Captains, Okay- tonight we have some good news! Earlier this afternoon, we completed the update that was required to the core logic of the PMDG Operations Center, thus allowing it to be able to manage your PMDG product installations even if you choose to have both FSX and FSX:SE installed at the same time. Hi, Sorry if I missed that on the forums, but is there a possibility to add an option to synchronize the baro settings of the captain and FO in PDMG products? It can be pretty tedious to set a minimum of thousands of feet on with both EFIS controls one after the other... like in SLLP for instance where the minimums for the ILS 10 is 13340ft. It is much better on the T7, but on the NGX, even using the mousewheel, it is quite boring... As the option already exists for the altimeters... I still wonder why it doesn't for the baro settings. So after upgrading my Mac Pro which I run FSX on via Windows 7 via boot camp, I decided to take a stroll down memory lane with PMDG and some of the great airports I like to fly to. Partly as a system integrity test posy upgrade and partly because I had a few favorite airplanes I hadn't touched in a while since the Trippler came around!! Will the 747v2 have an optional automatism with reference to cross-feeds (for those who still have a life and need to sleep sometimes )?

Has anyone done (or considered it if it hasn't already been done/tried) wet aircraft skins for flying in wet weather? The paintwork would be shinier and gleaming a bit more being wet that it would when it's dry. Don't know if it's technically possible but just had to ask as I've been thinking about it.

Guys, I have a question which I hope someone may be able to answer: During the course of flying the PMDG 737 NGX along flight planned routes I often don't really have much idea as to where I am in relation to towns and cities on or near my route. I noticed this particularly on a recent flight over the Philippines and into Taiwan where I crossed a number of islands on the way. It would have been nice to have had some idea what they were called, and perhaps the names of some of the towns. Is there some software available which would provided an online map which I could refer to during the flight? I look forward to hearing from you soon. Regards, Dennis H…

Hey, I was looking at getting the 777 and Freighter expansion once they're working with FSX:SE. However I read somewhere (either Steam forums) that you only allow your customers to download the installer once and if that is then lost they have to pay full price again. Can you confirm or deny this as I really want to get the 777 but if I can't download my purchases again then I'll have to give it a miss.

Searched through various forums for the answer to this but getting bogged down with side tracking answers. With the PMDG 777 intelligent autocruise function I would like to try out more long distance flights, this seems better and safer now (instead of the past default of changing the simulation rate). It made me however look into the saving options and files within FSX and PMDG. It was here that I became confused. It is all the file (types/ suffixes) which are added to your chosen file name. They go on and on -- flt fmc sav wx rt rt2 pln and even (fsx root path).exe files. On top of that, they seem to get saved twice, once in the PanelState and in the case o…

I know I could have posted such a topic on Pete's forum but I think the community is more alive here.So, What are the fundamental differences between the free (unregistered) version of FSUIPC vs the full (registered) version?If I am perfectly capable to fly using a free version, what's in it for me to buy a fully licenced product?I hope some of you can answer this quesiton and provide insight as to what the full version offers to the simmers that they can't get using the free version.

FSX will not load and the message I get in the event viewer is "A request to disable the Desktop Manager was made by process (Flight Simulator x v10.0.6137.0)". Any ideas to cure of help would be greatly appreciated. I am running Win 7 with 64. RSC

Has anyone had any experience using ILS Inspector/Editor v6.12? http://www.aero.sors.fr/navaids.html The program is by the same author of the MagVar data and appears to be a very useful program. It is supposed to fix up all the outdated ILS and runway data in FSX. It also claims to have the ability to align ILS and runway data with an AIRAC cycle so the AIRAC and FSX data are in sync. I was trying to find some instructions or documentation on the program, however I can't seem to find much info. If this can align data from an AIRAC cycle with FSX then I am assuming that it will also fix the incorrect runway numbers that occur in FSX due to the magnetic north shifting …

Justa quick one....im using PFPX for this and for some reason the Eastbound NATS is greyed out but all other tracks are there. I have a subscription and AIRAC 1413. If someone has any ideas give me a shout many thanks :(

Is there a way to find out what the active runway is the runway at airport that is current use for rakeoff and land in US.at the moment LAX use 25L 25R 24L 24R are Active.Dilip

Any help &/or ideas much appreciated. I uninstalled Rex Soft Clouds using their uninstall . What went wrong is unknown but the result was loss of shortcut icons to majority of add on aircraft and scenery as well as the FSX icon. I have regained FSX using the disc to do a repair and have the basic sim working. From the sim I can see only the FSX base aircraft are listed. I want now to remove each add on and reinstall starting with the PMDG 737NG. Firstly because it is the most flown and secondly it was installed from disc. I read that it is unwise to manually uninstall ( It is still shown in the Windows Uninstall list ). Could someone advise on the best way of …

I am curious about comparing these three AC in regards to VAS and basic computer performance. I have the J4100 but not the others. With a recent (maybe temporary) return to FSX I felt I had my performance (mainly VAS) tuned pretty good until I installed the J4100 and FSCrew. Of course all of the over the top goodies where there too. So last night with the real time opus bad weather, Orbx Alaska, Rex - and newly purchased FSCrew I was met with the ding ding from FSUIPC before even moving the AC. For as long as I can remember, a PMDG high-end study-sim version of the 757 has been a wish of many. I know the question has come up more than once and to my knowledge it has always been declined by PMDG. To my understanding the primairy reason for this has always been PMDG not wanting to interfere with Level-D who at one time, many many moons ago, announced to be developing one. Although to my knowledge Level-D never stated the project to be dead, I have little (none) faith their rendition of the 757 will ever see the public light of day. Captains, Since returning to work on 05JAN15, my priority has been to get you updated installers for those who wish to use our products with the FSX:SE edition that Dovetail Games dropped in the middle of the Christmas holiday season. I have just noticed that the ILS feathers for some airport runways in FSX don't line up. As a result the ILS approach is to the side and not the centre of the runway. Is there a fix for this?Thanks in advance.

I am just curious....the display "back" color of the Auto pilot gauges/display panel is grey on my PMDG planes although photos indicate that the back color is blue. Is that a simple setting in the Aircraft settings that I have missed?

Hey folks, I am really debating on this one, I love the 777 200LR, but the 300ER just seems more heavy, which I like a lot. I have no time to do long flights at all since I am flying real life too. usually very short flight with the aerologic livery and routes.is it really that fun to fly it? cheers.

hi guys Was just pondering....will PMDG run out of a/c to make in the not too distant future? Yes I know...development time and all that...but PMDG is a business and, whilst you invest heavily in R&D, you need to keep products rolling out the door for cashflow purposes (which is literally the lifeblood of the company) or you go the way of the dodo. Okay...so PMDG release the 777 this year (yay!)...and say the 747v2 in Mar 13 (say)....then say the Dash8...and the B787....then what? I'm not sure PMDG is into concept aircraft and I know there's lots of a/c out there..but its the old Pareto principle...ie. the 80/20 rule being 80% of flights are done by 20% of a/c…
