hey guyzz i have fs9.. it ran all fine ... i have installed many payware addons but suddenly it started to lag i have nice gaming pc but... i have also used the addons in fs9 it worked fine but after a few weeks it started to lag can you help me ???

I am not in the UK and using a Dell XPS M1730 'gaming' laptop (+XP x64) to run FS9 whilst I am abroad. Once upon a time, it ran everything fine, but the past week or two I have been getting depressingly low frame rates. Can anyone advise? If I start FS9 in windowed mode, as a small 'box' in the centre of the screen (just large enough to read the onscreen data), I get almost 30fps, where the frame rate is locked. If I then maximise, still in windowed mode, this drops to about 14fps, and then down to about 10fps in Full Screen mode. This is at an out-of-the-box FS9 airport with the default Cessna. I have installed the sound enhancements 2013 on my comptuer and when I load up the airbus in fsx and hit fly now I get a DirectSoundError:Error opening wav file SimOjects/Airplanes/Aerosoft Airbus X Extended Base/Sound_ASC/ASC_Avionics_Low Wav! It when I hit okay it keeps going on with more sound errors listed and then CTD. Anybody have this occur before and if so is there a fix? I should mention I also just installed FS2Crew Voice but I wouldn't think that would have to do with anything.

Hello guyz, I have the PMDG 747-400 for FS9 and when doing long distance flights on 8x time compression i noticed that my hard disk space was getting lesser nd lesser. Can anyone explain this anomaly.Any info or help is appreciated. Swap17

Interesting "problem" gentlemen ..... All of a sudden, the exterior "Blinky" lights (anti-collision, strobes, etc.) on ALL of my aircraft are flashing at an extremely rapid rate. It looks like I'm flying at 16X or 32X speed .... although I have checked and double-checked that possibility. I have absolutely no idea where the "blinky" rate is controlled. I'm "inside the cockpit" 99% of the time, so it's definitely not a deal breaker. I'm more curious as to what might have happened and what parameters control this. FYI: All other flashing lights in the sim (airport/beacons, etc.) act perfectly normal. Just the blinkies on ALL of my aircraft. Strange .... but true.…

Does anyone know where I can get the manual for the Project Airbus A380 or does it even exist? I need to figure out how to manipulate the NAV/GPS function so I can do an ILS approach. I was able to get the aircraft to fly the GPS route but no luck on capturing the ILS for a hands off approach to short final. After hitting the 'APPR' button the aircraft will turn to capture the localizer but will not follow the glide slope down to the runway. Thanks in advance for any help with this.

Hello everybody! Thanks god (and AVSIM) for this forum! I'm very happy to see so many people still loving good old FS9. And I know people here (and on a very few other great sites) are very knowledgeable about this sim. Personally I enjoy FS9 even more than 10 years ago. Underway my scenery.cfg grew up to more than 1.500 entries. Hundreds of aircrafts were tested. Wonderful freeware and expensive payware came up. Hey, How are you. I have a question for everybody. I need major help out there for the Airsimmer 320 CTD's and freezes and things like that. Yesterday, I purchased the plane on Flight1.com I installed the latest 1.4 version. I have FS9.1, with many famous add-on planes and sceneries. I have Active Camera and registered 3.99 FSUIPC. Everything is bought and not pirated. I installed everything and with administrator privileges (Since i Have WIN 7/64BIT) I tried flying the plane. The plane is beautiful, i like the VC animations the plane itself. HOWEVER, I cannot pass CTDS and freezes. The plane gives me many ntdll.dll and MSVCR80.dll crashesh when I execute a route in FMGC …

Long story cut short, I have lost my CDs. I have a 32 bit system, and on that HDD I have FS2004 installed and working. If I were to copy and paste the entire FS2004 folder into Program Files (x86) (New 64-bit HDD PC) and bring over the FS2004 registry, would this work? Would I have to tweak the registry? Cheers.

I have recently discovered some of my Texas airports are gone. San Antonio & all the ones around are gone. Austin is still there. I am trying to figure out where on the FS2004 disc is the right files. I know the scenery files are on disc 4. I really do not want to do a full install. Any help would be appreciated.

Many years ago, I got hold of a Hurricane that had a very ghostly skin, with all the internal workings showing (in green), including all the wing formers etc. I just cannot remember where I found this. It flies in FS9, but I'm sure it was for an older version. Any ideas, or anything similar? Many thanks, Robin

Help!...I'm a prisoner of FS9...and can't seem to get out, LOL! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I just finished downloading and installing all of Flight Ontario's great offerings...and am especially enjoying touch and go's at Cranbrook, B.C. The airport is so well done, but better yet...the updated scenery around the airport...simply fabulous. It was made with UT Canada/Alaska (in mind and installed), and...so very, very real looking. Some mountains still have a slight snow crusting...and as I flew my approach in the Eclipse 500, it was so very immersing. Gawd...I haven't flown anything (another sim) else for …

I found a FS9 freeware airport scenery of Tamworth airport in Australia made by OrbX/Voz. I followed the install instructions, but everytime I try to load the airport my sim crashes. Does anyone who has this scenery know what could be wrong?? The default FS9 Tamworth works fine. I did install the scenery into a dummy folder before installing into my sim, so maybe that is what is causing the crashes?? H, I wanted to ask if someone know a programm (Payware or Freeware) which adds 3d grass (Volumetric gras) to the whole FS9. Many Airports for FSX and also some in FS9 have volumetric gras. Hi all: I just completed installing FS9 on my new rig (4790k 4.4/NVidia 970/Win7 Pro). All went well. However I find in flying that the pop up windows like FMS on all my aircraft do not work. Touching the click spot or shift+ gets no response at all. Seems to be that way for all aircraft. I have UAC turned off and run FS9 as administrator. I have FS9 installed in it's own folder outside Program Files. I'd appreciate any ideas on this problem. Thanks

This is so simple it's almost not worth posting... but it may save some folks a lot of time! In FS9, as you will be aware, you have to close down the sim and restart it to show any effects from changed bgl files. With all my AI a/c it was taking a full two minutes to load up each time: testing out bgl files could take half an evening!! So, I renamed the main FS9 'Aircraft' folder to 'AircraftXXX' and created a new folder called Aircraft containing only the default Cenna 172. Now, when I restart FS9 it takes literally just a few seconds to be up and ready.. a great difference and a huge time-saver when you have to do it a dozen or more times to locate a problem bgl…
