Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all,I have noticed some good reports indicating you should add FSGenesis as an addon to FS9. Since I plan to continue with FS9 I plan to add a few more goodies. I now have FE and GE. I need help in buying some FSGenesis software. First, I am not sure what the initial purchase should be. I do want to start with the US and Canada and probably populate Europe in the near future but am a little confused about the resoloution, landclass etc. I guess you start with US 76.4m which appears to cover the US except Alaska but then you can add on top of that the west coast at 38.2m and other parts of the US at a 38.2M. Does anyone know the name of the cfg file in fs9 where the control settings are stored? I use the dodo which requires specific tweeked control settings that are non standard and i grow weary of having to change them every time i want to fly something else and then having to change them back when i am done. I would like to setup a batch file to run depending on if its dodo or another aircraft i fly to rename the cfg files. I see there's now two very good looking panels for the excellent EMB120; one from David Mead, the other by Pierre FASSEAUX.Just wondering if anyone has done any comparisons? Does one have better functionality that the other, or are they just different in looks?Just curious - i like both but cant decide which i prefer.

I have been flying in New Zealand as of late. Unfortunately the scenery there looks horrendous for me. I'm not sure why. I have tried all sorts of other places in the world and everywhere else appears ok. This isn't a simple case of the "blurries" as the airports in NZ seem fine.Any ideas on what might be causing this? Or how to fix it? I can't afford to buy scenery right now and I'm really looking to solve the problem.Any help would be appreciated. Here are a few shots to show what I mean.

just wondering if there is any utility that will turn off the automatic refueling of your aircraft when you get close to a fuel pump at an airport..I would live to be able to pull up to one and then just add in the fuel through the menu - instead of it filling me up 100%thanksciao!Brian S

Is it possible to still get a copy of the last AIRACs that were free before Navgraph started doing them?I heard they caused problems with some payware aircraft so I might steer clear of them.I would like to get AIRAC 0609 or 0610 is possible for PMDG, LDS, PSS and FS Build. Can anyone throw any light on this for me? Like does it have any outside textures or graphics, or is it only the cockpit view?Then again, there'd have to be some sort of outside view i guess?Any info either way appreciated.Ta

Hi AllI have rebuild with a fresh install of Vista Business, I love Vista and FS9.1 is running as good if not better than it ever has before with all the same addins, I have a radeon 9600 pro video card 256 megs ram with a 3.2 gigs P4 and 3 gigs ram and FS9.1 looks better than it did on XP Pro. I was horrified at first until I changed the settings in the catalyst control centre but am now running at 30 plus fps on the ground at coolongatta airport with all addins andmax settings. If i try FSX I am lucky to get 5 FPS so it will be a while before I use FSX, also coolongatta looks ridiculous compared to fs9, not an fsx bash just informational for allRegardsWayne

Hey everyone, I have aerodesigns A340-300 and I have a problem with the virtual cabin. When I have the landing lights on at night the cabin lights come on but when I turn the landing lights off the cabin lights off. How do I fix this? Thanks

Somehow I bumped into,in the library here, a pile of 38M Alaska mesh for FS2002 by Eddie Denney. The first file in the 16 part series is ak2k21.zip.That's an amazing package and I wonder if it's compatible with FS2004. Anyone familiar with this mesh?

Whats up with these blurry textures, Heres my cfg and my fps setting in fs is 35. Hi Gang.I am looking for some help in trying to use the effects and,or textures from effects from one aircraft to another.example, I have the PSS Concorde, and as much as I love it, I would like to beef up the re-heat effects/textures, for this I would like to use the ones from the Alpha-sim B1B Bone, which looks mouthwateringly amazing.but of course I don't know how to do this.I have tried altering the aircraft file for the Concorde to use the effects from the bones aircraft con-fig file, but I get the re-heat effects out of line, usually up above the actual Concorde exhaust pipes position.can anyone please help me with trying to get these lined up correctly, there must …

I am using the trial version of Walk and Follow. Curiously when flying at night I can see the beacons with thier fuselage reflections when using FS 9 spot view no problem on the PMDG 747-400. But they disappear when using an external view of Walk and Follow. The navigation lights and strobe seem to show up fine on Walk and Follow. Even reflections from lightning on the fuselage show up.I wonder if anyone else has noticed this, or knows a solution.ThanksGreg

Dreamfleets Archer is out!

Prior to today, I was only using Flight Environment and Ground Environment Pro. Today, I added Active Sky. My question is how do they work together? Does Active Sky replace all of the Flight Environment's clouds? Or, do I load Active Sky first and then go into Flight Environment and load the Flight Environment clouds? How do they work together?There are some great Ground Environment Pro tutorials but none (I have found) for Active Sky.Thanks,RH

Hi!This is just for info and to help others having the same prob I had:I always had crashes to desktop, sometimes the screen turned black (execpt FS9 window with menu), then the error reporting box appeared showing different .dll's as the error (quite often weather.dll, sometimes terrain.dll, g2d.dll etc.). I seem to have solved this problem now:searched some posts and often it was mentioned to disable video caching or shadowing in the bios.I didn't have an option like this in my bios, but an entry like "enable PCIE spread spectrum" - I changed it to disabled and now no further crashes.So if you can't find sth. like "shadowing" or "cashing", try looking for "spread spectr…

With regard to FS9, are Traffic Tools and AFCAD still usable to manipulate airport parking and AI flight plans?I ask that because I read somewhere that Lee Swordy, the author of this software, was reluctant to update his originals from FS2K2. His reluctance was TTools became a bit unstable in FS9 and could cause CTDs.So what would anyone suggest? Have you all been satisfied that TTools and AFCAD use in FS9 hasn't destablized the traffic .bgl and caused CTDs???If it has, then what would you recommend?Thanks.
