FS2CREW: PMDG MD-11

Hi Bryan, At times my landing lights won't be activated by the FO when going below 10k, (this happens most times). Last night my checklist order would not automatically o to the next section - final cockpit prep>before start flow etc etc, and if I moved it manually usin te right arrow key, when it sould have been on the before start flow, it read out the final cockpit prep checklist. There are a few minor things like this - is it down to me by changing views? going to spot view etc at wrong times or something? IRS wont be shut down most times also. Question though, - at what point do I do a hyd pressure test? Thanks

Hey folks, Currently I use fs2crew with this bird and looking into getting FSC, I am trying the demo, but cannot get the mcdu to display - possibly due to the 49 window thing? - when I install it using the FSC acars installer, the acars gauge goes into "50" FCDU" but it does not display, - is this because I have already reached my "49 windows" How do others configure this? - I have it installed in the caravan 208 and it seems to work ok. I will also post this in the fs2crew forum, to try get more hits I will have a few other questions, like configuring callouts etc etc, but all in good time Thanks

Sorry for the really dumb question but Whats the point in button control? If i have to push buttons anyway with FS2crew whats the difference with pushing buttons normally?

When my FO is turning on EAI he always skips engine 2 and I have to assist him. Is he just a sloppy guy or is this a bug with an available fix? Cheers,

I am having trouble getting the FO to set takeoff flaps. I load the plane into the 2D panel but after it is loaded I switch to VC. I set the dial a flap to 25 and have flaps 25 set in the FS2Crew window. I wait while it says wait after I select the after start flow. He sets everything but the flaps. I have had it work a couple times but more often than not they don't get set. I have never had it work with anything but flaps 25 but I guess that could be a coincidence. He always correctly retracts the flaps after takeoff and after landing and correctly extends them for landing. Hi. I have the MD-11 FSX and the fs2crew fsx version w/update.About the 35 min point during preflight I get an FSX freeze/fatal error. The message contains : sound\fs2crew\md11\to\cvr.wavcreation failed. Please make sure file is available...or something to that effect.I am confused and a little frustrated.Any help would be appreciated.

Hey folks, as the title suggests - My counter resets itself and jumps to 71 - twice its happened now, first i set up at a gate, ten change to 2d panel(in default a/c) then i select which md11 i am using, - start fs2crew, once its started i then choose VC. FYI - i have been flying eastbound round the world and have got to new zealand (after 11 legs) - as i say thats twice its done it now, any ideas? I have just reinstalled it, as something went wrong with my fs2crew cold and dark - it was loading up a warm state, maybe i strangely overwritten it with a warm state by accident - i just cant remember seeing an "overwrite protection" Thanks guy…

I just bought and installed FS2Crew. Works like a charm. But, since installing FS2Crew, when I use my yokes A/P disengage button mapped through FSUIPC, the same buttonpress also calls up my 2D cockpit. Slightly unconveniant when on 400AGL Tips anyone? Thanks,

Bryan I'm considering getting FS2Crew for the MD11 and I wonder if, in addition to download the program itself, there is a need to download anything else (SP, etc etc).

after what seems like a perfectly simple installation and got to start menu and click on "pmdg load manager". I get following, "aplication failed to start because your side by side confiuration is incorrect". Is there a way to fix this?

Hello Bryan/Guys, I'm having a weird problem. Every time a load the MD11 whether from the Main Screen or already on the ramp, FSX crash throwing an error quite unique cause where should say the name of the module causing problems it says unknown. I detected FS2Crew might be the problem becasue if a restore the PMDG panels from the FS2Crew program, the MD11 load just fine. Let me tell you that recently did a full re-install of SO and FSX and been flying other PMDG with FS2crew without a problem, the only difference that they are al Voice edition. Do you know what could be causing troubles with FS2Crew? Thanks

Hello! Just wanted to check something. Is it possible to run Fs2Crew AND VoxAtc at the same time on the MD-11? I remember reading that MD-11 uses 61 of the available 64 views. Was it that Fs2Crew uses the last 3 available view, leaving no space for VoxAtc? So here's my questions: 1) Are you running both Fs2Crew and VoxAtc without problems? 2) Are there any views that can be disabled on the MD-11 to make this all work? Thanks for the help!

