Is simflyers out of business? Their fourms been down for months and the last announcement on their web site was 01/06. The last pictures of their kbfi was April. What's funny is that most of their sceneries are not forsale anymore. And even more funny is that it's not the old ones. The katl and klax were updates and kphl and kdfw where real old and still forsale.

Has anyone tried to access Mike's site recently. Any reference I can find thru Google shows www.pmstone.com but that displays a real esate related site.JayGee

How nice. I just discovered the creation of this forum and I'm with you. I'll be sticking with FS9 for quite some time to come. It looks great on my system and the leap to Vista/FSX/New System may never, ever happen. Now to my question: There used to be a sticky in the forums that listed tweaks for the FS9.config file and I'll be darned if I can find where it's gone. Any clues?Also, my decision to invest quite substantially in FS9 poses another question: What would be the recommended add-ons for FS9? Somehow or other the water texture is not being rendered on my computer for just this area - that is, around Kansai Airport, Osaka Bay. Specifically, from about 100 meters seaward from Kansai all the way to the shoreline and in a swah slightly wider than the airport itself, my "water" in Osaka Bay looks like dirt/mud. Other parts of the bay look fine. I dont remember exactly when this started, but it's driving me crazy.I've already uninstalled the airport scenery upgrade that I had installed but that didn't clear up the problem - the water texture is not being rendered. Can anyone tell me the original bgl for this specific area? If so, I'll copy that back to the installat…

Hi, I see post here in reference to adding more stars into simulator. I looked in the fs09 cfg.folder but I don't see anything in relation to "stars". Can someone tell me exactly where to find the "stars".dat in simulator? Thank you.

Hi all,Im having a serious problem with FS2004 keeps crash on loading a flight at around the 80% mark or when I'm flying.This is a random time error but always happens!The Microsoft error is:-AppName: fs9.exe AppVer: 9.0.0.30612 Mod: ntdll.dllModVer: 5.1.2600.2180 Offset: 000106c3I tried to Google the error, no joy.I tried replacing the ntdll.dll, no joyPlease can anybody help me?????Dave

Hi,I removed REP from my system, but could only find certain back up folders containing the original water textures etc.Where does the bump-mapping 'effect' install? Or is it a .cfg change?I would like to remove it as I am having a few issues with UT Europe and would like to narrow down the possible causes.Thanks!Glenn

Does anybody know what the default terrain mesh resolution is for FS9?? I am thinking about buying FS9 and upgrading with FSGenesis mesh. I just recently bought FSX and I am not satisfied so I figured I would buy FS9 and get some add-ons until I can be happy with FSX when Vista/DX10 come out + more add-ons.

I know that this is not the AC forum but the link to that forum on the AC site seems to be not working.I reinstalled FS on a new system recently, and installed and registered AC. When I go to VC view and press num-key 2 (used to walk backwards), all I get is a switch to the rear view, as if no modification of the key function had occured at all.I recall having some trouble like this years ago, and recall its something very simple that I'm not doing. I haven't modified the keys at all in activecamera.cfg. Thanks for any help,Bruce.

Well, last friday I installed Project Mach2 Concorde, with the base and night textures, Air France and British Airways liveries, Pedro Oliveira's panel and FS2004 patch. After install, now I notice the FS2004 splash screen has been replaced with a concorde photograph.I tried to uninstall the Concorde, but surprise: there's not uninstaller, so I decided to remove manually the splash screen. But I see 3 different splash screens: the Concorde picture one, the FS2004 instructor one, and the FS2002 Pro (yes, 2002 Professional) available.:(Does anybody know in which CD of the FS2004 installer is the original FS2004 splash screen (and which .cab file? Why do my frame rates get really really bad just at the moment when clouds are being drawn in the distance, but after that they are as smooth as silk again?

did a few takeoffs and landings at boston logan and used runway 33 when landing. i found it to be a sloping runway that made flying an ILS difficult. was wondering if anyone else noticed this or maybe it's just me. KLAX seemed to have one like it also but i don't remember which runway. one of the ones used when coming in over the water but not as intense as the one at KBOS. william

Why does fs rebuild the database every time my fsb is overclocked?

Well, somehow one (or more) of my BGL files has become corrupted. Anytime I start a flight from KDTW, KDAY, or KCMH or overfly that region, FS crashes. MS Support was unable to help me, so I'm checking here. Their suggestion was to reinstall the game, which really isn't an option since I have over $1000 worth of add-ons. What I'm looking for is a listing of which cabinet files on the FS9 disks contain which BGL files for a specific geographic location. Barring that, which directory (name, namc) contain the BGL files for the above areas. KCVG and CYYZ both load with no problems, so it must be just in this geographic area I'm having a problem.
