However I do have a question hence the title I am experiencing some strange textures on the display and when In a night environnement in the cockpit of the PMDG 777 and when I turn on MCP lighting or inboard lights the textures cover the cockpit panels them self...( If I zoom move really close to the displays or panels the textures somewhat disapear it really depends on perspective) Now I believe I have seen this in some videos and its not very smooth looking. So, the past few days my sim has been loading the wrong aircraft-specific settings INI files for the NGX and 77X. It'll load one from a different aircraft - in the PMDG setup page on the CDU, it'll have all the right settings from the wrong file loaded. I haven't been able to consistently reproduce the issue but it's happened several times now. What exactly happened this morning: I finished one flight, shut the sim down and did other stuff, then fired the sim up again with another aircraft... and it loaded the INI from the previous plane (the AS 739 and UA 738 direct from the OC). Hello, i would like to know if there will be any chance for discount in near future for people who bought PMDG products for FSX and would like to switch to P3D? I have bought 737&777 for FSX without even knowing P3D exist, i regret that decision and would like to start flying with P3D but i can not afford buying even more for the same products that's why i am wondering if something like this might happen?

Hi All, Does anyone know whether PMDG have said whether the new 747-8 will come with the airport display option on the ND? I tried a search but it didn't pull up any responses.

I have heard two theory's regarding using PMDG models for default flights in P3D. 1. Do not use any PMDG as the saved default startup aircraft. 2. It is ok to use PMDG as the startup aircraft as long as you load and save the Piper Cub first then load the PMDG and overwrite that flight.. Which is true or better yet what is the best advise. Good morning, it appears as if every time Windows 10 gets one of the major upgrades (recently the Win10 Anniversary Update) you have to re-activate all PMDG aircraft. Only a slight annoyance, but perhaps something you can look into in a future update / activation process revision? Thanks so much, Jan

Does RNAV provide vertical navigation? If not, what is the source of vertical navigation when using RNAV? Yesterday I flew into KSFO using GPS RNAV Y 10R successfully but received an RAAS warning of a long landing. If I was flying into an airfield using RNAV but was vectored away from my planned route, what would be the meaning of a request to 'report established' when there is, therefore, no ILS being used? Elucidation much appreciated.

Hi, I've bought the PMDG 777 and used it in fsx. Now I've updated to fsx SE, my PMDG OC won't let me instal new liveries. It doesn't say I need to but it but it won't let me do something either. Could somebody please help me? Thank you in advance

Quick question, which i can't seem to find in the forum: Will the 747-8 depend on the 747-400, much like the 77W and 736/737 depend on their respective main packages, or can it be purchased separately? Thank you.

This question pertains to the NGX737. On engine start up, my reverse throttles/handles pop up to idle thrust all by them selves. I can reset them, but as soon as I begin to advance the throttles for taxi, they keep popping up. This also kicks off the auto throttle if it has been activated. I am also having a problem getting the engines to throttle up when beginning to taxi. I get visual movement of the throttles in the sim, but no response from the engines. This issue seems to be sporadic and not sure if it's related to the reverser issues. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Paul Levenda

Not a PMDG specific topic, but since PMDG have the best 777 on the market, I wanted to ask here as I don't frequent any other forums - sim or real. A report released here in Australia regarding missing flight MH370 says that data collected shows a descent rate of 20,000ft per minute. I was just wondering if any real-world 777 drivers here can say if that's really possible, because I'd have thought a descent rate that fast would surely have to break Mach 1 and rip the wings from the plane with the aircraft crashing into the ocean with so much speed as to entirely obliterate it.

I've read a topic in the manual concerning additions to the PMDG navdata, but don't follow it very well. Is there "step by step" somewhere that explains how to do this with the FMC? I'd like to add some of the Antarctic airfields. Thank you, Ken Boardman

All, We've noticed a number of you reporting - here and via the support system - that you are unable to activate because of a connection issue. Additionally, some of you are reporting that the server is returning a notification that you do not have a valid license. While this usually indicates a connection issue on the user's computer, or at some point in between, we are also looking into this on our end. Hello, I have a question about aircraft in the P3D, why is the view when you first load your plane behind the aircraft? Is there a way to change this?

Captains, At about 0900Z/02JAN, we replaced the FSX installers for the PMDG 777-200LR/F and the PMDG 777-300ER. We swapped new installers in an effort to eliminate some false-positives being thrown by the installer's registry error check process. What we are dealing with is that there is a condition in which FSX-SE users might have only FSX-SE installed on their machine, yet their registry shows installation data for both FSX-Retail and FSX-SE, and this data points to the same physical location on the drive. This should be a major-no-no but was done intentionally by the Dovetail Team in order to simplify customer installations, I would presume. This metho…

Hello everyone, 737 8-900 base and 6-700 expansion installed into Win 10 (64bit) P3D v3.3.5.17625 is not working for me. I load just fine but nothing is clickable, the screens are all black, and I was not asked for my license when I installed.. (although I had it installed before so I'm not sure that's an issue). After installing I loaded a session and the plane sits in a non-functioning state, Nothing is click-able or drag-able, screens are blank and nothing functions. Hi everyone , Just to bring everyone up to date, I bought these 2 files - 747-400 / 8i - BAe Jetstream both back in 2008/9 way before FSX -SE version came out . Now I've tried to download them to the new FSX SE and im getting a "file location error" after i change where in the computer i want the files to download to . so in stead of ... Yesterday I bought the NGX. Everything normal during installation, except when I try to select the product on fsx: it asks for the code, I paste the code and it says it is wrong. I dont to think that PMDG gave me the wrong key, it's too bad... Thank you in advance
