Hi all, I've got a spare laptop sitting here. Is there anyway to get the xplane map to show on the laptop instead of having to load it on myain PC monitor? Or is there any good software that can do this? Can anyone point me in the right direction.

I thought to give x-plane 10 a shot, but I'm having some problems getting my controls to work. Actually, I don´t like writing about stuff like that at all, but it just has to be done to let off a little steam: So, I bought the XXX B748 at one of the two big stores where you can get commercial add ons for X-Plane. I already bought several add ons there (a 757, a 777...) I bought it because I am a huge 747 fan and the reviews I read about this software were all good or very good. Been away playing with P3D v2.2 enjoying the cloud shadows, but I haven't forgotten the upcoming 10.30. With LM's recent successful release, LR will have their work cut out BUT I am looking forward to flying airliners again in XP with the promised visibility improvements, and hopefully some work on clouds/weather too!

I flew a lot in fsx but now I am switched and up and running within x-plane , I search for a small group of people I can fly with. There is no LAN connection as in fsx so my question is: where do you fly together? I would like to fly with smaller airplanes like an-2 or flyet c172 the latest one. So vatsim and ivao are not my first likes because you need the atc and for my simple flying It is not necessary. Any ideas are welcome. Here is a short script that changes the LOD (of the 3D) dynamically depending on aircraft altitude. This helps with FPS on the ground and enhances the experience for higher altitude. I didn't write the lua script - I just cut it down to my needs. Hi all, in Windows 7, in a scenario I have saved, my FPS were pegged at 30FPS, and cpu load was 0.997. In EXACTLY the same scenario with windows 8.1 and EXACTLY the same x-plane settings, the FPS are 19 and CPU load is only 0.79? What's up with this? Is 8.1 slower than 7? Ian
