FS2CREW: PMDG MD-11

Hello again,I've noted a small, mostly cosmetic, issue with flaps 50 approaches. The text on the green button says "50" after flaps 28 has been extended and gear is down, but the actual call and flap setting made by FS2Crew is flaps 35. Another press of the green button (now blank) is required to get the final flap setting and checklist. Flaps 50 is correctly set in the control panel and included in the spoken approach brief. I've done this several times now and the result is always the same.I've had one go-around from flaps 50 where the FS2Crew flap retract sequence was out of sync with the actual flap setting, and I had to retract manually to clean. I had to go around today on approach to EDDF 25R because another aircraft was on the runway. The GA logic in FS2Crew worked flawlessly, but I have a question: Is it possible to not go all the way to a clean configuration, but stop at flaps 15 and start the next approach from there? The VATSIM controller vectored me around a short circuit to a new approach, and the clean maneouvering speed was a bit too much in that situation.Thanks,Tom

Good morning,I have noticed that following the TOD message the FO selects windshield anti-ice as described. However, he only seems to select to right window screen. The left side remains off. Is this a known issue? Perhaps more likely, is it operator error?Shortly into my taxi I realize that the selection increase and decrease, the - and = keys respectively, no longer work. These keys should increase or decrease the zoom. I am certain FS2Crew uses these keys. So, how can I go about zooming?Best regards- great product!JW

hiso it has been a few days since i flew the md-11. in the interim i had installed the twin otter along with rex. so right there obviously i know there are a lot of variables although i don't think they should matter i just wanted to make sure you know i'm aware that there could be some shenanigans here.anyway today i tried to load up the md-11 and fsx would just crash immediately. i tried loading the default plane (worked fine) and then switching to md-11 and it would crash on load."fine" i said and i ran the md-11 installer, hit 'repair' and everything seemed cool it loads again..but no fs2 panel of course.next i reinstalled fs2crew followed by the 1.1 update. checked s…

Two small problems I'm having:1) My FO tends to want to go around just as I'm getting established on the glideslope. I'm not sure exactly why he does that, but it seems to be happening a lot with a combination of a low transition level and a high glideslope intercept altitude. I've learnt to get the jet under control by now when he does that - and I'm seriously considering reporting him to the chief pilot if he doesn't shape up - but I cannot get FS2Crew to work after that. HiIf I have recently purchased and downloaded FSCrew MD-11 along with PMDG's MD-11 from the PMDG shop, what other files do I need to download from the FSCrew site in order to ensure I have the latest version of your software installed?The .exe I have within the zip file is dated 31/10/2008 so I assume I need the file "update 1.01" and the latest "start centre". HiI'm new to the FS2Crew world, but very impressed with this product which is coupled so well with PMDG's outstanding MD-11. I'm using WidevieW with multiple CPU's and monitors.I've noticed that the FSX ATC window, the dialog box one uses to tune and 'talk', sort of disappears after running FS2Crew. I have a joystick button mapped to the"`" key, and normally open and close the dialog box as needed.When I press that button, or the key on the keyboard, the window appears momentarily (just flashes on screen) and then disappears. Holding the button will cause the dialog box to flicker on and off, but it always stays off.I tried remapping to a different key on the keyboard,…

Hi,I am having a couple of issues with FS2Crew for the MD-11 and was wondering if anyone can help.1) I have seen the timer (when at the gate) reach 0 and then change back to 27+ minutes. This has happened a couple of times2) On the same flights, having completed the Approach checklist, FS2Crew suddenly goes into Go-Around mode, gear up, flaps 15 etc, and will not allow me to change modes. I can land but it's stuck in G/A mode. I am not sure if the two things are connected but the 2nd only happens if the first has happened. Otherwise all is normal.I am running FSX on Vista 64. The only things running are ASV v6 and Radar Contact 4.3.Jonathan

I am experiencing so strange behavior when using the MD11 with FS2Crew Active.The programme functions correctly until engaging Autothrust on Takeoff roll. At which time the Left and/or Centre engine will throttle down show little to no N1 or EGT but still Hight N2No failures are active or armed within PMDG or FSX platform additionally I have reinstalled the programme three time in addition to the Update.The bug/error does not occur when FS2Crew is not active (Note it will happens if using just the "checklist" and not preflight actions aswell)Any Ideas....I love the FS2crew Application on the PMDG 74X and would love to use it on this beauty Cheers

Since purchasing FS2Crew for PMDG MD-11 the start center will not display - I say will not display because when opening the task manager it is running in the background but it doesn't open up or emit any sounds. As a matter of fact it will not open up for FSX or FS-9. Thanks for any help you can provide me!

Hi,First off just wanted to say thank you for making FS2Crew available at the same time the MD11 was released. They are an awesome combo! I have been through several flights and ran into a small issue which is probably something I'm doing wrong but I can't seem to figure it out: Upon takeoff, the Red button does not seem to engage autoflight (autopilot) for some reason, I've tried to activate it on every flight at different altitutes ranging from 200 to 1000 feet after takeoff and it does not engage. The red button shows "AF" but doesn't seem to respond. The Green button seems to engage PROF correctly. I know the Red button is configured properly since it works for all ot…

This is probably a daft question but all the same I will potentially embarrass myself by putting it into the forum !I only want the MD-11 for cargo runs to simulate my employer's daily runs. I assume that on a cargo flight only the flight deck crew are simulated.I have never had an FS2Crew program before but having read Paul's(psolk) passionate approval of it in various postings feel it may be of a beneficial use to me as well as enlarging the overall experience.ThanksWilliam

Bryan, I notice that the topic is listed as PMDG MD-11 edition, not FS9 or FSX. Is there going to be a FS9 version of FS2Crew for the PMDG MD-11, or is this only going to be for FSX? Thanks.Ed Lee

Bought FS2crew for MD11 FSX as a package and it has installed fine but Start Centre (sept 08) doesn't detect MD11 and neither does start centre (may 08).Any advicePod

Guys,I have had the privilege and the honor to Beta Test the PMDG MD11 in conjunction with FS2Crew for the MD11. While I will not be around until later to answer questions (running out for a quick spinal operation) I can tell you that what you are about to have in your hands is unreal!!!The PMDG MD-11 is the ONLY reason I am flying FSX right now. PMDG has created a masterpiece thats performance is mind blowing considering the complexity of what they produced. Both the AC itself and the entire PMDG team have opened my eyes and I will NEVER EVER look at another MD-11 the same again!
