PMDG MD-11 (Legacy Version)

Hi Guys , I try so many times doing Vor2dme approach in VNKT (Nepal) but i dont what it goes wrong when it come to ktm intersection after d3 Dme my plane PMDG MD-11 move towards other direction not straight to runway. please help me i try so many times i really cant figure out how to make the approach. please can any of you explain me in detail what procedure should i follow as to land. please waiting for you speedy reply. Hoihoi...i have realised a little prob with the PMDG MD11...during landing the autobrake went off at about 100kts andi have to brake manually. i´m using FS9.1, PMDG MD11, FS2crew for the MD11 and have a registrated Version of FSUIP!Any suggestions on that? Hopefully somebody can help me, many thanks in advance!!!

Hello. I know this is a boring topic but it has to be asked!I have eventually figured out how to save the panel statein the PMDG save .... (through a download in the PMDG [miscellaneous] website).OK great.....that works fine now and I can, so call, "save" a panel state, but......when I do save a panel state and reload it again it does not load my settings as before (i,e the FMS or ND for eg!!) Do you know what I mean. Im sure its to do with admin rights but it really is confusing me!!! Im pretty confident my FSX is running with admin rights and I always load the PMDG load manager with admin rights....believe me...it all seems to run great until I try to reload the fligh…

So today i did a little flight with the beautiful MD11F with Fedex Livery. Since i only have had 2 hours of time i decided to do a short hop EDDF-LSZH.I wanted to check out whether my computer can handle a complex airliner with bad weather conditions (default) and a bigger default airport. Well, it can 25 fps the whole time :( (locked)Now i thought i share a little picture shortly before T/D. I wanted to do an Autoland but as you can see here, it is only an ILS approach because of missing autoland feature at RW 16 :( So it was a little harder than i expected but i came down in the T/D zone. A/P disconnect was 2 seconds after taking this picture. Now here it is :(

To PMDG TEAMI'm not the kind of person to use forums unless I have a major problem I can't solve, but I thought it worthwhile broadcasting my thoughts on your MD-11. I've racked up a ridiculous amount of time on FS over the years but I have never experienced the kind of superb product you've churned out with the MD-11. Everything, from panel, to sounds, to the model, to systems, is totally top notch, and while I can't profess to know the MD-11 first hand in real world terms, from what I know of it's design methodology, you have obviously worked very hard at making this product as' real world' as possible. Hi,I am now about to upgrade my processor from the actual i3 ( most likely ) to an i7 920/930.Many simmers over-clock it with a good cooling system. My question is: Which one is good? ( keeping in mind that I have in mind to spend around 450/500 € between processor and cooling system... and 200/250 € will be spent , obviously, on the processor... ) Thank you very much for the assistance.

Hi all, I noticed that when switching from the MD11 cockpit view to an external view and then back into the cockpit view, the frame rates drop from 80fps to 16fps. I then switch from windows mode into fullscrean mode and back again and the frames are back up at around 80fps. I run windows7 64bit on a i7 3.2GHz PC with FSX Acc. Any help would be appreciatedThomas

If the wind is 212 @ 12, what should you enter on the wind/slope page on the FMC on the take off page?I have noticed if you enter 0/0 you get DN0.0/HD00But what if it is 212@23?thanks

Hi,I'm posting here because I have a little problem with my PMDG MD 11. Everything works properly except the IRS that take too much time to align...For example look at this video : http://www.youtube.c...h?v=1vaAsbs5OPoOnce the three switches are on the NAV position at 2:00 everything appears on the ND a few seconds later, but when I do exactly the same, my ND appears like this for about 5 minutes before I get all the information :We can notice as well that I initialized the IRS in the FMC...Does anybody have the solution ? Greetings all,Question about adding altitude constraints, specifically an at/below combined with at/above. As an example, on the KLAX "SEAVU2" arrival it says to cross SEAVU at/above 12000, at/below 14000. On the FMS "Vert Rev" page, I can add the at/above OR the at/below, but not both. The problem is that adding one deletes the other. How do I program this constraint into the FMS? Many thanks.

Hi,You know the beautiful PMDG MD-11 brings the options to set key kommands or joystick buttons for some functions like the AT disconect. I tried to set some buttons of my Cyborg X joystic for some functions like the AT disconect. But I wasn't able to set any buttons. I tried some joystick buttons but any of them was acceptet. Does sombody knows how I could solve this problem?My PC runs Windows 7 64-Bit, FSX + Accelaration is installed. Best regards,Jonathan H

Hello,At the moment I'm using the PMDG MD-11 and 747-400. Some airport's runway do not have any ILS approaches obviously, some of them have RNAV instead. The problem is, I don't have any experience on how to fly them. It's hard to find anything on Google on how to fly them. I know that RNAV is basicly an GPS approach. My questions:1. What is RNAV exactly?2. When I choose an RNAV procedure, it's asking for a Mininum Profile. What do I have to enter? Is it just the same as the Decision Height (Mininums), or something else perhaps?3. How do I fly it. Should I use NAV and PROF (LNAV/VNAV) in order do let the AP fly the approach? First off I have had HIGHMEMFIX=1 in the FSX.cfg file under [GRAPHICS] for about 4 months. These screenshots were taken within the last month. This issue with the MD-11 has existed on two computers, two operating systems (Vista 32 and Windows7 64 bit), three graphics cards GT220, GTX 285, GTX 580, two FSX Gold installations from two different sets of DVDs' and numerous uninstalls and reintalls of various combinations of FSX and addons. Hello. I have just planned flight from EPWA to LHBP, but I haven't got any SID and STARS for LHBP. I have AIRAC 1106 and I found a .txt file named LHBP in PMDG/NAVDATA folder but when I want to set STAR in FMC I can see <none>.

I DOWNLOADED MY MD-11 AND HAVE NO INSTRUMENT PANNAL OR FMC (DARK SCREENS} WHEN I TRY TO LOG INTO PMDG SUPPORT I GET A MSG SAYING CAN NOT FIND MY ACCOUT. I CAN LOG INTO MY CART BUT NOT SUPPORT.

Hi all.I was experimenting with the MD last night. Got the ILS and landing all set up. But for some reason 2 miles out the aircraft was still over 200kt.Auto pilot was out, and I was at minimum thrust. I did a go around and hand flew a back to finals, and the speed slowed back to 160KT. ( more normal app speed)Genarally speaking when descending, the aircraft is too fast. I think it is flying the FMC speed. :Thinking:A few tips from MD11 fans would be appreciated.

Hi All,I just completed the build of a new system (specs) and have a small texture issue with the MD11. It seems during instance where I am close to the ground, this happens:It usually appears only in 2D, when I move from an external view back into the 2D, and only when on the captain's side. Changing an internal view to anywhere in the cockpit and then back to the main panel makes it go away. Normally this only happens below 8000 feet, climbing or descending.
