Hey guys, this is an odd one, as up until yesterday I have never experienced a BSOD. After a relatively short flight in Orbx's UK, I got a BSOD shortly after landing Aerosoft's Katana. The strange thing is, for a few minuites prior to the landing, the airspeed seemed not to move, I lost the GPS and radio displays. On approach to landing the plane would not slow up either... all very odd. Then, as I say, I got the BSOD. I ran the little prog BluescreenView and unless I am mistaken, it seemed to point to ntoskrnl.exe as the culprit. Has anyone any idea what the cause could be and how to correct it for the future? Hello. I've got an AMD FX-6300 6 cores at 4.1 GHz ( Unlocked multplier ), I wanted to bring it up to 4.5 GHz ( or more ) If I could. It is a black edition CPU. My multiplier is setted at 20.5 and FSB to 200, so 200 x 20.5 = 4100. If I bring up the multipler to 21 ( 21 x 200 = 4200 ) LinX shows me an error. However, If I put FSB 205 ( 205 x 20.5 = 4200 ) No problem at all but the temperature is growing so quickly. Normal speed CPU is 3.5 GHz - Overclocked to 4.1 GHz and wanting to overlock it up to 4.5 GHz. Temperatures - 3.5 GHz multiplier standard - 30 degress - 4.1 GHz multiplier 20.5 - 40 degress - 4.2 GHz multiplier 21 ( even with error 42 d…

I am in the planning process to build a new system. I am currently using e8500 with 4gb ddr2 400 ram so I know anything will be a huge improvement but here is what I am thinking. Asrock z77 extreme6 motherboard 3570k. Plan to OC to 4.4-4.6 8gb DDR3 1866 cas 9 Crucial m4 64gb ssd for OS (windows 7 64bit) Crucial m4 128 gb ssd for fsx and add ons only WD 1tb black hdd for other stuff Thermaltake smart series 750m PS Rosewill Thor v2 case Enermax ets t40 CPU cooler GTX 660ti or GTX 670... Haven't decided for sure. So what do you think? Plan to have several add ons such as GEX,UTX,GSX,AS2012, PMDG aircraft and others. Any input would be greatly appreciated…

Hi everyone, I'm a bit frustrated. I have an Asrock 877 Mb with an i7 3770K. I wanted to use the auto tune utility from Asus, but can't seem to find it. These CPU's used to cost a $1000, but now here in the Netherlands plenty of shops sell them for only 250 euros ($300). This is absolutely rediculous, I never expected this. Hi Paul if i try get to my cfg file, i keep gettng "access denied" c/users/paul/appdata - gives me denied c/docs and settings/ - access denied i noticed there is padlocks on the folder icons, can you help? Also, on the page file section, - i have 2 drives - C - my o/s and "F" my fsx so im guessing the 3072 goes in the drive "c" still? i didnt want to go any further till i saught help thanks

Just asking if this is ok, 3570k @4.7 with voltage maually set to 1.3 (1.26+- in cpu-z) core temp shows a VID of 1.165 Enabled all C states and EIST. Disable VT, Spread Sprectum, EPU power saving profile. Set phase to optimal, and pick t.probe. Set ram to XMP. llc set to medium - increases give me higher temps Temps peak @75 but mainly staying around 66/67 Not lapped or de-lidded as yet, with just a hyper 212 evo fsx runs about 60/62 4.8 gives me a 5deg increase but with llc set to auto, i aint tried it with llc at medium yet @4.8 so going by the above, my guess is i have a reasonably good chip ?? Hello all, I've been trying to move my FSX sound from my headset to speakers. I also have tried messing with the Realtek HD Audio and it just busting my brain. I don't have a sound card, but I don't if I should get one to solve this issue, or that it is the only thing that solve it. Also, the motherboard that I am using is a ASUS P8Z77-V. Its time to upgrade from my old DDR2 system. I have researched as much as my none techy mind can stand. I'm looking at the following: i7 3770k (with cooler) 16 gb ram msi MPower mob 120 gb ssd Nvidia GTX 670 4GB. Perficularly for flight siming I want to get the full benefit of hvy add on's, good frame rate, no stuttering and no fluttering, fsx sliders to the right, with room to spare. I like plenty of clouds and terrain and enjoy details down to the rivets on acft skin. Can I get it?? If you can give me any guidence it would be most apprciated. (I want to buy for the future). tab

I'm going through Software & Hardware Guide for FSX (Version 1.0.1 Date of Issue: January 22, 2013) and have found this: The previous recommendation used to be just 3072 (MB) on C:\ drive. Now it's 100 (MB) on C: and 3072 on non-OS / non-FSX drive. What is the reason for this? I'm setting up my new systems with the following drives: - Corsair Force GT (250Gb) SSD for Windows 7x64 - OCZ-VERTEX4 (500Gb) SSD for FSX - WD Velociraptor (600Gb) for other games - WD Caviar Black (1500Gb) for backups and misc Where should I put the page file to in respect to the above? Hi All, I decided to see what I could squeeze out of my i3570K & Asus P8-Z77V Pro. I have so far got it to a stable 4.7GHz using a 47 multiplier & offset voltage of + 0.100 I flew the PMDG 737 NGX on a 5 hour flight and took the picture below of my temps using core temp. The max was 79 degrees celsius. My question is am I OK running at these temperatures. I would like to ideally get to 4.8GHz but I don't want to fry my chip. Any help would be greatly appreciated Richard

Hey folks, Got my pc built last night and booted first time, which im chuffed about, but i have a few questions. In the bios my 2nd ssd is registered, but i cant see it in "my computer so i can rename it to "F" (for when fsx is ready to be installed. Got myself a HP Pavilion DV7-3079WM about two years ago. Been a beast from day one and a very-surprisingly strong performer for games - I actually do pretty well with FSX if I am careful with what addons I fly with. Some heavy-hitting planes along with any addon airport scenery is typically too much for my medium-high settings, but using a reasonable aircraft out of a default airport with environmental/ground scenery upgrades, I easily get 20-25 average frame rates.
