hi all, any ideas , i program in a flight in microsoft 2002 go though it all but when i get to the last bit to print off the nav log as soon as i hit the print button the screen goes to the desk top, it was ok last week when i last did a IFR flight and except for putting in a new cockpit for a 767 ,which i have done before , nothing has changed as far as i can see,i have done two system restores but its still the same, the printer is working ok, printing from the net,its always been ok before ,thanks and regards:(

Hi,since some weeks I hear a creeking breaking sound when my CPU and harddrive works heavy. When I fly FS9 and huge texture needs to be loaded, I hear my soundcard having problems....See my signe what hardware I have... Hopefully you can help me and tell me what to do about that?I already have the latest soundcard driver and the latest NVIDIA GraCa Driver and as well nvidia chip-set driver...But I use a raid controller PCI Card that ever and allways produced some interferences, noticeable as stripes when I watch TV with my Pinnacle pro TV card.

I might be upgrading to one of the new socket 939 when they are available and to a 2.4 GHz Athlon 64 FX. Will get get a good improvement in performance in FS2004 upgrading to an Athlon FX 64 from a P4 3 GHz?

I use to monthly defragmentate the harddisk, to ensure an optimal state of running of FS 2004 and other programs.During the 2 last defragmentations, this tool refuses to go any further than 86% and then blocks the running defragmentation, so that I have to reboot the computer.It then regains its normal actions as if nothing wrong had happened.Has anyone among the computer-technicians an idea what could be the cause of this strange phenomena?Thanks in advance for a solution!Paddy.

it seems fs2004 is controlling the AA in the sim because the AA settings are greyed out in the video settings in the card. should i let fs2004 handle it or should i try setting the AA in the card and uncheck AA in the sim? thanks, william

Has anyone has taken the plunge and tried to "extend" the functions of their CH USB Yoke by adding new buttons/levers/switches?It seems that it would be possible to access the built-in USB interface of the yoke and that this interface likely has room for additional input devices. just wondering how many if anyone, is running FS2004 at 800x600? if i run at 1024 i have to back off on the sliders and cloud quaility and online flying can still be jerky at times but at 800x600 with AA turned on and sliders almost maxed out, which is default settings, everything runs fine, even downloaded weather is smooth. i meant real world weather above instead of online flying. the prob with 800x600 is the screen shrinks a bit. like it's not quite full screen, the vertical edges along the sides are blackened out about half an inch. other than that it's ok. haven't decided which way i want to go with this yet but am open to suggestions. i'll be thinking about this al…

Hopefully this is not too much OT, but my daughter's computer is running very slow....I've done some basic checks....plenty of disk space, deleted temporary internet files.....I wanted to run scandisk and defrag the HD, but every time I try to do this the computer constantly restarts the scan or defrag......after 10 times it says a program is trying to access windows, shut everything down, but I've already shut everything down I'm aware of.......On the bottom right taskbar I closed the misc programs there, such as virus program......what can I do to get the scan and defrag functions to stop constantly restarting and complete their work?I wasn't quite sure where to go for …

Does anyone know if you can run and programme the FMC via a seperate CRT or LCD touch screen in FS9? I fly the PMDG 737NG and would think it would be amazing to have the FMC 'by my side' rather than up front on main monitor. And by having a touch screen you could 'press' the buttons with your finger!Does anyone have any experience of getting this to work?I've searched the web and avsim forums and have found little info.I guess the touch screen would only need to be about 7" by 4" (18cm x 10cm) so I was wondering whether any screens were available this size and at what cost?If anyone has any info or websites then I'd appreciate hearing from you.Thanks very much,Phil.FlashF…
