PMDG MD-11 (Legacy Version)

Hi guysI have a small problem with the load manager that looks a bit odd. I tried searching the forum for a solution but did not find it yet. Can anyone help?MD 11 installed under windows 7 64bit. This is what it looks like:Thank a lot!

I'm new to the MD-11 and having one issue in trying the tutorial flights.I have reset the FCP altitude in advance of the T/D point but descent is not beginning then. As near as I can tell, I didn't push or pull the Alt control knob in the process.I have had to hit the PROF key to get descent to begin.As far as I can tell, the PROF ascent to cruise worked properly.What am I doing wrong or do I need to check?Thanks,Steve B

Hi I have a problem with my autobreaks after aborting a takeoff. Once I pull back the throttles, the Auto Breaks will not deploy and then I get the ABS disarm alert. I de-selected all joystick break axis but the problem still occurs.Kind regardsThomas

I intend to put all possible MD-11 liveries into FSX,in particular the Swissair one.Unfortunately I do no remember anymore how it is done.Can anyone help me.ThanksHubert Werner

in the real MD-11 the wind shear warning will say "headwind shear, head wind shear, tail wind shear, tail wind shear" them auto maticly apply power for a missed approach. I have never encountered a wind shear in this aircraft so it hasn't been tested.Michael P.

Hello, I've recently bought the PMDG MD-11. It's a great airplane first of all. I've already done a few flights and everything worked fine. Until today. I was doing a flight from KDFW to KORD. When I was approaching 14L, everything suddenly froze for about 3 seconds, then it continued normally for about 10 seconds, and then another freeze of 3 seconds. This goes on and on and on. I'm having good fps, even over big cities, about 20 fps. I'm not having this problem on all airports though. Until now I only had it in KORD and KJFK. Hey! Just got back to flying the MD11 after break of studying (and I have to admit, playing some other games as well :(). Anyway the problem I have is that the engine/wind noise when flying, especially on final/low altitude is stuttering, or stopping. Very annoying. Its hard to explain but the sound is crackling or stuttering. I've checked DPC latency and it seems to be normal (50-100us). The only addon I'm using that is influencing the MD11 is Fs2Crew. EDIT: I only seem to have this problem on saved flights where I used Fs2crew in the original flight. Thanks in advance

Hi all,New customer here. Just bought the MD-11 COMBO and its a real beauty by the way!BUT, this thing is getting on my nerves... On ground and during taxi when the engines are not at its full power, the sound is fine. Once I spool up for takeoff and all the way after that to cruise and land I hear sound stuttering effect. The engine sound is constant and smooth but I hear another stuttering and discontinous sound in the background. What is that? and any idea how to eliminate it?Thanks,Fouad

What is the normal setting for the Bank Angle Limit Selector? Is AUTO the default setting? I understand that the setting cannot override FMC computed turns, but wonder what the setting is when non-FMC flight/manual activity is happening?Thanks,Paul KuhnCurrently KSTL

Just bought this great aircraft, and I'm trying to set up the flight in tutorial 1. I've got the plane at Heathrow (EGLL ) at gate 212 and I've loaded the panel state, all as the tutorial instructs.I then bring up the load manager, and follow all the instructions as regards MD-11 Mixed Class, 2/3 PAX, and clicking on the white boxes in the forward cargo hold to turn them green. The tutorial says ' Don't worry about fuel as this is set already via the panel state we loaded before '. It makes no mention of altering the fuel quantity slider ( arrowed in the picture below ) which by default has a value of 77.000 as shownOnce all this is done and the info sent to FSX, I find…

Why does the flight path divert from the planned routes by cutting short the various waypoints? In the photo below, the path turns towards the next waypoint approxiamtely 5 NMs from the CADER intersect. When this happens on a decent, the autopilot has to rapidly readjust the decent rate that seems to have been calculated on the longer route (all the way to the waypoint) once the next waypoint becomes active in the FMS and sometimes there is an altitude elevation error message in the FMS because of this.

