For some reason I have started experiencing the following error message:TileAPI: WARNING! Output size of write_extended_bmp looks fishy! (16777290)What I think is happening is that I have my Max_Level set too high for the area I am flying in because the message appears after a series of HTTP 400 errors. I'm thinking about dropping the Max_Level setting down a notch and see what happens. If it makes a difference, I am using Service 3.Am I on the right track or am I barking up the wrong tree? Thanks,Mike

I am trying to fly above Istanbul, which is a city of TURKEY. I am using service 3. Before I fly I check the coverage from service 3 website. The images are fine. But in game images are very bad. I am posting both the service images and ingame graphics.Could anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? I did not change any settings in fsx.cfg or proxy.ini. Hi all,This seems a very interesting project, and I've a few questions I didn't see adressed in the quick start guide:1) Vista64; is it doable? I see a lot of posts mentioning driver trouble.2) Aftermarket scenery: Is TP compatable with after market scenery? Do you all remove any or all scenery efore using TP? TP as I understand it gives new textures, but what about coast lines, river flows, elevation etc?

Good Morning Everyone,After 3 weeks of experimentation, I now think I have the sweetspot for FS9 and Tileproxy on my system which I will share. This seems to run smoothly, get the maximum range of tiles i can and avoid blurries.Hope someone with perhaps a similar system finds useful and perhaps others would like to comment or suggest improvements (to the settings):System AMD 5000 dual core2 Gigs DDR RAM7900 GS GraphicsDSL normally around 2.5 megFS9.CFG [DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS by TweaksRUs.0]Mode=1280x1024x32TriLinear=1MipBias=5[DISPLAY]UPPER_FRAMERATE_LIMIT=71TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=200TextureMaxLoad=10[TERRAIN]TERRAIN_ERROR_FACTOR=100.000000TERRAIN_MIN_DEM…

Hey everyone,I have a slight problem. "Slight" as in....TP doesn't work. Here we go...downloaded the latest version of TP. Installed and chose a cache folder on a seperate drive. I then downloaded the proxyuser.ini file from the TP quickguide. I then edited the services to use the cache folder I had created. I left it to use Service 3 BTW. Ok, I start TP from the start menu...let it do its thing to where it says it is ready for takeoff. Then I fire up FSX and it loads to the default Friday Harbor location. The problem is....it still shows the default FSX scenery. No TP anywhere. Where exactly did I go wrong? I really want to check out this program as it looks incredible!T…

Have a look. If it doesn't play smoothly, hit pause and give it some time to preload. It's worth it.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kSRju-muVuM&fmt=22Except for a few clouds that have fallen out of the sky, this has the quality of a commercial photo scenery.

This is an amazing program that just brings so much more out of FSX. Thank you so much Christian :)I was wondering if anyone knew of any map-services we could add to the ini that was perfectly ok to use for this sim purpose?Maybe lower quality, but with no concern about copyrights or 'grey' issues.Thanks.JEL

Good morning everyone.I have finally installed TileProxy Beta 8 and I'm very impressed. It will change a lot of things now.But still I have a small issue I can not sort out. Since I have installed TileProxy, my runways have a strange texture. They are not smooth. As the taxyways, there is a kind of flickering on it. I can see it on the fencing around the airfielf, on the roofs, or , during flight, on the ground, far, below the horizon.I have tried to change, as the manual says, the ndivia driver parameter (I don't remember the name) and the midmap (?) = 6 in the ini file but still. :( I can send some screenshots if you want.I'm using FSX SP2, Vista 32, GeForce 8600M GT (…

HiTP great program but I now have a problemAfter removing TP my FS9 crashes while loading a flight, it gets to 33% then I get a black screen and crashAny ideas on how to fix? Thanks

First let me say that I am not very computer savy, but after reading about Tileproxy and using Ed's guide, I installed it and ran it. The first boot of FSX didnt seem to work, so I shut FSX down, then TP, then restarted. On the second attempt, I got it to run and it was amazing. I flew for two hours in and around my home town, and had a blast.I havent been able to get it to work since, and I cant figure out why. Some elements seem to be working. The shape of the terrain looks right, but usually see nothing but a mottled green field. The airports around me all appear. Occasionally the ground breaks up and you see tiles that look like they came from really high altitude (I s…

Have you tried to approach google in a different way that may benifit both you and google? IE write in a script with a user name and password popup if using google, but requires soemone to pay a 20 dollar monthly fee? 80/20 which then google earthcould make money and you get funding to write bigger and better program. I also know the VP of engineering at google earth so you can message me if you need some info.

