Good evening, I have a question regarding this scenery: How are FPS at LatinVFRs KSNA especially with "Scenery cast shadows" on. Background: I own some sceneries at which I experience extreme low FPS with shadows on; unfortunately two of them are by LatinVFR. I know that it is recommended to switch shadows off in the manuals of these sceneries, but I like to have one configuration for my simulator with all sceneries. Thanks for writing your experiences! Everytime when i install new Virtual Cockpit texture in almost every pay addon,textures turn to blurry.Strange things is that the left side of cockpit is blurried but right isn't.Haven't this problem before it appeared few months ago.

I just got a email from DBOAviation saying they updated their payware Soekarno-Hatta airport scenery to v.1.1. Does anyone know if this update is for FS9 or FSX? Or both? Also if the update is for FS9 does anyone know what exactly in the scenery was updated? I tried sending them a email asking this question, but the email kept getting sent back to me.

Just wondering which commercial jet add on you guys think is the best looking? It's been years since I flew the CLS 747-200/300. I installed it last night and did a flight. I was blown away by the VC and exterior model for an FS9 add on. The VC lighting is super. So retro and nostalgic. I think this is the best looking plane I have so far. The PMDG MD-11 is also superb. What's your pick?

Hello to all I open this post to tribute, first of all, to my hometown (Legnano, NW Italy) telling something within Flight Simulation 2004 and, even if, imagining the interest is limitated ... to my countrymen. It is a first scenery very "amateur", posted in 2011 (legnano_v1, AVSim library); it is mainly realized with the Generic Building System also using some existing objects. Positioning is approximate, made on elevation standard FS9 and related terrain. It is certainly not a mesterpiece, but only a small gift of a scenery-maker amateur for his own town. greetings :wink: Aldo

Originally when i loaded new addon scenery to the scenery library Flight Simulator 9 was the default heading in the Select Scenery Directory window & from the drop down box i selected Addon Scenery etc. Recently my default heading has changed to Documents which requires several more steps to reach FS9. How can i retrieve FS9 as my default heading please? [My Desktop PC system is Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.]

Good evening, got this annoying problem only in the VC of the Wilco E Jets...I am running FS9 with Rex textures and SweetFx..i use Nvidia inspector to enhance the quality also..i have tried lots of settings in either FS9 and Inspector but the problem is not fixed.. my pc specs: Windows 7 64 bit Core I5 3.4 ghz Nvidia 640gt Ssd hd i suspect the videocard is the bottleneck and i might replace it with an Nvidia 750ti... you guys think that this problem may be fixed with that new videocard? Hello. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me how to make an stock airport inactive in FS9. KECP has replaced KPFN and uses some of the same freqs, etc. I have installed "kecpv0112.zip" from the library but KPFN still exists. KECP also has no freqs assigned to it and says AFX was used to put things together. I haven't used AFX and am not sure how to add the freqs to the file. (If anyone wants to take that on and let me know that would be great).

Hello. I'm hoping someone might be able to point me in a direction to track down an issue that has come up with multiple panels in FS9. It seems that in a few aircraft the 2D panel is no longer visible. Only the virtual cockpit shows anything. (Which as far as I can tell looks fine.) Panel, and gauges, for different planes were installed again from a system where they work okay but nothing has changed. Does anyone have an idea as to where to begin to look for what might be causing this? It's kind of strange. To me at least. Thanks very much!

Having recently returned to the UK, descending over the Channel, I am always amazed by the amount shipping that is chugging around beneath me. I then realised how much more fulfilling and immersive my Flightsim experience would be if there were a large number of AI ships in FS9. I paid a visit to Fs Shipyards which although appears to be an excellent site, does not seem to cater for complete packages such as an Fs Traffic or Ultimate Traffic. I am asking for the impossible or do packages exist that I could get my hands on. Any pointers would be much appreciated. RegardsTristan

I use the freeware TDS P-8A Poseidon and the E-7A Wedgetail. I want to replace the default 737 panel that comes with the plane with something else. Can anyone recommend a good 737-700 panel (for the Wedgetail) and a good 737-800 panel (for the Poseidon)? Thanks.

