Question for PMDG: This aircraft was a test case for development in x-plane. Is there any verdict yet as in succeeded and yes we are going to do more or is the jury still out. In a previous post I mentioned that when you have NAV1 tuned to a VOR, the localizer deviation bar appears in the PFD, which I'm not sure is right. Now, I found more or less the opposite. When both radios are tuned to the ILS frequency for the approach, the RMI needles will point to the ILS. The same with the pointers on the ND, if you set the EFIS controls to VOR1 and VOR2. Since the LOC works completely differently from a VOR I doubt if that is correct. Could anyone enlighten me?Thanks,Leo Bakker

I have 2 flights now in a row in different parts of the country not allow me to climb over 175kts. My throttle is fully open, TAT -13c. I have the green up for flaps on the speed indicator but my flaps are fully up. I am at level flight and still only 175 knots. Manual speed is set to 250. Something isn't right and for 2 flights in a row.my fuel is also light so it's not overloaded. http://postimg.org/image/4ah233eej/

After researching the benefits of Prepar3d I decided to purchase and convert. In the research I did do, there were discussions about how well add-ons performed etc and most indications were that the add-ons performed well but for whatever reason, in all of the reviews I read, I never caught the point that for a growing number of add-ons the publishers are making the business decision to require a complete repurchase of their product to use in Prepar3d. Hi Folks, trying to purchase the DC6 for xplane. After being refused two times, I called my bank and we BOTH tried making the purchase to no avail, still getting denied. My bank says its on PMDG's side since I do have sufficient funds as does the bank So far it's taken me an hour...my valuable time- As an attorney and PR prof (retired now) my time was always valuable. As is everyone's, Trying to find customer service is like trying to find the Holy Grail! Hi Guy's I'm new here and I need some help but my english is not the best. I have changed to FSX Steam and I uninstalled FSX. If I open PMDG OC and when I will exectue a PTP the following error is show -> "The following error occured: 'title of the repaint' is for the PMDG 777 or 737 but the variant is not installed." Have PMDG pilots found Navigraph cycle 1604 rev.1 faulty? I've observed that Navigraph cycle 1604 (released 2016-03-31) is faulty when flying PMDG. I understand that this is a Navigraph issue. Very difficult to achieve landing and erratic on take off and cruise. This same issue occurred with previous cycle 1603. Presumably this was noticed by Navigraph, and a 1603 rev.2 was released. That released worked. Work around is to install 1603 rev.2. Tried it and works ok. I've notified Navigraph support forum. Sydney Turner Alais: topfly

I am wondering, when is the JS41 coming out for fsx steam edition? The reason i ask is because on PMDG's website it says in february, was that february 2015/2016, or is it february 2017? I have been waiting so long for JS41 steam edition, i am literally everyday searching for "JS41 steam edition" in hope of finding a new status update on that plane. Hey Guys, I'm 41 but at my age, I jokingly refer to myself as 'a child of magenta'. When I first started paying attention to aviation, the 757 and 767 were new and while I did see DC10s and 727s, INS as a method of navigation was on its way out and GPS was the next hot thing. I saw a discussion about older methods of navigation and PMDG's release of the DC6 started me thinking. While I'm a person who reads a lot of history just because I'm curious, I really don't know the technical details of older ways of flying from A to B. As we all know FSX ATC is very basic and out dated. However early arrival information is helpful in determining runway selection for landing. FSX ATC will not give you access to tower or ATIS until you are very close ie 20-30 miles at best. I believe that when you can select your airport from the ATC (nearest airport menu) you probably cannot contact ATIS or Tower by radio frequency. Why FSX stops radio contact up until this final position I have no idea. Does anyone know how I can contact atis or tower at an earlier time (say 60 miles out) or obtain rwy info so that earlier preparation and FMC set up is possible. Regards Paul

The way I see it, Beta is only active when you are going in reverse? So the manual prop blade pitch control only happens when you're reversing and PG is active when you're moving forwards (whether it's taxiing on the ground or in flight). Correct?</p>

Hello, I am trying to set up the account at PMDG website, in order to purchase the 777 product. However, when I try to register, I receive a message that my email address has been already used for purchase a product, and I need to log in via the Order Code. I have decided to ask for the code (using the same email address), however I get another 'error' message (no orders have been placed - no wonder My last order was for 737 for FS2004). Hi As I'm from the UK, I operated from UK/European airports which use HPA, when I load the 737, 777 and I'm guessing the 747, they load automatically with IN, is there a setting where the pressure setting loads in as HPA as default. Joe
