When I fly into urban areas in Megascenery it usually takes a minute or something likt that before the textures are loaded that I fly over. The problem is particualary glaring in PNW andhere it's not only urban areas. Isthere a cure for this?I gotAMD 64 3200+Nvidia 6600GT 256 DDR31 Gb RAM

Hi jgreth. I hate to call you out, hope that doesn't bother you but I am experiencing a minor problem with FZ02 Portland. It is beautiful scenery but I just notice a little stuttering. I can't really focus on the beautiful graphics of airport as I fly by. I am getting 19fps at worst. I just bought FS9 last night for this scenery so I know of no tweaks in the cfg except for what flightscenery suggested on their site. I don't know what that really does but I am assuming it helps with performance?? If you could list your software specs that you ran with that video you made I would really appreciate it. Hello,Just wanted an opinion on this one, been using FS9 for over a year now and I'm finally at the level that I want to be graphically etc, this question was never actually relevant until I purchased the Flightzone Portland last night, but do most people use full or normal autogen with photo scenery like Flightzone? I can't actually make up my mind whether it looks better with autogen turned off, I find that textures seem to be a bit blurry under autogen, just wondered what the majority do?Thanks for your opininonsGeorge Tyrrell

Dear pilots,I notised that the heading indicator in FS-aircraft still moves, although GYRO DRIFT is UNCHECKED in the settings-menue.Not as much as when gyro drift-OFF but stil.Am I missing something here or have others the same experience?If so, I was/am wondering wether there is solution to it.For instance, does FSUIPC something against it?Regards,Frans van [email protected]

While you're there, get the update and manual explaining how to operate the dynamic gates, etc. Mille's site has blocked the downloads for many months. Think because FSFrance was down for maintenance. Today it all works.Orly2004 by Mille is also available if you don't already have it. Both good, CDG very good.Readme in French and English, so you don't even have to fire-up Babelfish to figure out how to install it. RobOh, and stay away from the FSX forum, it's still pretty wicked over there...

Hi all. I am usind ActiveSky6 with FS9. When I get into the airplane, I setup the instruments while I wait for the ActiveSky weather to kick in. Say the runways in use before the real weather gets there is runway 35. Okay, the real weather loads, and the winds are 200 at 25. But the FS9 ATC still says runway 35 in use and directs me to 35. A 25 knot tailwind on takeoff - I don't think so. But ATC does not want to change. Anybody know a fix, a trick, hint, etc.??Thanks!!

I suddenly noticed that my KSEA (default) is raised up or the surrounding grounds sunk about 20ft (however we look at it). I noticed the same with KLAS and a couple of other airports.I have FSGlobal 2005 mesh installed and a hand full of other sceneries. I don't go crazy with sceneries. And FSGlobal is the only mesh I can think of in that area. But get this, even if I delete FSGlobal in scenery library and restart, the problem remains. So it's gotta be something else???????I remember a program that can give the file name such as HP702314.bgl with the coordinates. Can someone point where I can find it. I've just downloaded this application and have had no success in trying to use it. Among other things it's supposed to allow the user to choose a flight distance range and it will display all of the FS9 airports that fall within the distance range from the selected origination point. I realize that this file has just recently been released but it looks like it could be a really useful tool and I'mm anxious to have it in my library.

Is it possible to choose the runway of the destination airport using the fs9 flight planner? At times the runway designated by the program is not the most practicable.Richard

I have some lovely wing views along with my Boeing 757, 767 and Airbus 320 and I'd like to have one view of the panel, facing forwards, and another of the wing view, to my left. I have one screen plugged into the VGA, and the other plugged into an Adapter, that converts DVI to VGA. Its only occured on one airport, so i really have no clue if this is an addon scenery problem, or if it is an FS9 problem. The airport with an ILS problem in my flightsim is ENGM/OSL Oslo Gardermoen airport in Norway. Even on the overview map the green ILS slopes doesent show at ENGM. So i can set the freq. as much as i want to, but nothing happens on my ND or PFD. ENGM has got 4 runways, 19R, 19L, 01R and 01L respectively. None of them have a working ILS and i cannot figure out why?!anyone got a clue to what the problem might be?thanks for helping out. Yngve

To all of you intelligent folks:Quick question....I use this hardware and now do all of my flying in the virtual cockpits...with a wonderful immersive feeling in the cockpit and in the expanded scenery. There is a slight trade off in that runway lights sometimes appear enlarged (or distorted)at this resolution (3860 x 1024).I remember seeing (somewhere, but I can't seem to find it now) a post about tweeking the FS config file to make the runway approach lights (VASI, etc) appear normal when flying in the horizontally expanded view that the Matrox hardware allows. I am using FS9 on my laptop which has a widescreen display (1280 X 768). I like the display for most of my work and I am thinking of getting one for my desktop. I've decided to purchase a 737 for my FS9 library and was wondering which one to go for. The two models which seem to appear most often are the PMDG 737NG and Wilco's PIC 737. I was wondering if anyone out there has flown both and how do they compare? Also are there any other recommendations, regarding 737's?Alan

I was curious how my fellow consumers are viewing the present/future pricing of FS9 add-ons. There are price drops from 10% to 30% on many diffent products already. Though many are of excellent quality, it will soon be odd perhaps to see a Cessna, for example, selling for a premium price when that Cessna's quality has been approched/duplicated/exceeded in FSX. This also applies to terrain.I'm not criticizing the quality of FS9 add-ons (or FS9 itself), just wondering when real life business comes into play and prices really drop for add-ons that are, if not years old, then at least technically (since FSX is out) designed for an "old" game.I guess it must be considered that…

hi all,am currently running a 76m mesh with ultimate terrain and ground environment pro and am pleased with the results....but is there anything even better in terms of ground realism.i mostly fly vfr.have looked at the vfr scenery available.is this better than what i have and does it run alongside my current terrain software.thanks in advancerichard
