  5. Hi everyone I am 47 and I am like a big kid, I did a short hop from Casablanca up to Malaga, it was a late night flight and coming into Malaga was just unbelievable, the night lighting in X-Plane is just fantastic, it truly is, coming in over the busy roads/ m'ways was just awesome. I came over from fsx about 2 months ago now and I am very very impressed with this sim, very fluid which helps with the immersion factor on my 32" Sony monitor, I am buzzin writing this. Just thought I'd share my enthusiasm with you all. Can't wait for my next night flight. Regards Paul EGCC

I currently have an old yoke (Saitek Classic) which is a bit limited, e.g. It only has one throttle, and 4 assignable buttons. I'm looking for a new yoke and rudder set that will work with Mac OS X. Does anyone have any recommendations? I'm looking mainly for the following: - Not too expensive - Separate throttles. - Trim wheel - Works in Mac OS X and of course X-Plane :-)

I cannot explain why, on my system, the 32 bit version runs so much better. When I say better, I mean no stuttering, greater FPS, better AA. This is true with HDR on and off. I cannot explain it. Latest Nvidia drivers, Win7 64 bit, 760 graphics card w 4gig. I have no association with the Inspector on either of the 2 exe files. I have tried injecting NI, but to no avail. Any ideas? Regards Bob

I am new to X Plane and have purchased the 777 as my first add on. I am sure its something to do with joystick calibration but the aircraft skews right or left straight away when full power is applied at take off. Its then difficult to control down the runway. Any quick suggestions

  15. Hi, I'm new to the forum, but not new to x-plane, nor flight simulation. I was thinking of purchasing the B777 worldliner pro but i wanted the opinion of others also. Are there other payware aircraft more "worthy" of the money you spend on them? I've seen in the description that "it is the most advanced aircraft for x plane", but it's not always true when they say it. I've also seen that pmdg has released its 777 also, but when i saw a friend of mine flying it, the wingflex WAS HUUUUUGE,anyway i'm not a mfsx fan either, i switched from fsx to x-plane.But if the pmdg is better maybe i'll purchase that. But i want something for x-plane Do you know if it is …

  17. Anyone using these two plugins together? Recently I updated my PE client and now it's causing XP to CTD upon load. I am just now running XSB for the first time and I successfully connected and did a flight on vatsim. Pilot Edge says there's a conflict with some file called Xsquawkbox_VATSIM.xpl But I don't see this file anywhere.... apparently XSB and PE plugins share this common file....??

Hey all, I played the sim a lot about a year ago and posted here regularly, however since then I have moved home and completely lost my disks. I wanted to install the sim on a new PC but looks like I'll have to repurchase. I can't actually remember what the process was when I first played, is it possible my key will be attached to an email address and I could contact the devs with proof of purchase and maybe rebuy the disks and key at a discounted rate? If not I guess I'll just have to rebuy!

Hi everyone. Im new to the forum and to X Plane so please forgive me if this has been covered before. When on a flight from Manchester to Glasgow, the ATC was fine throughout until about 20 miles from the approach. The ATC would give me various headings and altitudes to fly on which i would adhere to and as soon as it lined me up for the final approach and it asked me to call the field (which i did), it would then give me another heading and fly another series of headings etc. This went on for about 30 minutes. Does anyone know if i'm doing something seriously wrong or is the ATC just having a funny 5 (30) minutes? Thanks in advance. Steve

I did some further experiments with the cloud and their colors. In the following screenshots, the clouds have been subjected to the following tweaks: 1) increased cloud textures resolution; 2) increased cloud puffs plot radius: this produces denser clouds even at low cloud rendering settings; also, clouds are softer and a performance is a bit better; 3) closest circle of cloud puffs not drawn: this increases a bit performance and eliminates the ugly visual boundary between the two closest cloud puffs circles (a sort of a "cloud rings" effect, visible with default clouds in overcast conditions) 4) modified cloud colors: more vivid sunset glow and post-twili…
