It was my brother in law that got me into FS and the other day I asked him why he didn't have some scenery packages on his computer that I had seen what was available in his library. He said he had no interest in them, that they weren't very good and that if I wanted them I could have them. As much as I'm sure I violated the EULAs I loaded them and found them to be absoulutely awful. I wondered how it was possible they could be so bad and my brother in law said they are even worse on his computer. The packs in question were Switzerland Pro, Mega Pacific North West and Mega San Francisco which wasn't too bad from a distance anyway. Packages like Georender, Mysty Fyords…

Does anybody know what is going on with the Routfinder page? For me it is the most important and best help planning a flight. I hope that they will be back in the near future.

Has anybody managed to purchase this and get it activated?After purchasing it and sending the activation request code, they did not reply with the activation code...After 3 days. I also sent messages to them by their website but no reply.Has anybody else faced this??How long did it take for you to get your code??George Joachim

I've always been bugged by the size of the font and ATC message window, they are quite large and interfere with the view. Last week during one session they appeared about 1/3 normal size which was just perfect. For the life of me I haven't been able to duplicate that smaller size font and window.Does anyone know where the setting is for that?Many thanks.

I installed the Default Beech Baron 58 Update by Claus Vendelboe Holmberg today. After installation FS9 crashes saying aircraft init error baron 58. I didn't backup the ori baron folder. Anyone know how I can recover from this?Thanks for any help. I can't load FS9 at all....

Hey everyone, I can't remember the designer that made a VW bug and others for FS9. Does anyone know?? I tried a search to no avail. Any help is greatly appreciated. Some of these models have great VC's for driving around the airpots when your not in the mood for a flight, and just want to watch the activity.

I have the SAITEL X52 but for some reason in FS2004 everything is fine except when I am either on the runway or just before touch down the airplane (PSS A320) will pull to the left and will be very hard to pull it to the right. I am not using any AP, just auto throttle. I am not sure whether it is the Joystick or anything else but it seems it is the FS as I tried even the MS Sidewinder and the PMDG 737 all with the same effect. I also tried with cross wind of 10Knots from the left but still will go to the left as if not wind is present. or worst still having wind from the right.I calibrated the joystick many times and disabled joystick handling from FSUIPC.Any idea what c…

Hi all,I have lost ATC comms and chatter. No further problems with FS2004 - sound or otherwise. Just the ATC voice disappeared completely. The text box with the appropriate ATC text is there as it should be.I think all this happened after I have experimented a few months ago with software like AISmooth, FSPassengers and Rader Contact 4. All programs that impact on ATC. I did not continue with these programs. I think (but am not absolutely sure anymore) that de-installation of these packages did not go smooth in all instances.Could the ATC problem be related to third party software overwritting one or more soundrelated XP system files? I started out by downloading FS Screen; but didn't feel like hand converting every picture to Jpeg. So I grabbed Screen Shooter. It said unzip to the directory of your choice; I left it in unzipped and dragged the .exe icon to the desktop. There was no mention in the Readme about which key takes a screenshot. I specified that screenshots should be sent to My Documents/pictures. When I press "print screen" a picture is sent there called "temp"; every time I press print screen it is overwritten. I did not change the default Screen Shooter picture file names. The image also is bitmap at three megabytes apiece instead of Jpeg like I specified. Fscreen is still installed FYI, …

Is it possible to change views ie spot,VC,2D,Tower on a select basis rather than to have to use the cycle commands. ie S and Shift S ?Richard.

Hi,I purchased (download) from SimMarket the Airbus edition and have enjoyed this package very much. The install went without any problems. Unfortunately in all airbuses the following switches are not working on the 2D or VC panels of any planes. 1. ADF/VOR toggle switch2. Rotary switch that allows distance changes above the ADF/VOR switch3. None of the "push buttons" above the rotary switch (CSTR,WPT, VORD, and ARPT). Is there a fix for these switches.? I assume they should work since they are critical in flying. Thank you for any support Carl

Well, I got no help at the Activesky forum, so I thought I would post this here since it gets more traffic......here it goes...Hi all, just purchased Active Sky 6.5 for FS9. Question regrading the textures. I want all the textures minus the runway light textures to be random every time I start FS9. Do I just choose Theme Random, or just choose random for each catagory? Plus is it more realistic to choose the textures for "weather influenced", plus how does that work? I have read the PDFs and text domcuments but want more info.Thanks,Bill

There is so much great stuff out there, and I'll be sticking with FS9 for a while since I'm not going to be even close to running FSX for some time.I'm pretty interested in things which make "everything better" like Ground Environment and others which enhance the visuals in the sim, as well as replacement textures, replacement Autogen, etc.Any help appreciated.thxAndrew