How about some help for some of us that can't get the newest Tileproxy to work? I realize that this isn't payware and you don't owe us anything but maybe if you could give us suggestions or maybe post some kind of beta hot fix to try, the problem could eventually get solved. There is apparently something that was changed for the worse between Beta 7 and Beta 8 that if found could maybe solve the problem. Or maybe if you would post Beta 7 (minus Google Earth) for download again for those of us that never had it, we could at least use Tileproxy.Tileproxy is too excellent of an application to allow only some people to be able to use it without fixing it.Mike

Hello. I have a problem with TileProxy not loading any tiles to FSX. It starts up without problems, when I run simulation it's downloading tiles as it should (they are on the disk) but it doesn't actually use them. I dos tray I got all circles filled but at the top of it I have message: individual tile accesses 0, preloaded 26452, hit 0 miss 0.All tileproxy sceneries are first on the list, no antivirus running (I close Kaspersky completly before starting TileProxy)I found this problem on this forum but it was for beta 7 and I don't think it was solved. Here is my proxyuser.ini (I removed all comments for this post)[TileProxy]master_enable=On#logfile="C:\logfile.txt"diskles…

Just installed this package for the 4th time today and am getting no where. Used the TileProxy Quick Guide to get a grasp for what it is I am trying to achieve and set up my .ini file as suggested for the 1.1 Meter Resolution KeyWest samples provided in on the Guide Homepage. The DOS portion seems to be working, everything preloading n what not, then accessing individual tiles anywhere from 0- 488tiles/second. Im running Duo Core 2. And when I load up into KEYW, I was initially seeing nothing but black and boats crusing through my scenery layer on the ground since FSX was drawing this as water. Now I have gotten to where I can see the Satellite Imagery trying to be redere…

Hi Folks.I am looking to use TP after seeing the screenshots. Howver, the download readme says that it is a small update although the file size is quite large. The installation did not give me the results I was expecting and the Forum posts I have read mention some Folders in the scenery config. They were not there. I have uninstalled the programme again and am now wondering if there is another installer I should be downloading. I have used the link in Ed's tutorial and installed his .ini file for FS9.Perhaps someone could give me a few pointers as to version and installation. Ed's tutorial makes it seem straightforward enough but my scenery is certainly not the same as t…

I have lots of saved flights that were perfect when flown offline.I saved these cache files containing the flights to another drive before doing a reinstall of TP.Now when i use these saved cache files offline i find five minutes into a flight the scenery becomes very badly blurred and unflyable.would the reason be that the world photo folder has changed?thanks for any help DON

Hi:First off, TileProxy is an excellent product. First time user, but longtime simmer -- it worked right out of the box. One thing I would like to fix is, somehow with the installation my airport ground textures (taxiways, etc.) have become what I can best describe as though they have "static," or have a glossy or shimmery appearance. I have also noticed it with some of the tiles as well.Does anyone have a fix for this problem? Would love to get the airport ground textures back to their appearance in default FSX.THANK YOU!Dave

Hello, this is a good example, I think, of the results of integration of FSX Autogen constructions with TPNiagara Falls, USA My best regard to all TP fans...!!!CiaoGiovanni

Do you think I can improve my quality through level mapping? - thanks! - Darrin

It sucks that they can still use Google Maps while I can't. That's an unfair competitive advantage. ;)They seem to have less trouble with frames per second and scenery updates ("tiles per second"). All screenshots I've seen have been razor sharp.Christian

Hi all,Been using Tileproxy almost every flight now. I notice that while it seems to collect lots and lots of images, load time are unaffected, meaning, long...Should I be deleting the Tileproxy images regularly? As I mentioned, it doesn't seem to load any more quickly when flying in the same area as before...Thanks,Andrew
