There's a great picture by one of the beta testers of the cockpit that you can rotate around for a beautiful view of the cockpit. Question for the PMDG team. I see what I think is weather radar. Will this functionality require other software from another developer to operate, or is it all included in this product? I, personally, would prefer the latter for simplicity and for financial reasons.

Hi all, I have created the following RNP proceduers for NZQN Queenstown for PMDG aircraft (they are links to the charts): 1) RNAV (RNP) Y RWY 05 & 23 2) RNAV (RNP) ANPOV TWO ALFA Departure, RNAV (RNP) ANPOV TWO BRAVO Departure 3) RNAV (RNP) IPNOR TWO ALFA Departure, RNAV (RNP) IPNOR TWO BRAVO Departure They are not perfect, and PMDG also does not support true RF legs. I have used AutoCAD to: Scale and align the charts Create some pseudo-waypoints to create the arcs depicted on the chart Get the positions of the various fixes by measuring distance and bearing from known points Luckily, the charts are to scale, but they were not intended for this purpose, s…

Has PMDG ever thought of producing an MCP Interface tool for FSX. I know that there is one out made by Polly-pot, but to me it seems vastly over complicated, for an ordinary, not very tech savvy user such as myself. I still have the PMDG FS9 version, which has never let me down, it was just click the exe file, it installed with no problems, and usable straight away. I don't suppose the FS9 version would be transferable to FSX, by any chance, would it ?. Cheers.

  6. Started by mcbellette,

Hi, First of all, no - I am not talking about a supposed flaw in the new 747 product being produced by PMDG. I have a question related to the old one that is also related to the new one. I recall a couple of years ago a post in which a member of this forum pointed out a visual oddity in the cockpit windows when seen from the spot view. I'm sure if you've read that post you'll know what I mean, but I haven't been able to find it to link to it. I was wondering if that oddity has been fixed in the new product, because if I recall correctly, it wasn't an easy fix and I don't think it ever was fix (not that I minded).

Just did a complete Win7 64 OS reinstall to then install Prepard3D _3.4.14.18870. Sim working OK but after installing the 737 and 777 sets when I load the aircraft the serial activation window doesn't appear on any of the models. Have removed and reinstalled everything and completely disabled antivirus and firewall. It loads the aircraft with dead panels, etc but no way of activating. Using latest installers. Feedback appreciated. regards

A quick shot from one of those places synonymous with the 747-400, Kai Tak! This place epitomizes the heyday of the 747 in my view, and as you can see the ramp is full of them! We've just arrived from Auckland, NZ after 11 hours 30 minutes, the shutdown checks are being run, and it's almost time to sign off for the night. Listening to those CF6's spool down after a long haul is one of the most satisfying moments of the flight.

When FSX SE is fired up I get pop-ups (4) that I have to OK twice before the sim. starts. The pop-up reads; There are multiple objects with the same title name. They must have unique title names. PMDG 747-400 LCF PMDG House Livery Sim Objects\ airplanes\PMDG747-400f This doesn't appear to effect the sim in any way but the pop-up must be clicked eight times before it can proceed. Dan Longano

I have a question about the climb out shown in the video below. Why would they set a climb out speed of 192 knots / flaps 10 speed and hold it to what looks like close to 3000 ft ? I would have thought after 1000 or 1500 ft (not sure if they are flying NADP departure) they would lower the nose a bit and get the speed above flap retraction.

Every time I select the 737 I am asked for the activation code. Is this normal? It is just one more step, but I would think a one-time activation would suffice.

I didn't build this program but I stumbled on it when looking for an easier way to fly the PMDG tutorial flights. Its PDFKneeboard from https://github.com/nmeier/fscode/releases. It allows you to open a PDF file in a popup window within the sim. The description says it is for FSX but it works fine in P3D 3.4 as well. Makes it easy to do those tutorial flights without printing out the files, alt-tabbing between windows or looking at a second screen/PC. Also nice of you export flight plans to PDF.

  17. i've bought the 737ngx + expansion recently, but the activation is giving me hard time, the error is "unable to connect to activation server" and then "you don't have a valid license installed for this product" i'm in a campus and i've thought that the broblem could be that here some internet ports are blocked but the problem, even trying to activate it with an external 4g connection, is the same, i seen that i can not connect to the pmdg site with this pc (chrome give me an ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED ) i realy need the 737 for the flight training that i'm doing, so thanks for your time

  19. Rain effects: Yes, I know, I KNOW, you won't do it. But, I'm just another PMDG customer voicing in my opinion. It completely defeats realism flying into heavy rain and have crystal clear windshields. Sigh...one more reason to be a real pilot... (Also, openable windows would be nice, just saying) Airlines Options: This includes EFBs and customizable electronic checklists. It doesn't even have to be complete, just make a framework and let the user/community fill in the rest. The same thing Captain Sim and Quality Wings does, give a framework and import your own data (i.e. charts, checklist items, etc.). Then there's the whole realistic airline options in the Operatio…
