Hi, new to the 2 monitor thing, but not new to MSFS :) Ok, I would LOVE to use multiple monitors with MSFS. I have a GForceFX5200 and have set it up for use on my primary monitor, and my FLat screen TV. I can get the desktop to show up on both monitors fine. And i can do things like clone, horizontal and vertical with the desktop in view and all is ok. But when i try to open MSFS 2004, the monitor goes to the main screen, but the TV goes black. Is there a setting for MSFS or something i dont know about? Ive been to a Gforce hardware forum, and they say i can run games on the TV instead of a monitor so i dont think it has to do with the TV.. Hi all,I've looked around on the Internet a little and also searched the forums and found some information on how to best set up my CH Products Pro Pedals USB, but wanted to look for a little more advice.I have tried using fsuipc, CH Control Manager and nothing but the FS interface and still get differential braking when I press back on the toe brakes (not forward, but press backwards on the heel). Are the CH Pro Pedals just very sensitive? I suppose I am looking for pointers and advice in setting these up. I have my MS FF Sidewinder Pro set up the way I like it (from FS2000 through FS2004), but am finding the CH Pro Pedals USB to be more challenging.

I'm considering this card but can't seem to find out if it "fully" supports DX9... not that it's just compatible (as is my old Diamond Viper 770).Thanks,Andrew

A friend of mine has offered me a CH Products yoke and pedals set (FREE). Before I/we go thru the trouble and paying for them to be shipped out here will they work in XP? I don't care about button commands or anything so the software end of it I don't need. I want to attache it to my gameport and use the axis mainly. Also, has anyone had any sucess using a gameport to usb adapter with these?Remember I want only the axis to work and don't care about button commands.ThanksXP Home SP1Asus P4P800-SE Intel 3.0GHZDDR 400 D/C 2x512MBGeForce FX 5700 256MB (56.72)SB AudigyMSFF2 & X45 throttleSee you in the fence...CYYZ

I've been flying FS2004 since it came out. My system started out As an Athlon 2000+ with 512mb DDR266 RAM and a Ti4200 video card. Worked well and with the settings turned low enough it was certainly flyable. But lately I've been craving more performance. First I ordered another 512 MB DDR266 ram (to total 1gb). That helped alot with texture loading and such, but I still couldn't fly with antialiasing on or the detail settings very high. Then I upgraded to an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro. I could now notch the sliders up a touch and could fly with AA on and recieve resonable framerates, but it would still bog down when flying into a large airport with AI traffic and some we…

I have a GeForce 3 TI 200 with a DVI connection. I plugged in the converter and a monitor to it. It doesn't appear on the desktop as a second monitor. Granted the monitor is a 15" paper white (sic-black and white) VGA max res 640x480. Win XP Pro SP1 and nearly latest nvidia drivers. Any ideas on what I might need to do?

Hi Guys, yesterday I received a new system and am disappointed, to say the least. But maybe You can give me some ideas what to try.I ran FS on my "old" machine (Ath 2700XP, 1GB 333 Memory, Radeon 9800pro, NForce2 Board) with acceptable framerates, mostly in the 30's range, some compromises taken - no 3D clouds over addon scenery but maxed (replacement) AI.NOW I have here a Dual Xeon 3GHz with (for whatever reason, I didn't install it) 2 GB DDR-2100 RAM. I plugged in the 9800pro, installed XP pro, FS2K4, copied over my addons...well, the 2700+ performed *much* better. FPS now seldom crawl over 25 and i get LOTS or annyoying blinking "spikes" (short horizontal lines of rando…

Hi Folks:I got a new mobo (SOYO...P4VGM) and it has onboard sound but no game port.I disabled it in the BIOS, and installed a plain sound card WITH a game port. Hooked up the yoke & pedals to it, and installed drivers (from CH). During the install, an error message said that the installation was cancelled. In a state of desperation, tried hooking up the devices to a USB port. XP found "a device" but said that it probably wouldn't work, or might 'upset the applecart', as it were. Still, nothing was found in the GAME PORTS in CONTROL PANEL. I tried choosing a sort of generic yoke in the listing, when I clicked on ADD. Nothing happened.Oddly enough, I had both devices wo…

My daughter called me at my office late this afternoon... she was all in a dither. Seems her computer was locking up after just a few minutes. So on my way home I stopped and picked up her and the computer from her Mom's, and set to work on it once home here. It took me only a few minutes to find the problem. The BIOS was showing 57C at start-up! Since I had built the box for her I knew it very well, and I noticed right away that the CPU heatsink wasn't the stock one I had originally installed. Seems her step-brother had installed a "really cool" round one he had found (cheap). He had installed it backwards, but I had it safely off in just a few minutes. Popped th…

Hello - I'm new here and I have searched and found some answers but I guess I'm looking for simplicity...if possible. I have a three year old Dell 8200 P4 1.7ghz machien with 640MB of RDRAM (not good, right?. My video card is the NVidia Ti200 - image quality with most things is fine but framerates with FS2004 are pretty sluggish - 10-12fps on average at most airports with sliders no more than midway. i do use Ultimate traffic as well. Once in the air, framerates go up to around 16-17. I intend on upgrading the entire computer at some point but my question is, if I buy a 9200 or a 9600 ATI card - will I go into absolute shock at how great the improvment is? Thanks fo…

So many nice stuff has happened since I installed this card. I won't bore you with the details but all I can say is besides awesome performance and visuals in FS, the thing makes my whole rig run better. I do some digital audio with Gigastudio and that even is become perfect since losing my Radeon. This card is recommended by yours truly as an Editor's Choice if I do say so myself :() Noel

Hello I just bought a AMD Athlon 64 3400+ Processor and I am having lock ups in fs2004 .The motherboard that I bought seems to be the issue with onboard sound even though I have disabled it.AT the motherboard tech support they are saying its because maybe the software will not support 64 bit systems. AMD states in their ad for the processor that "The AMD Athlon 64 processor runs on AMD64, a revolutionary technology that allows the processor to run 32-bit applications at full speed while enabling a new generation of powerful 64-bit software " so who is telling the truth here....?

Hi Guys, I received my Chieftec case and the casefans today. Now my question is: in order to get a good airflow, where do I put the fans in what direction (blowing in or out).My case has the following amount of fans: -two fans in the lower front-two fans in the upper back-two fans in the middel of the side panel under eachotherI know that much that thw two fans in the lower front of the case have to blow IN cold air and thw two fans in the upper back have to blow OUT the hot air out of the case, but what do I do with the other two fan

Just upgraded old MB of AMD 1600XP to:AMD 2800XPECS KT650A MB and Windows XPLoad the software, system crashes, stating 'Page Fault Errors', 'Not equal or less' and other mess. I figure new CPU, new RAM (512 of 2700) new OS, reformatted HD and new MB, that it must be the MB. The seller told me it could be a CPU problem, reset the MB down lower and put the old 1600 CPU on the new MB to see if it will boot and load. Does this seem crazy? When you turn the PC on with the new MB and new CPU, it reads it on BIOS and all correctly as "AMD 2800XP". But, he says this still may not be the MB. What do you think?Eric TSt Augustine, FL