Hi, I have flown these a/c for years and never noticed this before. Has something just got corrupted or do all the a/c have this? It's something to do with the landing lights (there's one on the other side too), but why is there this detached object (it's not connected to the plane) floating just below the wing? How might I fix it? It's in all a/c, all models... Removing the [Lights] section from the aircraft.cfg files didn't remove it (I didn't expect that it would). Hello FS9ers, My friend sold me his boxed copies of the PSS Concorde and 777. The installer seem to run fine until near the end of it when a message popped up. It notified me that access to write several DLL files in my System32 folder was denied. Then it asked if I still wanted to continue. I clicked yes and the planes got installed into FS9. When I enter the VC or 2D cockpit, the gauges are off or not displaying properly. I'm guessing they need those DLL files. I ran the installer as administrator. This has never happened before with any add on. Any help greatly appreciated. Win7/Phenom II/GTX560/8g DDR3

Hello. Quite some time ago there used to be some tools out there that would allow you to find installed gauge files that went with a particular panel. If I remember correctly, though, they didn't work all that great. Or maybe it was just me. Can anyone tell me if there is a more updated utility somewhere that does this task? I have a couple of specific panels I'd like to possibly remove and would like to get all of the necessary files that go with it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I know that UT is a 'vector call' product, that will properly have FS9 call graphics such as water bodies, roads, etc to their proper positions and placements. Now here's the question...is a vector product such as UT, or Pilot's Vector that can also alter the way graphic tiles and elements are displayed within your sim, because of what is needed to be called up and rendered, or is that ONLY the pervue of a land class product such as G.E., or OpenLC (for ORBX usage) to have a certain tile rendered at the x/y position of view? Just wondering if having the vector layer installed, has any bearing on what landclass will be dominant at live-time, point-of-view...

I have been away from Flight Simulation for about three years. When I first fired up the simulator everything was just as had last used it three years ago. Everything ran fine, textures were what I considered perfect, I had no issues. But, I couldn't leave things alone. Since I had some minor surgery on my ankle and my movements where somewhat limited I again started into the heavy usage of the program. I wanted to be as real as I could be, but I needed to get back up to speed. So I ran a couple of flights and got my bearings again. For my textures I was running Ground Environment 1, but I also had a copy of Ground Environment Pro II. I elected to uninstall GE1…

Hi All Please help ! Yesterday I defragged my harddrive after a cleanup and now my previously smooth FS9 with PMDG747 + Active Sky + Radar contact + UK2000 Heathrow is so slow and jerky its unusable. My framerate has been reduced to single figures......I had it locked at 33FPS and it would hit that no problem even with "everything running" What has happened ? Hello, I've had this bird for a few years, and not flown it for awhile. Decided to take it for a quick spin, and adjusted the load with paxloader utility before starting flight sim. The cg with the paxloader facility was dead center, but after starting flight sim and clicking on fuel and payload to adjust the fuel, I noticed that the cg position was way north of center (outside the limits). Adjusted the fuel and payload within flight sim, but the cg indicator seems to be stuck (not moving with any variations with the loading). Tried all sorts of loading configurations, but no luck. Can anyone shed any ideas regarding fixing the cg position, maybe somewhere in the airc…

Just browsing SimMarket when I noticed a new FS2004 scenery - Pasco Tri-Cities Airport v2 KPSC - by the above author. It has been a long time since I have seen such a poor payware airport ... over 13 Euros. I value any author supporting FS2004 and wish to encourage any new endeavour however IMHO this is worse than most freeware. Also it seems that the only way to contact the author is after purchase. The listing of this product, I believe, also reflects poorly on SimMarket. Sales must indeed be tough at the moment. I hate to be negative but ...
