when I start flight sim 9 I get a pop-up saying, "You do not have permission to install new files on this computer. Please have an administrator log on to complete scenery installation." I am the administrator of the computer. I can change scenery as I want, but it is annoying to have to deal with this. I have made other admin accounts and get the same thing, Also my ati catalyst control center won't let me change graphic settings because I am not the administrator, but I am.Thanks I hope we can find a solutionAnthony

In the FS9 configuration file there is a line called out as Terrain_Extended_Levels= . In reviewing a number of posts found in both this and the old/new FSX forum I have seen numbers for this line of code as low as 0 and as high as 232. My question is what function does the line support in FS9 and how do you deteremine what is the correct number for your simulator?ThanksTom

Anybody got some idea for some cool flightsim stuff that one absolutly has to have?I already got most of the good planes(pmsg,lds, aeroworx,pss, super80), sceneries(flytampa, cloud9, uk2000, swedflight) , utilities(asv, fsfk, fsbuild, fs2crew, rc4). And yeah....got FSX too.Have I missed something out there?

Aces, why does 'ATC' do this?I am under the distinct impression that the safest way to land is 'upwind'? Or, have I got it wrong?

Bought this the other night and have had some fun with it. external model is great, though Im a little disappointed in the specular shine and use of alpha channels. Bare metal should shine more. I can fix that... :-)What I am interested in however is whether anybody will take a shot at fixing the flight model? The alphasim release is extremely tame for an airplane thats KNOWN to be a little hard to fly for a trainer. Hi gang,I recently had to re-install my HDD and now I am in the process of getting the US Airways/AWE AI plans installed. The only place for this and United is the old MRAI installer. I used it before with the Evolve AI files and it worked great. This time, it wont see the A319's!Any ideas???

Is there ANY PLACE to get United and US Airways/America West AI packages at? I would think that by now SOMEONE would have created a package...I had to give up on my MARI and PAI installers since MRAI woudl not "see" the A319's or the B767. Any freeware or even *gulp* payware packages out there?Anyone???

Hi all,I have got a legal question. I'm working on a freeware scenery in which I also want to depict signs with company names such as car rental companies and hotels. Can I do that without asking the companies for permission? The reason I ask is that there are appearantly lawers here in Germany who make a killing by searching for copyrighted material that is used on private web pages and then demanding huge sums from the owners of these sites if they failed to ask the companies for permission. On a side note: There are plans to make a law here to protect the web page creators from outrageous fees.Thanks for any input,Matthias
