FS2CREW: PMDG MD-11

Bit of a problem with the MD-11 now.I was running Vista 64 and FSX, MD-11 FS2Crew worked fine. When the MD-11 loaded I could select the FS2Crew from the menu in FSX.Then I went and built a new machine, using Win7 64 Bit, reloaded FSX and all my payware, now FS2Crew won't work for MD-11. For the default 172 its fine, haven't loaded the ATR72 yet, but I have tried re-installing the MD-11 4 times, using various comapatibility modes and it seems to install OK, but I can't start the program using the start center. It doesn't even show up in the drop down menu within FSX.Any ideas?(or you could just release the Maddog or coolsky version and I will forget about this problem f…

helloi have a legit copies of both PMDG MD11 and fs2crewthe plane works ok without fs2crew, but when i select the fs2crew panel states for the tutorial, the primary displays are much darker than in normal panel states. this doesnt change during the tutorial flow.what is it? Jonathan.

Another Q.? Since I made my purchase for the FS9 versions of "Gold Edition" and the "MD-11" on this date, are the downloads fully updated to the latest version or do I still have to update after my initial installation of FS2Crew? if so, which updates do I need?Regards,Tom

Hello, I just purchased the "Gold Edition" for FS9 as well as the "PMDG MD-11" versions and I can't wait to jump in and try this, from all accounts, a magnificent addon. Just a few quick Q's.? I understand the installation procedure will change the panel.cfg file for the aircraft affected. Is there also a backup of the original configuration file performed if for some insane reason I might want to revert back to the old panel without the FS2Crew config? Even so, with the updated panel.cfg do I have a choice as to whether I want to use FS2Crew or not with that particular aircraft? Maybe I might want to fly solo that day and not fiddle with the FS2Crew program or do I have…

Hi all. This is a beautifull add on. I have the following problem. The 2d panel screens(du's) are black. When i click on it the bigger screen appears ,which looks normal. In the beginning i thought it was designed this way. Then during a flight using the 3d panel and switching to 2d the screens were working?? After some time the screens in the 2d panel were frozen en when selected to the bigger screen it was working. Also noticed at 2d ,when the screens were working, the images for selecting pedestal, mcdu etc. Just now i have black screens again and when i want to select the mcdu f.e. i have to move the mouse until a box appears with the text.I am using a legal software …

Hi all, I've had FS2Crew for the MD-11 a while now, I enjoy the extra structure it provides to a flight, however I've encountered some issues which occur quite frequently. 1. Sometimes the FO will miss part of his flow, i.e. IRS not aligned at all, but it varies. 2. Pushback sometimes fails. 3. On the after start process, the FO never sets the correct pitch trim which was preset in the FMC. Kind Regards, Anthony.

Once i have started the tutorial , i have followed every step! Upon getting the FMS setup , i have just a black screen. I turn all my lights on... Nothing , i have my engines running for power, nothing. every thing is on , but nothing. Can some one help me...This is not my picture, but in the exact same problem, Black screens.Some one help ASAP! Jagard

After completing a flight plan in the FMC I inadvertently swept my hand across the left-hand end of my keyboard. I witnessed the flight plan swivel clockwise through 18 degrees on the HSI which had the effect of causing my runway takeoff heading to end up at 330 degrees instead of 312.I noticed that flight plans prepared for the 747 were affected in exactly the same way.I removed and reinstalled both the MD-11 and the 747 but the disorientation remains.None of my other aircraft addons are affected.Clearly some key or keys have the effect of changing the orientation but I have no idea which.Has anybody had a similar experience and do they know how to correct it?Colin

Hi I just cant stop flying the MD11 with FS2CREW , the two combined are fantastic , i also use the Wilco Airbus and FS2CREW and like the circuit feature so i wondered if it would be possible to add this to the MD11 please ? Thanks Rich

When flying in autopilot, on arrival at T/D point I descend to the selected approach height, speed is reduced at the appropriate time to that set in the FMC and after flap settings, lands perfectly.However, sometimes I want to descend to approach height before T/D but am unsure how to do it.With the 747-400X you can use the FLCH button but I am unaware of any similar function in the MD-11. I am able to bring it down to approach level by setting the V/S wheel to (say) -1500 or so but the airspeed does not reduce from the cruise speed which ,of course, makes autopilot landing impossible.Can anyone help me with this?