Hi, Somebody on the PMDG forum was looking for a way to manipulate the range switches for the ND. He found out that nearly any function is worked over the rotor brake function and a control number. The post I talked about can be found here. Would this be a possibility for FS2Crew to 'press' switches without opening the 2D panel? Hi ive just reloaded pmdgmd11, and when i try to run fs2 it just stops at loading airac then ctd if i run md11 withiut fs2 crew it runs fine. same problem on 747 but 737 runs fine any ideas would be great thanks Mike

I reinstalled my fs2crew md 11 edition, I updated it (start center 2009+sp3) and quickly went thru the pdf file. The pdf still suggests one needs to load the pax version of the MD11. Can I use the software for the cargo md11 version ?? Thanks

Computer Information: Acer Aspire M5800 Processor: Intel® Core2 Quad CPU Q8300 @ 2.50GHz 64-bit I also have Traffic X intalled, and i think that might just be it before there is 10 fps. Hello MD11-captains out there, I've been flying with the PMDG MD11 combined with fs2crew now for a while (FSX) and it really is a great sim-combination!! Thanks to both development teams for the great work! I've been experiencing a strange issue, though: Sometimes when spooling up the engines during takeoff I get a "engine fail" warning above the PFD. There is no sound and the lamp extinguishes by itself when reaching a certain speed, still I would like to know why this happens. I set up the fs2crew panels as it is supposed to be (with the correct v-speeds and so on) and I use the green button to activate the function "take off roll" - FO says "thrust set" and "80, cla…

Hello Bryan and Good Morning If you recall, awhile ago I mentioned a problem with the pushback? Then I updated you that it now no longer occurred. Well, that was with the PMDG737 NGX. Today I switched to the forgotten MD-11, and after having informed the tug crew it was okay to disconnect after having 3 good engine starts, applying the handbrake, and while running the After Start checklists, switching to Outside View I noticed that the plane had moved backwards off its own. Any ideas? Or is this related to your product? Thanks.

Byork,If you don't mind could you check out the post I put on the PMDG side on the panel issues and tell what you think? By far the MD-11 is my favorite and I hate having this suddenly happen. Kind of grasping at straws as to why?

For the first time I got no pushback from the gate at NTAA. The groudie said release brakes and so I did and nothing happened. I had all the parameters set properly, tried 3 times and ended up having to slew back. Then as I got to the hold bars ready to back taxi to 4 and was going through the taxi check with the FO all of a sudden the groudies voice came on and said pushback complete set parking brake and that whole dialog went on. I hit the disconnect button on the secondary panel and then the plane started pushing back! What the heck went on there? This is the first time this has happened.

Hi,Been using fscrew for the MD11 for about a hundred or so hours now. After taking a break for a while I am now doing a flight from KSFO to PHNL and I noticed FScrew is poping up 2d panels other than the normal ones that the FO uses to operate switches. Like when asking for takeoff autothrust he popped up the center pedistal, and then the panel did not go away. Or other random checklists or Fscrew procedures will call something like the overhead into view. I have to manually close these out. It does not even seem like the FO is using anything on this panel either. This was not happening before and I have not changed my key bindings to the 2d panels, they are all unbound …

I just cannot achieve it and wonder if anybody could try it and let me knowif successfull.My goal seems to be simple:Fly to an airport,execute a GoAround, ( all by Autopliot ),then fly the HOLD,exit the HOLD and land at the same airport.The GreenTape should appear before the finall landing somethingI never get,regardless of what I do.If anybody has time to perform such a flight and let me know aboutthe results it would be greatly appreciated.Thank youAntonio Vernas
