HiI have a couple of questions i need answering.I am putting together a lot of scenic flights, is there a limit for the volume content in the cache folder? I have found that after using the clean up world folder, the contents in the cache when played backoffline are blurried, does this mean that to keep the quality playback i need to let the world folder fill up ,so the same question applies is there a limit also for the world folder content?without it affecting the playback quality.Hard drive space is no problem my cache and world folders are on a 1000gig harddriveThanks for help and advice Don

I've read through the manual, and I couldn't find any documentation on the structure of files and folders. If I have missed this information, I do apologize. If I were trying to locate cached images of a specific point on earth (say, 36.66, -121.89) how could I determine where they are? Thanks,~David

I am loving Tileproxy. I managed to get it working out-of-the-box and texture loading and performance seems great. Have it locked at 20fps and I'm getting 1000+ tps in flight. Only an occassionaly blurry tile around my aircraft. So, thanks to the Christian for all of this work on this and to Ed for this helpful guide. One drawback to photo scenery is the lack of depth to the terrain when flying really low or when landing and taking off. Do you guys just tend to ignore this drawback or do you find workarounds? Is there add-on scenery which adds enough trees, etc. around particular airports to make things feel more fleshed out?I tend to prefer to have a point of departure and…

My best friend moved from here in Maine, out to Granby Colorado about 15 years ago, and phone calls had been the only contact we have had since then. He never got a computer until a year ago, and just got internet a month ago. Last weekend I talked him through setting up TileProxy and he loves it ... we figured out multiplayer flying and yesterday he lead the way around Denver and up into the divide of the Rockies, where he showed me his house! The resolution was fantastic, and he said in mid flight "I can actually see goats on the goat trails!" But the ability for me to be able fly around with him, and get a guided tour of his neck of the woods, with both of us seeing …

Hi, new here and am looking for some help. I have had Flight Sim X for a while and was running under XP, single core and was slow as you know what. My wife bought me a new box, dual core so I could load and use Tile Proxy, now the problem.I downloaded Tile Proxy and unpon installation, Vista64 Home edition errors on the unsigned driver when it loads. Well it actually doesn't load due to this. I've uninstalled it and spent about a week looking for a way around it but can't find one.Has anyone had this problem and if so how did you get around it.What I've done but hasn't worked.BCDedit and set DDSIABLE_INTEGRITY _CHECKS, does nothingF8 on boot, select ignore signed, does no…

I have FSX with Acceleration and XP Pro. I installed and ran Tileproxy based upon the quick tutorial on the other site. I am flying out of Albuquerque which has high resolution pictures, however, when I fly on FSX with Tileproxy the landscape is a total solid blurred mess with large blocks of water everywhere. I'm lost using this program. Anybody that can help me? I'm not the greatest computer person either. My internet is COMCAST cable highspeed, so that shouldn't be a problem.

I am reinstalling Tileproxy, and came across this box as checked by default ... I was wondering just what exactly TP does to "optimize"? ... Alter the FSX .cfg's?I will only be flying a piper cub slowly at a low alt, and will never have a need for this type of optimization, but I'm wondering if it helps things look better regardless of speed, so should I keep it checked anyway since frame rate is not an issue for me either way? I just want it to look as crisp and sharp as possible at low speeds and low alt ... Thanks! - Darrinedit: I left the box checked, and this is my ini:## Start a line with # to comment it out.# Turn your text editor's Word Wrapping OFF for editing t…

Just installed Beta 8 and used the recommended ini file to get things going for FS9.Well, things run fine for a few minutes, then my computer starts beeping at me (the beep that comes from the computer itself, not a sound file), and I see an error that says:tileproxy.sys: PreCreate: Unsolicited Access to '?' by ''!Does anyone have any idea what I should do?

First, I learned that it is very likely impossbile to have Vista64 automatically disable the signatures on bootup because Microsoft forced this inablility. Therefore, it requires a macro..brilliant. So I found this little macro program that literally presses F8 and disables the signatures as a little macro, which is kind of cool. You can sit there and watch the macro run, i.e. it will go to the F8 preboot screen and it will select disable signatures by itself. Granted, there are many disclosures about using it at your own risk. I have images made of my hard drive so it really doesn't matter if my machine blows up because I can just reimage it.Therefore, I went for it. The…

Hello, everyone!Today I decided to upgrade TP to BETA 8. The way it goes is smooth and easy. I created a new flight, hit OK and watched the progress bar. It stoped showing 18% and that's it. I believe it is due to CAPTCHA, which activates Internet Explorer window. I use more Opera or Firefox, but have XP SP3 with updated MSIE 8 Beta. With older versions it worked fine, with 8 BETA it doesn't anymore. Anyone else got this problem, too? Any solution to fix this? Thank you for help!PietroPS: Sorry for mistake in title (MSIE 7 - should be MSIE 8 BETA)

HiSo I'm trying to use TileProxy and I'm having problems with blurries.Just made the bandwidth speed test and it sais:Download speed : 1049 kbsUp speed : 723 kbsI have no problems when flying really slow with a glider (50 kts) but every time I fly a small aircraft (100kts) I see 5m/p or worse. My system isc2d [email protected] GhzGeforce 7600 gs w 256 mb2Gb ramFSX SP2 with following values in fsx.cfg:FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION=1TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=80Frames locked to 20.So basically TP doesnt succeed to load scenery at 100 kts, I'm wondering if I can get any better results with my 1mb internet connection. I was experimenting with level mappings but didnt get any acceptable results.…

Hi,first, thank you so much Christian for creating this masterpiece of software !!!But in my enthusiasm i'm thinking a little bit about the consequences : this software works pretty great, in the future allmost every FSX-user has an fast internet-connection - think about what woulfd happen if all FSX-users (or maybe many of them) will use this software ?If any of us would own a server with a free service of satellite pictures - how would we react if only a litlle amount of users are producing the most traffic ?Maybe i'm thinking too dark in the furture, but what about the possibility, to let Tileproxy or an other application create an offline scenery ? Under flying Tilepr…

Just installed and really enjoy TileProxy so far ... Thanks to Chris for allowing me to see what I've been looking for all these years ... a flight where I actually recognize what I'm 'flying' over! Before I found TileProxy, I was trying to build my town in FSX using G**gl* Earth and making .BGLs left and right to make at least this sad attempt: http://www.mainecustomdesign.com/winslow/ - thanks to TileProxy, I probably won't fly over that ever again ...Here's my sittuation, and I hope someone can help ... I am a new user of Tile Proxy.I wanted to thank you for Tile Proxy and for Ed's tutorial on Tile Proxy. I have 70 or so hours or actual flight time from a couple of years ago and was just a few short hours and the written away from my PPL. My son is now in aviation school at Middle Georgia College in Eastman, GA. Aviation gives us a really good way to connect. So, my interest in completing my license has been rekindled. A good friend of mine (a high hour actual pilot) got FSX and a $20 joy stick for Christmas, said it was great so I picked one up and began reading the forums and started the missions in FSX. I saw the post regarding Tile Proxy and Ed's tutorial (I th…
