I have just installed FS Terrain and UK 2000 excellent scenery Chanel Islands in FS2002 on my new 3400 AMD c/w Geforce 5950 FX video card. The FPS are fantastic well over 60 FPS +, the image quality is superb.Howver, when I fly from EGJJ to EGJB I notice that on arrival at the other Airport ie EGJB, the aircraft have sunk into the ground. It looks as if they have no landing gear ! Yet if I start at that same airport(where the landing gear has disappeard), the Aircraft are fine with the landing gear visible.Has anyone any idea's?Best Wishes,Chris

Can anyone offer any help with this problem: Approximately 30 seconds after inserting a DVD my comp crashes and then reboots (Windows XP). I am familiar with 'servo pots' (I think that is what they are called) used in joysticks. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on upgrading these items? I was thinking that maybe I could get a 'higer resolution' thus finer control by changing them out.Thoughts?

I recently had to have Windows XP reinstalled on my computer as my system was contaminated with over 25 different viruses. After the reinstall of Windows, I had to reinstall FS9 and all of the goodies that go with it.Also installed a good antivirus program.I am now experiencing some very low framerates as a result. I just purchased MSFS 2004 a couple of weeks ago and am happy with the improvements over 2002, but am not enjoying it much because my current computer isn't fast enough. So, I am looking to buy a computer to fill my needs. My goal is to max out all the sliders and still have a decent frame rate of at least 20. Is that possible, or is it wishfull thinking? I am open to all ideas and makes of computers. Obviously, I would like to spend as little as possible. With these things in mind, what computer should I buy and what can I expect.Your help is greatly appreciated.Costas

I know this has been covered before, but most of the other posts I found were either extremely old or extremely general requests.I've had it with my X45. Will be reformatting my current main drive a Maxtor 40GB and reinstalling Windows XP Home. Would like to switch over to the newer and faster NTFS from the FAT32 I have been using for years. The question is will the apppoximatly 12GB of backup flight simulation and other files work when transfered off my current backup drive which is a Maxtor 30GB FAT32 slave setup? I have an Asus A7N8X motherboard, Athlon XP2700, ATI 9800 Pro , 1 GB(2x512) generic PC2700 ram, and presently have it overclocked at 11x210 @2310 mhz. When in By Spd, this setting makes the ram run at 175 mhz and sets very relaxed timings of Cas 3 from Cas 2.5. The middle numbers are in the 3-4 range. If I manually try to set the ram to run at lower timings my pc wont boot. I was wondering if I upgraded to a quality brand name PC3200 Cas 2 2-2-2 1T ram would it make much difference in FS9? I know I would probably be able to get a higher FSB, and be able to run the ram at a 1:1 ratio, resulting in a higher clock speed, but would I see any noticable improvement in FS9? It w…

Hi,I desperately need help!I upgraded mu cpu from Pentium IV 2 GHz to 3.2 GHz. Thus I had to change motherboard (now a P4P800-E) and RAM (now 1 Gb). I have a SB Live sound card, an ATI Radeon 9800 PRO 128 Mb video card, Windows ME and FS2002.A strange problem occurs when I shift to the external views (S key): after a couple of seconds after I press S, the engine sound disappears if I use FS default aircraft, only if I give full thrust I can hear the spooling. There is no way to have it back unless I quit FS.
