FS2CREW: PMDG MD-11

Hoihoi...I only want to ask ...you´re eventually planning a voice command for the PMDG MD11?

Hi...I just downloaded the MD-11 and am finding that the settings of alt, hdg, etc on my vrinsight hardware are not calibrated with those on the cockpit instruments.Any experience with this?? Thanks!Marty

Hi Bryan,i use many versions of FS2Crew, what a great product, thank you! With the MD11 freighter version i have a small problem. At take off i press the green button and the FO calls "engage profile and navigation" but he doesn't do this. So i switch profile and navigation manually. Is this correct so? And at engine start i get the "15% call" always later (near 28%) and the "45% starter..." too. No big problem for me but i have noticed that.Happy Christmas,Chris

Hi,I selected to have the deflected ailerons option in the menu, and it is not working, and i do not see the deflected ailerons when I view from outside. When I go back and check my PMDG options, I see it selected, it is unselected and back to the default selected. Why is this happening? Can anyone help me with this or know how to fix this. I am stumped by this problem which all of a sudden has cropped up since I installed AES Base Pack and then when I discovered that I could not do an FS2Crew or plain old MSFS push-back,hence uninstalled it.Everything about the FS2Crew works perfectly from start-up till I've selected flaps 35 and am about to auto-land when instead of going to the Decision window I get the Go Around window and the u/c comes up and everything goes pear-shaped.I cannot go backwards or forwards on that G/A window choice,so have to hand-land,but the IAS is not bleeding off and hitting F2 to engage reverse thrust makes no difference and then have to use F1 to cut the throttle or abort the landing…

Hi Bryan,since my Jetstream button control version runs perfectly now, (and I really LOVE it btw :( ), I have a question regarding the MD11 version. Is there any big difference between the handling of this two products? Or is it similar to use (mainly with two buttons like in the button control version).Hope to hear from you soon, because after I got my fresh system now (after a few days I have to say, it was not a bad thing to do a clean installation of all things, it so smooth now :( ), I wish to upgrade my MD11 also...

Hello,I use the MD11 (FS9, Windows 7) since one year and after a computer crash I installed it again without problem.After some weeks without flying I tried to use the loadmanager and there after the MD11 itself. The loadmanager was not able to load my airplane because of a complex error message.The airplane itself was working perfect in the FS9.So I thought to reinstall it but the installation was interupted with the message that the airplane is installed wth the latest update?!?!After this message I deleted every PMDG software manualy including the registry. Hi, i recently bought the PMDG MD11X edition of fs2crew and although i haven't had time to thoroughly test it i think its very realistic, but i gotta admit i have a bit of a guilty conscience for not having to do the full preflight myself :DI have a couple of questions with both AES compatibility and a problem i discovered.First the AES questions: Do i have to do anything special when using Fs2crew together with AES? Also to synch the AES deboarding, cleaning, catering, fueling and boarding with fs2crew i've set deboarding to 6 minutes, cleaning to 10, fueling to 11 and boarding to 17 minutes. I am on the verge of getting this, but the one thing that is stopping me is that, I do not know what the frame rates will be like, and there is no demo to try it out, and it is a lot of money to spend in one go on an aircraft. I have an older machine, with a pentium D 2.8 G, with 3 GB of ram (DDR2), and an Nvidia Geforce 8800 GT, what is the hit like, I've dearly wanted to fly a DC-10, or 11 for a long time.

Hi, I got a new FS rig in yesterday, specs are as follows:W7 x64i7 930 OC'd to 3.9GhZ6G RamGTX 480FSX SP2I have the PMDG MD-11 and FS2Crew of course.After going through the start up procedure, I have either gotten a CTD or a flickering ATC for lack of a better term. When pressing the ampersand key, the ATC window momentarily flashes up before crashing. Any ideas?

