HiI have just upgraded PC for FSX (which I havent purchased yet) and having reinstalled FS9 on my new machine, the ground textures are very grainy. I can comfortably run FS9 now with all the settings maxed out, but I can seem to sort out the grainy ground texture issue. I have downloaded the latest drivers from the Nvidia Website, but to no avail.My systemIntel core2 duo e66002Gb System MemoryNVidia 7900GS 256mb Video RamHas anyone come across this or has an idea about how to set up the video settings to resolve this issue.James

hi all,just trying to find repaints for the default aircraft in fs9.I'm mainly interested in having them as AI traffic. i've just done a system rebuild and thought i had them repainted and named before (i'm sure i did but am i getting old?!?!?) but can't find the file...sick of hearing a "World Travel/Pacifica/etc descend to 5000"searched for repaints for these but couldn't find any in AVSIM or my other sources.thought of renaming the aircraft in the cfg but wouldn't be the same.anyone know of any repaints for the default anywhere for AI purposes?thanks in advance,ChrisVictoria, Aus.

Just put the RXP FLT gauges into my F1 172 along with 2 Garmin 430XP using a retrofit by Erik Fjellstedt and all I got to say is wow! It transformed an excellent plane into an exceptional plane. I never new RXP is that smooth. This is going to really help me prep for my instrument checkride this weekend. Highly recommend to anyone that has the F1 C172. If you dont have it, run and go get it!Cheers!Marcus

Hi, all. I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a scenery package for Paris Charles-de-Gaulle airport. I'm considering the Aerosoft version, but am wondering about its general impact on frames. Does anyone who has this scenery recommend it?Additionally, a week or so ago, I read about a French site that has a freeware CDG, but can't find the address; I'm wondering if that one fits in with someone's recommendations as well.Thanks for any info.

My opening FS9 splash screen has `slipped` or moved to the bottom left hand corner of the computer screen with only about a quarter of it showing and whilst it doesn`t stop FS9 loading its a niggle and I would like to move it back to the centre of the screen.Anyone know hopw I can do this ??ThanksGeorge

Is there any addon to make invisible aircrafts in a batch mode?I have a lot of AI planes but many of these are visible in the selection menu of the game. And change one by one is too much work. :-roll Thanks

After reinstalling FS9 following an upgraded system, I find that all the default aircraft are OK. However, my purchased addon aircraft are OK apart from one omission, being the gauges or gauge needles etc. Any thoughts on this problem would be much appreciated.

I wonder how to set addon scenery priorities for several landclass files covering the same area.Say I have a rather basic landclass bgl for the whole of the US and I have another more detailed landclass file for a given state in the US and a very detailed landclass file for a specific area like a town/city in that state.Does the priority of those three landclass bgls matter or can they be activated in any sequence?Thanks,Roland

When flying multiplayer sessions, what part of my aircraft does another pilot have to have to "see" me? Is it simply the textures or is the model required? If the model...does it only matter if the "XXXX.MDL" is named the same? Here's why I ask...I am preparing for a "fly-in" this weekend and we are all flying some "vintage" aircraft. The organizer has provided a list of aircraft to be downloaded, so we can all "see" each other in our respective aircraft. I have chosen the excellent Howard 500 from Milton & Co. Hi,still loving FS9... :) I like to fly heavy iron to big airports like Aerosoft's EDDF, but I would always get these horrendous stutters - or better - pauses on final approach when scenery gets loaded. It really ruins the approach... This is how I solved it:1. Get Recorder module 1.3 by Matthias Neusinger. It's right here in the library. 2. Position yourself at the treshold of rwy 07R, display the coordinates3. Create a new tower view in the recorder module and name it something like EDDF 7. 4. I was in the mood for FS9 after work last night, and something in the screenshot link I've added at the bottom of this post made me remember what I think was the most groundbreaking new feature added to the MSFS franchise--terrain shadows.Whether a screenshot from FS9, FSX or even FS2002, I am still awestruck every time I see the terrain shadows around dawn and dusk, and the dance of shadow and light they create in the sim. They are really outstanding in the level of depth they offer to MSFS. If you want a treat, just plan a flight from Reno to Palm Springs, don't plan on flying any higher than ten thousand feet or so, and set the time an hour or two before dusk. MSFS …

Hello All,My question today is this....How do you make a flight plan in FSNavigator for the correct arrival?The reason ask this question is because everytime I make an FP using FSN4.7 I always get the runway that I'm landing on wrong. I am usually flying the PMDG 747-400QOTS and haven't quite figured out how to change the runway I am directed to by ATC in the FMC. so, to change my question around a bit now that I have explained it....how do I figure out at the time of planning, which runway I will be landing on?

I noticed Flight Ontario has released CYHM, John C Monroe in Hamilton Ontario.It is a major freighter hub and home of the Canadian Warplane Heritage (if you have seen my videos, most of the vintage ones are out of CYHM in CWH planes).It's here at Avsim, look in the file library under "what's new".All I can say is ge those 727's ready and AWESOME!!!
