I have been using Ultimate Defrag. At first it seemed to work as advertized but over time my hard drive has become more and more fragmented until it has reached 64%. I have tried every option the program offers and have even tried using the default Windows defrag. In each case, it either aborts the defrag or says it has been completed but then shows the same 64% and a sea of red rectangles on the graphic display showing fragmented files. My texture loading times in FS are starting to show a significant decline in performance. I have tried contacting their support staff but have had no replies after numerous attempts. Yes I bought one, nice and cheap. Last CPU was a 1090T at 4.1 Gig NB at 2800, hew CPU, is a bit of a enigma. Took time, have it at 4.4 Gig stable, but NB is a butt on these, currently at 2300. They have a lower TDP but when overcloking it can get high. Be nice if AMD do a rework on these they can improve. As fos FSX, at YSSY my test airport, frame rates are higher and much smoother even n my turboprop at speed

Morning, I'm thinking of building a new rig with the I3770K cpu but I'm not too sure about the mobo I should purchased..I don't want to spend a lot..with a new house and new baby I can't really go all out in regards to the mobo.

Hi guys, I'm revisiting an idea that I was interested in some time ago, but gave up. I would like to run a second keyboard so I can use it as an overhead panel for stuff like wipers, lights, etc for the NGX. I have had zero success at the moment, but understand that I can utilise a second keyboard by running HID macros? I have downloaded the app, but thought I'd try running it by soem of you guys before I go ahead. I have the licenced version of FSUIPC. BTW, is this the only way of running a second keyboard, or is there a very easy alternative that I can use. Is it easy enough to run HID macros? Cheers fellas...

When I go to BiOS and push the 'OC' button to overclock the computer just goes black immediately and turns off. Is this a power supply issue probably? If so is there a particular power supply voltage that will take me to 4+GhZ? I don't know if anyone can explain why there is no multiplier setting to easily OC to say 4.2 and stepwise up? Lastly I plan on buying a GT 660Ti card is this overkill? Thanks so much

Hi fellow simmers I have the i5 2500k over clocked at 4.7 on air. I am thinking of buying the i7 3770k and overclocking to similar level. Can you please let me know will I see a large improvement inframes. So I recently installed a nice new Samsung 840 SSD. I have it set up as first boot in BIOS as it is much faster of course, and I also have FSX Acceleration on this drive as well. On a budget I only have 120 gig to work with so I wish to keep ONLY FSX on the SSD. So. I have a couple of issues running my programs from the HDD. The programs I want to run are FS Panels, Radar Contact, Active Sky and FS Build. Here is my problem. I installed FSX and all my third party add ons and the above programs using NickNs guides which as most know are a very good way to set up a stable platform for FSX etc. All is well. Anyone care to share how their overall laptop FSX experience goes? What do you use for controller on the go? Do visuals greatly suffer? I figure go with a lower res 15in screen(not 1080p or 900p), full keyboard, nVidia gpu and near fastest cpu option. This should fair pretty well with all but the super heavy addons and settings I'd think.

Finally I have my new hardware system for flying the PMDG 737 ngx with good frame rates. I am very pleased with it but today, a week after installing everything, I suddenly (after 2 hour flight) get a 'run out of memory error' and fsx was shutting down. On the G15 keybord monitor it tells me that I only use 30% RAM. On the same moment of the chrash the CPU was 50% active. I also have a few moments last week, that when I am (FSX-PMDG747ngx-REX wheater-FSC9) running my flight it stops and a pop-up tells my FSX does not respond. Just reporting results because I know how sensitive the Intel / AMD / ATI / Nvidia owners all are because we all put money into our rigs and don't need to hear which is better.
