Hi, first thanks to Christian for most amazing addon for FSX ever, it rises sim to a whole new level. Although i recently upgraded my aging PC with AMDX2 6000+ CPU and Ati HD3870 card, scenery rendering simply doesn't work for me with SP2 while with RTM it works perfectly (to get simmilar terrain update speeds as in RTM i have to lock frame rate to 8 FPS in SP2:( while in RTM i can get that with framerate lock at 30 FPS). So i switched back to RTM but i get those water squares from time to time. Any chance it will get fixed or do i have to upgrade again to some Quad Core CPU so that SP2 performs similar to RTM?

I've noticed that since Saturday Tileproxy has reported the following when used with GE: "nettile: Transfer #X failed to resolve host, retrying (X)..."The other services seem to work fine. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Hey, I'm trying to run tileproxy on vista 64, but F8 doesn't work for me because i use GRUB boot loader to dual boot with Linux. Any chance of the tileproxy drivers being signed any time soon to just get rid of that problem all together.

  7. Christian has set up the latest TP so that you can download textures with a higher re than 1.1 meteres - and the Sim itself can also be set for these. But - where can we find these textures? Which mapping service and where abouts on the globe? Thanks for any ideas.Barry

I am having a great time flying choppers in TP. They are made for it - great forward and sideways vision for sightseeing, you can vary the speed from very slow to Cessna type speeds - and , as we tend to fly slow for TP, they offer a bigger challenge to fly than a very stable small fixed wing a/c. All round, a very pleasing FSim experience.Barry

When flying over Italy using VE I get this error message with:access mip level <> for resolution 1024 failed on tile (file location) PHOTOREAL WORLD0602TEXTURE013001123220121SU.BMP with buffered resolution 512.The area immediately beneath the aircraft is pale blue. Further out from this it is ok.Any ideas anyone. It looks to me as if the highest resolution tiles have failed to load and this is confirmed by the TUI graphic. But why should I get blue ground and not just low resolution tiles?Bernardp.s. I am using VE because GE just times me out very very quickly even using captcha, which does not want to work.

compare the maps from the different Service providers - depending on just where in the world you want to fly.I had been doing a lot of flying in the US and found that I was getting good overall textures from Service 3 . But I decided to do a bit of flying in Israel - it is great to use TP to see parts of the world that are famous (for various reasons) - great geography lesson. But I found that I was getting all sorts of strange and unusual error messages when loading up TP and the scenery was not very good at all. Had a look at this website http://www.sergeychernyshev.com/maps.html and it became obvious to me that Service 2 had much better resolution maps all over the c…

Hello,I am a newbie to TileProxy, having discovered the program just a few days ago. I downloaded and installed Beta 7 and the updated Proxyuser.INI file according to the manual and the Newbies Quick Guide recomendations.I have to admit that I have had my share of teething problems, but I believe I have everything set up correctly, but I still do not see any sign of the TileProxy scenery. Here is what I do see:1)FSX churning way for hours around 50% cpu use in the process menu of Task Manager, while at the same time FSX all but freezes. I believe this may be a memory issue, and just yesterday I ordered 2GB of Ram from Crucial to see if the additional Ram will help. I curre…

Hello,I wonder if there's a way to keep downloaded files in our HD so we can fly with the photoreal ground when offline or even online, but without the need to retrieve new data. This would be great for people who have bandwidth limitation on their internet like me and fly mainly over the same area .All the best,Andy

Hey all, Absolutely fantastic work on this app!!!The only issue I have (as a heli pilot) is the lack of ground texture at really low level. Is there a way to have the default (or an addon) texture/scenery take over at low altitude? Say around 300 ft or less. This way it looks beautiful from above, but more like an airport at low level.Any ideas? Thanks!Rick

Hi I have a problem with Beta 6/ fs9/ google maps service 2 .This is my first attempt at using tileproxy and the results are fantastic. However when I shut down and later restart the sim at any location without starting tileproxy, some photo textures/grey channels are still embedded in the outer edges only of the tiles as seen using ctrl+s.The only way I can remove the texture corruptions is to uninstall tileproxy altogether although I suspect there is a much easier way...Any ideas how to cure this?, sorry no screenshots thats my next task.regards Jim

Morning all- For starters wow! I came across a few screenshots on flightsimworld.com and thought "that looks cool but what about autogen". However, I decided why not give it a go as it looks fairly non-invasive . So, 30 minutes of light reading - 5 minutes of set up and away we went.Everything works great and I haven't had a problem. However, I do have a couple of questions:1) If anyone is a frequent user of Tileproxy, has the time and an instant messenger, please contact me at [email protected] or [email protected]. I have some general questions that could probably be dealt better 1 on 1. It seems every time I hit the sky I come up with another one.2…

hello, when i use tileproxy the statistics in the console window never change. i see preloaded # and messages both increase, but the tiles, tiles per second, hits and misses all just show 0 and never seem to change when i fly around. i assume this isn't normal?i also have some problems where it seems like i never really get very many tiles to load at full resolution. i am using lod=15 . it seems like the immediate area where i take off loads correctly but it is hard for the sim to fully load anywhere else even if i loiter over an area for a while. i can sense that sometimes they are having trouble updating if i'm going too fast (150knots) but even when i slow down or just…
