PMDG MD-11 (Legacy Version)

I've had this problem for quite sometime... I think it stemmed from putting failures on and somehow they stuck? I think I put 1 or more engines to fail, tried to land, exited FS, and thought that was the end of it... Now every time I fly, 5 mins into the flight, engines cut out. I went through the whole failure menu multiple times, and nothing is still activated. I uninstalled and reinstalled the whole program, and nothing. It effects both MD-11 and MD-11F, no matter which. I've learned that I could somewhat control the throttle by using F1 and F3, but after the engines cut out, my throttle stick on my X52 becomes useless. Et. Al. Just thought I would let you all know that after I decided to update to FSUIPC v3.90 I began having problems, such as rapid stab trim and constant horizontal stab trim movement, from the out side view it looks like the horizontal stab is waving at me when i engage the auto pilot. Yes my yoke is centered, yadda yadda yadda. I have even attempted to revet to FSUIPC v3.8.5.0 and still no luck. I kept all my files just incase and its right mucked up. I since reinstalled, it and still the same problem. I have tried all sorts of differnt weights even a little beyond empty and when i set the stab trim to 4.0 or 5.6 or what ever it computes, at rotate she wont unstick. ab…

Hi,I tried entering the following simple routing:EGLLN00W000PANCAFAIK this is inside the MD-11 range, but it complains I have insufficient fuel.The map draws incorrectly. Starting at Heathrow, a line draws almost due south to some point far off the 320 nm range map. Another line then extends down the side of the 320 nm range map towards the North Pole.The distance appears to be correctly computed however.To replicate:Go to Heathrow (EGLL), and simply set up a flight plan consisting of only:EGLL(T/C)N00W000(T/D)PANCBest regards,Robin.

Thanks in advance for any replies......So I thought I'd train myself a bit on visual approach and landings..... in order to do this I tried programming FMC with start and end as the same airport and no points in between. This worked sort of for the first circuit . Second circuit went a bit pair shaped as landing runway disappeared from the FMC and I got a disco. What the procedure for flying visual circuits without having to fettle with the FMC all the time?Paul Yates

Well, I've read through every post about this problem and tried everything with no luck at all. I recently installed the MD-11, and then later noticed that I was running an unregistered copy of FSUIPC. So, I retrieved my key again from Simmarket and was able to successfully register, but then once I tried to load the MD-11, I got the error message saying my version was too old, which is wasn't.So, I searched my entire computer for the duplicates or older versions and found 1 duplicate in the ASV6 folder and deleted it. Did not work. I even re-purchased FSUIPC to get a new key and that didn't help.I've done everthing I can think of. Do I need to re-install the airplan…

Hi,When flying into La Paz (airfield elev. 13,300 ft, ICAO: SLLP) how do you prepare the pressurization system for landing?What I do is set the dump valve to manual operation, and open it slightly to raise cabin altitude.Manual landing altitude setting works intermittently at best for me. Folks,I tried to find this in the manual, but can't seem to figure it out. By default, my MD-11 loads the virtual cockpit, but would like to work in the 2D panel for the tutorial. This is my first topic. Is it necessary for use PMDG MD-11 in FSX the SP2? Is it possible to fly with FSX SP1 only? I have problems with SP2 (Flickering virtual cockpit in pan view and rwys) and my FPS fall too much.Thank you.

Sorry if this has been discussed before but after landing the MD11 and disconnecting the autopilot, I get the disconnect warning that won't shut off. Is there something I can do to turn it off? or am I just doing something wrong. It's really driving me crazy.

I was curious to know if the Boeing 717 has for the most part the same automatic flight systems as the MD-11. It seems that the MD-11 has a more advanced set-up than the 747, 57, 67 & for that matter the 777. Would anybody care to comment? I much prefer the automatic warning systems and displays that are available on the MD-11 over the Boeing sytems. I hope the upcoming 737 NGX will have more advanced features. Hello,MD-11 FS9.1, since this morning I am experiencing drifting navigation from wapoint to waypoint, even short distance from 2 waypoint, the drift can go upto 5.0.I have of coure enabled G/I, as I have the G/I NAV on the ND in magenta.Any idea?Thanks for your input guys..Cyrille

I'm having a problem with using the MD11 in conjunction with FSPassengers. It seems the throttle isn't working correctly in auto mode and no calls from the MD11 is heard when FSP is active. If I cancel the flight in FSP all the accumulated calls from the MD11 is played shortly after eachother and the autoflight/throttle starts to work again. I have only tried it a few times sofar, but with the same result. Hi Folks,I am suddenly experiencing lack of textures in my (FS9) MD-11 VC (see attached images). I have been using this aircraft almost exclusively in VC mode (using TrackIR) since its release and have never had a single problem with it. My PC specs are well capabable of running VC smoothly (as i said I have used it flawlessly for a while). All of my 2D Panels/Textures/Systems look & work fine, all external textures are fine. All my other PMDG/LVLD virtual cockpits are working fine even at their high resolution/detail settings. I have worked my way through the mD11 tutorial and it seems togo well except at the end.It starts to descend at the correct position and continues to the sid.It then gets the glide slope and the localliser and is indicated on the FMA.However dual land is not indicated but the aircraft follows the glide slopecorrectly.When it is very near to landing a loud voice repeats -AUTOPILOT -AUTOPILOT but I land with a struggle! What went wrong?I have done this twice being very careful to follow the guide.One other point, in each case I saved the filght at cruise and continued to destination from that point.