OK, diving into the manual before using FS2Crew for the very first time. But, before I do, I am trying to sort my current pristine (very well memorized) keyboard assignments just for FS2Crew. For years I've used the reg'd FSUIPC utlity to assign FSX keys to both the sim and the payware aircraft such as the MD-11. I use Shft keys for the sim, tab keys for the aircaft, Ctrl-Shft keys for FS Passengers, and Ctrl keys for Radar Contact. Bryan,This program that you developed is really a fantastic piece of work however there are certain improvements that you could make that would make this thing even more amazing and HOTTER than it is right now. The limitation of the program, as I see it, has to do with the functions of the secondary panel in the Departure Brief, Cruz Message, and Approach Brief module sections.I'm sure you'd agree that currently there is a limited number of briefing and message scenarios. Most users, like myself, fly to many other airports that are not listed in secondary panel briefs and message sections. I noticed when flying with FS2Crew my spoilers / speed brakes don't work during the approach phase of the flight, not 100% sure at what exact point during the approach the problem starts but it seems to be below 10.000 feet or maybe after running the approach checklist.What happens is when I try to extend them to add drag they won't and when looking at the spoiler handle I see how it's pressed downwards but then it just pops up again. I have tried to extend the speed brakes both by using the default keyboard shortcut as well as using the mouse in the in the v/c. I've done some flights now starting with the complete Pre-Flight Events but according to the manual running them is optional and you don't need to run them every flight if you don't want to so...to save some time on departure I thought I would try to do a flight without running them but I'm not sure what exactly that means for the flows for me as the captain vs the FO?As I see it skipping them means I need to perform some of the stuff otherwise done by the FO when running the Pre-Flight events...is there a step-by-step list somewhere to use when not running the Pre-Flight events to make sure I don't miss anything when preparing for the flight?

Hi,I purchased the heavy hitters pack and installed fs2crew for the md 11.I also have dbsim airport gps on this machine but after installing fs2crew, it did now work anymore.I tried re-installing the dbsim addon but then fs2crew would not work.So i tried re-installing fs2crew but then again dbsim airport gps was not working .I had a look at panel.cfg and it looks like that when I install them they cancel each other's entries in the panel cfg ?Is there any workaround ?ThanksVic Nucera

Since 90% of my flights don't involve flying to the cities listed on the cruise message list in the secondary panel I figured out a way to make the cruse message play the generic message each time (without a city name) when the button is pushed. The generic message becomes the default message and there is no need to scroll though the 69 cities listed to get to the generic message and play it. Whenever I'm airborne and use the green or red buttons on my Saitek Evo Force joystick to advance the script and dialogue on the primary module the autopilot on the MD-11 becomes disengaged and then I have to manually re-engage it. I have to use a mouse click on the panel on the red or green keys in order to advance the dialogue and script without disengaging the autopilot. I would like to be able to use the joystick buttons though. Can some one tell me why this is happening and how to fix it?Thanks,

I am however just at the beginning of the learning curve and have a couple of questions for you:In the Cruse Message module is it possible to set the City, Ride and Time to defaults so that each time you open a new flight the defaults you previously set display? Additionally, is it possible to reset the display size of the entire Secondary Panel (Primary Panel as well) and have the changed size load with each new flight session?Also

I'm having a problem in that I lose the FSX ATC window after engine start. What I have been doing is going through the preflight and not fast forwading the FS2Crew but after engine start no FSX ATC window.At the moment I'm taking off, then during the climb I save the flight close the sim down and then restart as a saved flight. I also have to get the flight plan sorted before an unevental flight.Have recently upgraded to four Gig of RAM to overcome this probem but not the answer I'm looking for.Help pleaseJack

I know you earlier said that you probably wouldn't be making voice commander versions of airplanes you have already covered, but seeing that PMDG737 Voice commander is a reality, have you re-evaluated your opinion? What I am really getting at is whether a MD11 in a voice commander version could come true, or are you too busy finalizing the Maddog and preparing for PMDG 737NGX, Dash 8 and T7?
