountered a crash and FS2004 restarts. So the whole sim goes black when the counter reaches 19s and crashes ONLY when I load the MD11, no problems whatsoever with the 747 or 737. I tried a full reinstall of the MD11 but exactly the same problem persists.EDIT: I have also installed the latest update and some liveries. my PMDGoptions.dll version is 1.…

Hi everybodyI've just bought a new PC that can run FS9 pretty much maxed, and as a commisioning flight I took the MD-11 from KLAX to KJFK. Ran beautifully until the descent where it OOM-ed. Running XP32 with 2GB of ram.Here's what I was running : FS9, UT2004 at 100%, UTerrain USA, FSGenesis, RCV4, ASV6.5. Think that's it. :( I've already ordered another 2GB of ram, but after looking through some of the topics here regarding OOMs, I'm not sure if this will solve the problem. Will adding the 3GB switch and making the FS9.exe large address aware (are they the same thing?) sort this out, or is a 64-bit OS the only way forward? I'm not sure if the rest of my addons will work …

Hey,I have a little problem, which I hope you can help me with. As you know, there's an option to set buttons for your A/P disengage and A/T disengage. The A/P is hard to push on the yoke while it is moving, so I put it on my X52 Joystick. It is working fine, I can disengage the Autopilot by pressing the defined button on my joystick. Now I would also like to define a button for Autothrottle disengage, what I actually did in my FSX, but unfortunately it is not working. I've tried to press the keyboard buttons instead, but it isn't working either. The option inside the PMDG configuration isn't working as well.I really hope you can help me or have any idea what the problem …

Had an interesting occurrence on takeoff this evening, and I'm wondering if it's something I did wrong, or some fluke I caused in the plane.I was taking off from KSDF - had everything dialed in, hit the Autoflight button once to arm ATS, and took the runway. PROF was armed. I had the heading knob set to the runway heading, as this was going to be a radar vectored departure and not a SID. Takeoff was normal, ATS clamped and off I went. At about 600 feet, I hit the Autoflight button again to engage what I thought would be heading select mode. Dont get to fly longhaul much nowadays, girlfriend was away so planned a nice relaxing night at home with beer & pizza and a Atlantic hop. While parked at the gate in EGSS with the APU running I get a phonecall from a friend and end up going out all weekend leaving the Sim running till this morning, there was only 8000 pounds of fuel aboard when I left yet the Aircraft survived 3 days on APU power and still had 4000 pounds left?? Just noticed that the secondary display on the MD-11 for the engines shows EMV COMP and EMV TURB, shouldn't that be EVM COMP and EVM TURB? Or am I missing an update?CheersCraig Read

Plane in KSEA on the Ramp. All is working except FDU/MCDU when I enter KSEAYVCR or KSEAKSFO I'm getting Not in Data Base answer. I made a flight plan in FSX, but that din't help. Looks like there is not a direct download for saved flight folder to the FDU/MCDU like with other airliners FDUs. Any help? Herb

I am unable to get the stabilizer motion callout on the MD-11. I've tried everything to include manually moving the stabilizer almost from stop to stop in flight (it wasn't easy to maintain directional control of course) but never once did I hear the stabilizer motion callout and associated tone. Is this not modeled?

Hello,Is it possible to shut down ONLY the FO'S E-ADI and E-HSI ? when i click on this option in the PMDG optimization menu it also shuts down the second EICAS monitor, and i need it to be on.thanks,John Palmer

I know I will sound lazy, but let me first say that I did run the tutorial flight for the MD-11X last night. That said, I typically don't have time to do much in fsx but get in and fly. I am wondering if there is way to quickly configure the plane for take off by setting just the items that need to be set. I have completed several flights with no problems, but I get the stabilizer warning on take off and it feels sloppy. Now obviously, this plane was meant to learn in its entirety, but Until time allows, I would like to just complete some manual flights by setting the panel state to taxi, clicking a few buttons, and fying usually no more than an hour long flight. Hi Guys !!I am not able to fly with the MD11 i load the plane at a aprking i load FSpassengers then i turn on the battery but when i click ALT+ESC to go on windows or ALTGR+Enter to window mode to minimize it when coming back to simulator the panell start to light and all scenery around is messed up and the outside view the plane doesnt appear, Trying to rpeat the same operation to see if it come back to normality the screen become black flash all the time forcing me to close the simulator. Hi guys!Everything was running smoothly on my fresh FSX install with Windows 7. I have MD11 and J41. Haven't been using the MD11 for a few weeks now after i got my hands on J41.Today I tried to load a flight with MD11 and during the aircraft load in Free Flight window the FSX crashes. Howdy,Is there a particular way to increase the level of detail in the vc (besides using default fsx settings). Some of the text on the overhead is blury, same as the md11 logo on the yoke. Basically trying to find a way to sharpen up the vc. Input is appreciated! Thanks!NISX

After completing a flightplan in the FMC I inadvertently swept my hand across the left-hand end of my keyboard. I witnessed the flightplan swivel clockwise through 17 degrees on the HSI which had the effect of causing my first waypoint heading to end up at 330 degrees instead of 313.I afterwards noticed that my already saved flightplans for the 747-400X were affected in exactly the same way.I removed and re-downloaded both aircraft from the PMDG downloads site but the disorientation remains.None of my other aircraft addons are affected.Clearly some key or keys on the keyboard have the effect of changing the flightplan orientation, but I have no idea which.Has anybody had …

Not even with a fresh ATPL in my back pocket, did I manage to get this thing in the air. Human vs. computer!!!I've tried to validate my latest addition to my add-on library, the PMDG MD-11 (FS9) with the resulting error message: < Error number: 0x800c0008 Description: The download of the specified resource has failed.
