Although my Task Manager shows about 40 processes running at most times, if I also run Filemon, then I can see that only 4 or 5 of these keep reappearing.Is there any value at all in disabling or suspending any of the others, as it doesn't look to me, that they're actually interfering in any way?Currently running 2Gb fast RAM.

All of my AI are parked in the wrong places so I have tried to install a new AFCAD but I cannot work out how to do it. Where does the new AFCAD go and do I have to delete any of the old AFCADs? Also is ther a good AFCAD that you use that works propperly? If so can you let me know how to get it.Cheers. :-wave Andy S

Hi,I am thinking of moving to vista64 bit... i will eventually so it may as well be sooner rather than later.Has anyone compiled a definitive compatability list for payware (and freeware) addons?I own many, but my particular interest is with LDS767, PMDG744+F, 737NG series, Dreamfleet Baron, A36, Archer III ( don't think any of these will work due to garmin trainer problems ), DF727 plus many others.. so if anyone can point me to a list or we make one here.. it would really help my planning.Other programs I use and want to work in vista64 are... Hi Everyone,I just upgraded to a Sapphire X1950 XT and Abit AT8 32X motherboard with an Athlon X2 4600+. My system also has 2gb DDR400 and a Creative Labs X-FI soundcard. My problem? First I was having bad shimmering / flickering problems. Then I fixed that, but now all of the cockpits are blurry, but the scenery looks clear. I've tried everything that I could think of, but I'm stumped! I have tried latest drivers from ATI (7.2), Direct X 9.0c, and XP SP2 with latest drivers and updates. I'm also running a MAG 19" monitor at 1280X1024 32 bit and 60hz.My previous motherboard was an Nvidia Nforce 3 based motherboard with an ATI X800 AGP based card and the same X2 460…

Can anybody help me. When I load the sim my engines are always running and I would like it to start up without engines running. I have tried shutting everything down and then saving the flight and making it the default flight but no joy, next time I fly engines are always running? any help appreciated.

I REALLY enjoy the F-15 flight model from LOMAC, and feel it is quite accurate, especially when pushing the low speed flight envelope, as thats my favorite way to fly that plane, so I am wondering if the IRIS model can compare to the LOMAC F-15? In general does the IRIS F-15 flight model seem to be quite accurate?Thanks!

Is there a way of changing the brightness value in a cfg file to cut down on the brightness of the landing lights of many aircraft that do NOT have taxi lights?Many aircraft come without taxi lights and the landing lights are too bright to be used for that purpose.Is this a function of a cfg file or is this built into the aircraft's program?

Anyone know how I can point the great little program ScanAfcad to my scenery.cfg file? Since I moved FS9 to another harddrive it won't work.Up the Irons!!

Hi Again, Well after finding out that you do get wingviews with the Overland fleet i had no choice but purchase it and im so happy i did. The thing i am wondering now is if anyone else has done a merge with the PSS panels? I have found a file in the library but this one means you have to put all the Overland files into the PSS folder, which means that all the 772 aircraft will be flying with 772LR aircraft configs. I tried just copying the panel.cfg from PSS to Overland and everything seems fine except for the auto throttle. When this is engaged the throttles instantly go the Max thrust and the only way to stop it is to disengage it therefore not being able to use the …

Hello all,Is Simmarket the only site from which to buy the Overland planes from? I was hoping Flight1 would have them but they dont. The Flight1 wrapper is so *brilliant* that its spoilt me and Im a wee bit reluctant to go elsewhere (see what you have done Flight1!)If Simmarket is the only place....what have your experiences been purchasing from this site? Hello everyone, I currently have a college project that deals with some of the Pros and cons of FTD usage,Flight Training Devices, and I wanted to get some input from those of you who are real world flyers such as me. or that attend any university majoring in any aviation related degrees. Good morning,I am receiving a JIT debugger error when I try to run editvoice pack. It comes back stating that the cordbg.exe cannot debug. Anyone else experienced this? I checked the editvoice pack forums, but they are no longer up and running for FS9. I have removed and reinstalled both .net 1.1 and the SDF framework. Any help appreciated.Best regards,Gmac

Hi,I need some help with steering. When I taxi (using my joystick only for ground steering, I fly with a yoke) in some planes I absolutely have the most difficult time steering and making corners and I usually end up in the grass. It's especially bad with the POSKY 767's. Anyone know how I can fix this? Is there something in the aircraft.cfg that I can edit?Any help is greatly appreciated!Thanks,Matt

I everybody can someone help me? i buy the leveld767 and I was update the airac but i don't have anything sid or stars in my fmc. I go to sidstars section in navdata.at and I download the 767 sid&stars but i dont find where i should put in. in the attached file note the istructions tell me to put the procedures in leveld simulationnavdata folder and overwrite the present file, but in this folder i dont see anythings file to update. can someone help me?

Hello friends,I've noticed that a lot of paved runways in Austria, Greece, & Italy are showing wierd behaviour.For example if Im on the runway at Innsbruck (LOWI) the plane bobs up and down excessively and if I taxi at 8kts or more it gets really out of hand with the nose doing a proper headbanging routine with the shock absorbers going up and down like pistons :(Its like Im driving up and down on little hills!As soon as I get on a taxiway it stops and all is back to normal.http://www.thesmilies.com/smilies/confused0059.gifCan someone please shed some light on this problem..and suggest a fix? No it's not a FS tongue twister LOL....I recently did a complete XP and FS reinstall, then put back all my addons. It took under a day to get back GEPro, UT:USA, UT:EU and Voz.I installed VOZ first, UT, then GEPRo. Now I have Red streams and roads when I UnVoz and activate GEPro to fly in places like, say, Asia or Europe.I know something has gone amiss with a some texture files, does anyone have any expertise in roads and streams? I think the files have been mishandled and are not being put back when the mass copy happens when using the switchers.

Hello everyoneWas wondering if anyone can help me out. I ran into this problem a few times before.Whenever I do a flight from Europe to North America, anywhere from 500miles to the coast of the US my flight-sim just shuts down. No error message nothing. This has happend before and I reinsalled windows along with FS and nothings changed. I do have FSG UTUSA GEPRO AS6. I have the patch for FSG and UTUSA, and I use GEPRO along with AS6. This time I was using the PSS757. Times before I have used LDS and PMDG with the same problemDoes anyone have any Ideas? Comments? Answers? Hi,I have downloaded a fantastic EC135 from the file library, it's about 35MB, and comes complete.my problem is that after switching everything on, and starting it up, I just can't get it off the ground.the generators etc are all on, the engines is on, the rotor is going, and the rpm is fine, and it's in flight mode, not idle.but as soon as I increase the throttle, I see the rpm's drop, and it just makes the engine get less powerful.I'm not overloaded either.I just know I'm missing something, but can't see it.I have checked again to make sure everything is switched on.any help is much appreciated.Thanks.
