FS Global 2005 or Flight1 Ground environment? I was thinking on getting one of these but I donot no what looks the best.Thanks for any inputs on this.

Just a quick note to let those of us still using FS9 at all, that Vista plus ATI RTM drivers are the BEST thing to happen to FS9 in a long time.There IS an immediate FR increase. Any texture loading / pausing has disappeared and the sim IS AS SILKY as FSX (when it actually gets around to being silky). With 100% sliders maxed, I've never seen FS9 act this way. It must be seen to be belived.Just a note that there is something good to look forward to if you decide to go that route.

When i start fs the sim runs smooth as silk, but then if i let it sit for 45 mins or so it is unusable, as in the frames are 12-15, not smooth as silk anymore..

I know this is rather late, what with FSX already on the shelves. But I am one of those who is waiting to upgrade until after Vista and DX10 is released. I've been having a very hard time with the PMDG 737NG panel giving me poor FPS (like 2-3). When I go to a spot view, the FPS goes up to the 20s and 30s. I have a dual-core processor and 2GB RAM. I can post detailed specs if needed.Now for the discovery...When I am in 2D mode and swap over to windows I can do a ctrl-alt-del and pull up the task manager. Under the performance tab, the CPU Usage History is split into two panes (presumably one for each path through the processor). One is completely maxed out while the other one hardly shows any activity. If I go back into the sim and select an exterior spot view, the frames pick up and the cooresponding pane in the CPU Usage …

Hello all.... I've done some searches re this panel by Richard Probst (file name: b727.050627.panel.fs2004.zip).I've installed it as per instructions, panel in the fsfconv folder, but the problem I'm having is slow instrument refresh. Sometimes the instruments don't refresh/update for a few seconds (my FPS=30). Also I've noted that when moving the mouse over selectable switches, the mouse arrow flickers funny.I can fix the above mentioned problems by removing "window13=a/p server-do not close" window (located in the panel.cfg), but then the AP doesn't work properly. 8000+ people have downloaded this panel, anyone got it to working properly?Thanks all

With the new wing in Terminal 1 open at Narita RJAA, is there an update to the Simmers' Sky/Overland RJAA scenery so I can move my ANA AI Traffic over to that terminal?

Is there a setting to force autogen to fill the autogen scenery from a greater distance? I would like to see autogen farther away. My best view of scenery now is looking down to see the scenery closer to my aircraft.Jim Wight

Since having installed the most recent ATi drivers, first the Omega and then the offcial Catalyst drivers (6.9 and then 6.10)I am getting blurry 2D cockpit textures in all my payware aircrafts.The left hand side cockpit textures and gauges are crisp and sharp as before but on the right hand side everything is noticeable blurry. It's as if the right hand side of the monitor is broken, which of course is not the case. In VC everything is perfect and spot and tower views are as sharp as before.Any ideas what could be causing this?

I've been in Las Vegas this week and when I got back I saw a post that kind of asked about the load editor for the PSS 757. So I just made the comment about how I had been gone for a week and still no load editor & fuel planner. And now the post is gone. Are those working on it that paranoid about some one just asking when it might be available or in my case just commenting on the fact it's been 4 weeks and nothing, that they would pull the post. I guess some one rubbed them the wrong way while I was gone.

I see there is a new revision to Al Wheeler's California Central Coast scenery in the library. It says that it is for cccoastx.zip. Is there a way to tell what version I have? I have this scenery but I am not sure if it is the cccoastx.zip version.

Hey guys I am hoping you have an answer for me. When I fly the F-18 Hornet from Aerial Foundry. In multiplayer we notice that we see each other with the Fuel Probe up and the Rudders in the up position. I noticed too that when I select to fly this plane in my aircraft selection mode in FS9 the plane shows the same way.If anyone has an idea of how to fix this let me know.Notice in the screenshot my wingman has his fuel probe up and Ruddervators up..its this way even when we are flying.Thanks for your help...Dave

I am running FS9 of course.My sim has developed blank (no normal colors, features, elevations) areas at two locations in the US. One, on and east of KMEM and the other, slightly north of KJAX. These areas have a blue color, like water only those areas should be mostly dry land. There are some indications of roadways.I am at a loss as to what happened and what the resolution might be. Not sure if this should be in hardware but anyway here is what I would like to do:I need to free up some HD space by transferring some of my FS9 folders aircraft and/or secenery) to my exteranl HD and still use the FS9 from my main HD? Is there a way I can do this or do I have to reinstall FS9 onto the external HD.Thanks,Carl

Hi all.My FS9 ATC suddenly stopped calling me by my airline name, regardless of what airline and acft I fly. Still calls out the traffic by their correct callsigns, though. I had a VoicePack Editor for sometime now. Maybe I need to reinstall the voicepack editor? Can't find the original voicepack (base) file in the avsim library. Any suggestions?

Hi everyone,I'll be glad if someone can help me get rid of this "waterlike/approachlights" effects once and for all. Its driving me nuts not to notice it when flying. I can only see them in the distant and when I got a bit closer they just disappeared into thin air!! strike me lucky. Duplicate TexturesI know that this has been answered in the forum or atutorial before, But i'm dammed if I can find it, so I am just confirming my understanding.Any help from you scenery experts would be much appreciated1. I have many Airports in my Addon Scenery Folder which contain many duplicate texture files.