Recently purchased and installed the FS2Crew for PMDG MD-11, had no problem with the installation, however, when I run the program all tasks are conducted silently. There are no voice sounds at all. The sound files are where they should be and I can double click them and hear them just fine. Also noticed when I bring up the FS2Crew start center all three voice sets are grayed out, as if not selectable. Any help would be appreciatedregardsBob D.

hi was wondering what does qfe is on the barostat knob mean one side i know is qnh and the other side is qfe since when passing through transition u suppose to set the knob to standard in the 747 it comes up as shown as standard but in the md 11 on mine it doesnt show up it only reverts to 1013 or is this std pressure as i couldnt find any rerfence inthe manaul bout what qfe is

I am trying to use manually input Flight Plans but with only partial success.Firstly I am unable to determine what are Airways and what are Waypoints whenusing plans produced for my PMDG 747-400X so I enter them as waypoints which works for someflights but for others it seems to add other waypoints and often repeats entered ones at leasttwice in the plan. Often it is impossible to get rid of the Discontinuance between the last waypoint/STAR and arrival airport.A typical example is Los Angeles (KLAX)-RWY 24R to San Diego (KSAN) RWY ILS 09using this route - SLI5 - CLI - ALBAS - MZBSID/STAR - SLI5/BARET4.09 TRANS EEDWhat am I doing wrong? Hi all,ince a couple of weeks I am getting sound cracks when using ASa and the MD-11 together.ASA with other ( addon ) aircraft gives no issues.The MD-11 without ASA also gives no issues.But together those cracks appear.And with every crack I can see a jitter on screen.Frameates are 20+.I also posted this at the HiFi forum, but perhaps here are people whop experienced the smae and where able to solve this. Help is appriciated.

Howdy,I have a bit of a problem after I've installed FS2Crew for MD11X.1. The pushback no longer works once I've activated FS2Crew2. Because pushback isn't working, I cannot steer the aircraft because the nosewheel won't work either.3. When I press ~ to open the ATC window, it is hidden and I must continually hold down the ~ key to attempt to get info.Could someone advise if this has happened before and if there is a solution for it?

I am just wondering why fs2crew main panel shows like this?? I should right click on my mouse to undock fs2crew main panel. POST PICTURE!

Using FS9, FS2Crew with update 1 but not the voice pack, and can't see this reported yet.At night I can only get the FS2crew panels to light up by switching to the VC - when I'm in the 2D panel they stay obstinately dark no matter what lights I have on, when I change to the VC they light up, and as soon as I go back to the 2D cockpit where I spend most of my time they go dark again. I presume I've got the right cockpit lights on as they behave when I'm in the VC ...Any suggestions ?ThanksGary

Bryan,Good to have the forum back.I finally bought the PMDG MD11 + FS2Crew and I must congratulate you on a superb product. You really nailed it this time. The integration between the two products is perfect and flows beautifully. The aircraft is of course a masterpiece but you have finished it off perfectly. After a few hairy moments on the learning curve (mainly involving climb thrust and slats timing) I can now fly the thing flawlessly from A to B and happily report zero, that's zero technical problems.

Has anyone had a problem with the MD11 freezing and at the same time hearing a regular 'chuffing' sound? The system locks up completely, even ctrl,alt,del doesn't work. I have downloaded the latest Md1 up date. Drivers are all the latest issue. Sytem is Vista 32, 4 gig ram, intel qaud 2.4, GTX9800, FSX. I have also performed a complete re-install starting with a new hard drive upwards.All other aircraft OK including PMDG 747I am amazed at the realsm and complexity of the MD11 and am totally frustrated that it will only fly for a couple of minutes before freezing.Thanks

This may not be an FS2Crew issue:Just installed the PMDG FSX MD-11. Following the FS2crew tutorial. Go to Add-ons/Options etc. But when I click on this nothing happens and I return to the aircraft. Nothing in Aircraft fuel. Performance tuning is ok. Keyboard commands ok. Nothing in the Panel State load/save. Nothing in failures. Thanks! Maniac
