hello guys i need help on my comp. everytime i land and takeoff with the sounds on iget a big drop on my framerates. is there any rememdy to this?Rajiv

Could someone please try an approach for me? I was flying from KMCO to KAVP in the Eaglesoft Citation X and was using the ILS 22 approach into KAVP with the LHY transition. I had the GPS all loaded up and the plane turns nicely on the rather winding segment that leads to the localizer. ATC cleared me to 3800 to be maintained till established, and I loaded both navs with 109.9 for the localizer and switch to NAV from FMS mode. The localizer and glideslope come alive while curving in and before the ILS feather, and as I approach the feather at 3800 the gliceslope decends. I try to activate approach mode but the plane won't decend down the localizer path. Instead, it se…

I have a brand new pc and just recently purchased FSX deluxe edition and I am not that impressed. I understand that it takes time for a sim to truly live up to its potential so I am going to purchase FS9 and get add-ons. I am wondering what you recommend for someone that really wants GREAT scenery. I am definetley going to get Flightzone 01 and 02 Portland and Rhode Island. Do you suggest getting UT-USA as well or ground environment pro 2006?? What in your opinion kicks out the best graphics. I am sick of landing on these satellite images that are flattened out. To me the satellite images are great for flying at 5000+ but when I get lower I don't want to see these …

How come I cannot use the SHIFT+E+3 key combo or Shift+E+2 these combinations never work for me and they will end up opening main exit and doing something else. THanks

Hi,I want to purchase the samsoft very singapore scenery but I cant find a definitive answer as to whether the CTD problems have now been sorted out. It is quite expensive and would be very frustrating if there are too many CTDs when using this software (especially after a long haul flight!).It woudl be great to hear from anyone who can help me with this as I really want to buy it.RegardsAndy S

Hi guys,Sometime ago, I downloaded Edit Voice Pack and it was working fine. Then, for no apparent reason, it began to act up; sometimes I could hear ATC, sometimes not. This also applied to other aircraft flying in the vicinity. I did get the read out, by the way, so at least I wasn't completely screwed.I've tried uninstalling EVP and .Net, and reinstalling, but that didn't work. In desperation, I've even uninstalled FS9 and reinstalled everything!But still I have the problem.Has anyone encountered this annoying problem, and/or has anyone a solution?

Hi guys. FS9 gives us some substantial square mileage to explore and I'm looking for new areas to visit. What specific locations have you found to be particularly well-represented in the sim "out of the box" so to speak? Theres so many different add-ons available that we may or may not have that I'm really looking for places that look good in the defualt sim only. Especially those little areas where it looks almost like one of the devs must have had a special interest in "doing it up right."

Has anyone seen textures for the Wilco/Feelthere CRJ-900 in United Express (SkyWest) colors? SkyWest is flying them now out of Denver, and I have been unable to find any.Any help would be appreciated!!Rick

Question, what are yaw dampers used for, and should they always be turned on? Some aircrats then turned on during taxi have the rudder going left and right in a crazy manner even when the aircraft is not moving. I have always kept them off.Thanks,Bill

This is kind of late in the life of FS9 to be asking this, but what do I look for when changing the video card settings between 2X to 16X for Anisotropic filtering? Also is Anisotropic filtering what is referred to on the hardware settings page of FS9 as filter (none, bilinear and trilinear)?I know that the recommendation is NOT to check anti-aliasing in flight sim and I use 4X on the video card. I have always run trilinear filtering in flight sim.On the 3D application of my ATI video card, I have been trying Anisotropic filtering between 2X through 16X with no real difference in the video graphic presentation. I see that Carenado sells two different C182 addon planes, Skylane II RG and 182Q. Which one is best? How do they compare to F1 C172?

Just before landing in the pmdg 738 I get an error, micrsoft flight simulator has run out of memory and will now exit, I have 2gb of ram installed, what is going on? I have plenty of memory to run fs.

Ive noticed that alot of FS9 things are being put under FSX in the library. Like the Seaboard ANG Complete AI Package. If you read the readme file it clearly says for FS9 only. So why is it under FSX? Just wondering.

Hi all,Is anyone using the Lear panel by Thomas Meier? I downloaded it and like it very much compared to the stock panel for th Lear, many new neat features. I can't seem to get the moving map to work on the center display. Everything else seems to work including the radar for AI traffic. Any suggestions? Hey everyone. I was wondering if there are any ATC chatter freeware programs out there that will allow you to have chatter during flights. Hi all,I just want to get some help from those who use keyboard to control pitch up / pitch down. How do know the aircraft is perfectly trimmed ? I mean, when you use joystick, after pulling back the stick on rotation, you hold the stick until the aircraft takes off. Then, you trim the plane until the joystick can be released from your hand without the plane further pitching up or down. At that point, you know the plane is trimmed. But when you use keyboard to control rotation, after you hit that pitch up key several times, the plane rotates and takes off. Afterwards, without a joystick in your hand to get that feeling, how do you 'visually' realize the plane is trimmed ?…

I have a question concerning those with Active Sky 6, I know everyone that has purchased it have said its night and day difference from the stock FS Weather generator. However how does Acvtive Sky handle the transitions from lets say climbing though a overcast sky to a nice bright blue sky? Plus I really hope there are no more hazy conditions and all of a sudden its nice an clear. In point, I really hope the transitions are smooth especially when it comes to visability. I have seen the screen shots and they all look amazing.Thanks,Bill

Hi!I installed the new FSX demo file today and uninstalled it afterwards. Just tried it.I normally use my FS9, which sits on my machine.But, after uninstalling Flight Simulator X my AITM Ai Traffic Moverdoesn't work.It simply doesn't seem to connect to my FS9.Can anyone help?

I've got some fairly specific needs for an FS9 GA aircraft to add to my hangar.* High VC qualit and gauge refresh (perhaps asking for RealAir standards is too much, but I'm spoiled by their stuff--has anyone done larger GA aircraft using the same technology for gauges?)* Low to moderate complexity* Good FPS (for comparisons sake, I bought the Dreamfleet A36 a couple of years ago and it killed my performance. Of course, the RealAir Spit and SF-260 run like a dream)* Seats 5 or more* Probably single engine, though I'm open to a twin.Does anything like this exist?

Ever heard of this? In the last couple weeks I have repainted a couple FS9 acft and when I tried to email the textures to those who wanted them the email fails to go thru and I get a warning that states that the file failed to transmit because it contained the "Oversized.zip virus".I use Norton antivirus scanning and it has assured me there is no virus. When u do a knowledge base search thru Google this overzied.zip virus is mention numerous times as some unusal quirk that no one had ever figured out completely BUT IT IS NOT A virus - it is merely a false positive.I've even had my ISP lower the sensitivity of their scanning to see if the email would go thru but to no avai…
