hey everyone: could any one tell me what is the difference between pc2100 and pc400? can they works together? does pc400 need special slot for the memory that different from pc2100 uses? thanks

I have tried to use the souped up video card drivers for Nvidia cards from people like Omega, and others. It gives a great boost in framerates with FS9. The problem however is the driver seems to lock the sim at a resolution of 800x600. And will not let me adj any of the graphics in the sim itself. If i do, it just reverts back to the way it was when i go back to flying. Anybody else have this problem ? And if so, how do you fix it ?????

Hi,I need some help.I chanced my graphiccard driver nvidia to the latest of www.guru3d.comNow my FS9 doesnt load any more. I see the start screen and than it drops back to desktop. No error message, nothin!I even erased the program entry within my registry and reinstalled FS9, after I renamed the old directory to .../fs9-old.So, did this happen to anyone here already? Can someone tell me how to get FS9 back to work?

I have tried the glasses and they do work with FS 2004 but sadly there is no profile for it and they can be a bit hard to configure so I wonder if anyone here have a good working setup for the nVidia stereo3d drivers to spare :)

Just curious if anyone else builds them as a part time job or anything similar. :)

I've recently upgraded to an ATI 9800 Pro 128 and now my commercial aircraft textures disappear or don't appear at all. It seems to be a random problem. I currently have 512MB DDR PC2700 in my system. I just realized that I have an extra stick of 512MB DDR PC2100 lying around, and am considering installing it (getting mildly jerky performance in FS2004 running a P4 2.4GHz) to have 1GB total, running at PC2100.So, the question is, is 1GB of RAM running at 2100 better than 512MB running at 2700?Thanks,Ken

Hi Folks,since a local dealer has a jubilee and gives big price reductions on selected parts (unfortunately NOT the new AMD-64's), I wonder if I should upgrade from an Athlon 2700+ (333) to a 3200+ (400). I already have 1 Gig of DDR400-RAM and a BIG cooler, so I'd just have to plug in the CPU and raise the FSB. Graphics is a 9800pro.I currently have FPS maxed to 30, but frames often drop into the low 20's, on complex airports lower (~15).Would the new processor give a noticeable raise in FPS or will it be just 1-2 ??? On Monday, the 30th of August, UPS will deliver my ATI RADEON X800 Pro 256MG DDR AGP Graphics Card (Best Buy for $399.00). I am selling my ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128 card. I have a Dell 2.8 gig Pentium 4 with 1024MG Ram. Tell me, will FS9config. recognize the card or will I have to change the name in the config manually? Secondly, do you think I will see a change in smoothness, fluidity, and will I see faster fuselage and scenery re-draw times?I hope I hear from some of you by Monday. Have CH Products Virtual Pilot Pro and Pedals - analog/gameport version. I had to reload XP due to disk crash. XP works ok and FS9 loads and runs ok but I cannot get the yoke/pedals drivers to load. Of course, they used to work fine.I downloaded the latest (chanlg08-1) analog driver package from the CH Products site. It is a setup.exe with three non-standard CAB files. Running setup proceeds normally except after clicking thru the usual acceptance stuff it stops with a message saying that the driver install has been canceled. I have done the usual reboot and re-downloads. I also cleared all CH Products entries in the registry (Register First Aid).Does anyone have any hint…

For some time I've been experiencing a strange frame drop after some (variable) time the FPS drop from the usual lock 20 to 8-4. The strange thing is that if I change any hardware option in the settings the frame goes again to the usual value. Tried all software changes, WQL drivers, latest drivers, clean Windows with and without SP2, taking the case covers etc. I start to think about hardware problem.However before starting the new board hunting I wonder if someone has any idea?ThanksJos

Remember all our discussions in 2003 about FSAA, Quincunx, aniso settings, etc.?Well, I am fiddling once again and I want to ask: what IS Quincunx and why is it so great? What does it really do? I am not sure I see it does anything much when I raise my FSAA from 2x to 2xQ.Also, not much diff between FSAA 2x and 4x with my Ti4600 card but frames go down another 30% if I raise the setting. what use is that?Appreciate any posts on this, thanks!JS

HELP!I am new to VATSIM and all the software that goes with it (Squawkbox e.t.c) it took me about a day an a half to read through everything and install all of the components carefully. When my dad was using Excel for a spreadsheet the pc just rebooted itself. From then on it just got worse! After the (automatic!) reboot it is now displaying a CPU WARNING message. It is saying that the CPU has been changed. I cannot remember having to change anything with the CPU ? We have tried changing the motherboard, graphics card, processer however we have not been able to overcome this MAJOR PROBLEM ? Regards to anyone who posts a reply. Cheers.

I've had three SONY or DELL TRINITRONs and loved 'em all. But my 21" TRINI is showing signs of fatigue, has a small mesh rip, and I think I'd like to replace it. I'd like a monitor with deep color saturation capabilities; this TRINI lacked that although it has great flesh tones.Can anybody recommend a really good monitor with great color saturation of 21" or 22" that doesn't cost the moon?Thanks!JS