Guys;Please see if someone can help me.I've been having some CTD when I fly the MD11. Generally, the CTD is related to file ntdl.dll. I've searched here and on other sites, and I know it's a Windows problem, not a problem of PMDG.But that always happens when I fly the MD11, just my favorite airplane. If I speed up the time, so I'm waiting for the CTD. I have the PMDG 747 too, flying a lot with him, and nothing happens.I use the UT2, RC4 and my fsx.cfg is tweaked by Bojote. I use W7, 64bit and the error is related ntdl.dll in syswow64.I'm doing something wrong? Is there a way to, if not stop it, at least reduce the incidence of error?

Good evening all,I have been flying this bird for a few months now and loving every minute of it. This last week I have noticed a 'Hyd' message in yellow in the list of messages below engine parameters on the third display. Anyone know what this is or how to get rid of it? Hi,About a week ago i bought the PMDG MD 11. I like it very much. :-)But i found some little things which maybe could Be changed:- The number of PAX in the passenger plans could not Be changed correctly. The third digit is not changable like it is said in the documation. I can change the second digit but when I want to change the first digit the second digit changes also.-The 'mouseover' text for the orange engine 3 start knob is: 'Engine 2 start'. It should be: 'Engine 3 start' I think. It would be nixe if somebody is able to fix that. Best regards from Austria,Jonathan Huschle

Hi All, Got a problem with the extaral lighting ie taxi, wing light's not showing up when i switch them on to taxi or takeoff and landing.when they do show up its only like spot in small area's a good 30 to 40 feet infront of the cockpit this is only at night when you see it the most if there anyway to fix please do let me know i've also tryed reinstalling twice.

Hey,I installed FS2Crew for my MD-11 and wanted to disable the PMDG F/O callouts via the in-game menu. However, after unchecking the box next to the callout options and clicking "OK", i still got the callouts. When I checked the menu settings, the box was re-checked. It turned out that I cannot change ANY options from the PMDG options menu such as fuel quantity, metric or US systems, etc. As soon as I leave the menu by clicking "OK", all settings are restored to before I changed them. Is this some problem with write-protection? Does anyone else have experience with this particular problem?Thank you in advance for any help.Cheers

I have downloaded from AVSIM the following MD11 textures (FS2004) UPS, Lufthansa Cargo and BAW. I have followed the instructions to the letter, but when starting up the FS, selecting MD11F GE or PW all I could get was the dafault PMDG livery. After this I tried various methods of installation like copy textures across to the MD11F files, unzip etc., but the results were always the same. I checked and double checked whether the aircraft cfg. files were correctly pasted as well. Any advice would be welcome.Best regards,Nick

Hello, I own the MD-11 for FS9 and now I can't hear the "PMDG_MD11_Cockpit" sound (it's the one you get when you get power supply connected); obviously I tryed to re-install the MD-11 (3 times) but still don't work. When I connect power supply (external or from APU) I get power but.... no noise!I'm using the MD-11 for more than a year and it worked fine all the time, now I can understand what's wrong!!I'm also having CTD problems (it seems becaus of VGA problems) but not only with the MD-11.Anybody knows waht's wrong here?Thank'sMarco

Hi my name is Emil Nilsson.When i first start up the plane from cold and dark it says on the speed indicator "NO TAXI". And when i take off NAV stoppes working it just says for example "HEADING 150" and it isent even heading 150. Why is this happening please help me!

Hi,all!I just came across this term 'parallel rudder' in the Automatic Flight chapter in PMDG manual.Sounds like a trim compensator or something.But I couldn't find a more specific description in the manual,either in AFS chapter or Flight Control,maybe I just miss something?

Hi!Just wanted to know if there is anyone here, that can please show what settings for the weather to use for the MD-11, so that the FMS isn´t always producing Overspeed-Warnings or Altitude errors.I am using REX for the real world weather.Thanks!
