How many FS9ers are using AES with textured ground vehicles?

Hi All, I've posted at DeltaVirtual and Flightsim, posting here to ensure I can get as much support as I can. I just got a new system. Dell XPS 8700 Intel i7-4790 @ 3.6GHz Turboboost 4.0 GHz NVIDIA GTX 745 16GB DDR3 RAM 1TB SATA HDD I put FS9 on it a few days before, and did two flights the next day, with a whole host of addons and programs and whatnot. Barely ever went below 40 FPS The day after, I did a flight after restarting the computer and the framerate would not climb above 30 - 35 no matter what. Not sure what's going on. It worked before. I did a fresh install a few months ago, but left the brakes assigned to a button on my yoke. Today, I wanted to set up the toe brakes and it won't let me reverse the axis. I click on the check box and the red check mark shows up. As soon as I click anywhere else, it goes away. If I reverse the right toe brake, the check mark shows up, then when I click the box to reverse the left toe brake, the check mark on the right toe disappears. Weird. Any help greatly appreciated.

Hello All for years now I have used the very useful little program 'Fuel loader' (available here at Avsim) but it has developed a problem...its this.... Every time I use the program to fuel up my aircraft ...an example the default is 100% and I want 70% I input the 70 % and it remains at that figure for a few seconds ,but then reverts back to 100% Nothing I have tried will stop this irritating behaviour. I have tried unin/rein the prog...no joy. I have tried system restore........no joy. I have deleted the cfg and let fs9 build a new one .No joy I have tried the fs9 registry reset just in case ......No joy. I reset the assignments to default..........No bugg==in…

I've got a fairly decent PC and my distant scenery appears as a straight line of nothing until you get close to the edge of it then it refreshes but still forms in blocks. This never happened with my crummy old PC. I've tried all kinds of things, it's doing my nut in. Anyone got any genius suggestions? By the way I've read most of the tips pages both here and on other websites, I must be doing something obviously wrong

When I purchased the FFS Saab 340 a couple years ago, I never downloaded the painkit because they had so many liveries already done (most of which I downloaded), however as fate would have it, they are now defunct and I have the need to do a couple of repaints that weren't available before they went under! (especially since I now have it working in FSX) :( Does anyone have a copy of the paint kit? Or maybe know of a place to download it?Any help would be graciously appreciated!Thanks!Alex

I have an aircraft that the main gear doesn't sit on the surface of the runway. Is there a way to fix this?

If you love flying in Ontario, using FS9...you really need to download this total LandClass product for the whole Province of Ontario...and be careful to read the instructions...and to set the layers in the proper order and placement within the Scenery Library. I am running a custom mix of world terrain files...and thought it looked good in Ontario. Well...not as good apparently, without my custom mix of world ground textures files being directed by this great and total LandClass product for Ontario! to the FS9 Gurus.... Where would the best position be for any MESH files, within the Scenery Library. I have them basically below all other custom files, but wonder if this is the best place for them. Any opinions? Thanks,

We are looking at upgrading our PC, as we have been running Fs2004 on quite an old but good desktop PC for a while now but we are torn between two choices and wonder if anyone could aid us in our decision. The first PC is a Acer aspire TC-705 i7-4790 Quad core 3.6GHz 8gb, memory 12gb, graphics AMD Radeon R7-740 2gb And the second is a Asus M51BC Amd fx8300 processor 3.3GHz 8GB, memory 12gb, graphics AMDRadeon R9 255 2gb. I would like to hear any opinions on these pc's, particularly on how well fs2004 is reproduced on them, as this is all that we use use it for. I understand there must be some limitations as to how good that the game will get as it was created so…

Hi guys, I purchased the PSS 777 not too long ago and realized that the only lights that work on the aircraft are the Logo and Panel light. Everything else is not turning on for me. I have checked on several forums but never found a fix for the issue. Thanks for helping! William

I am flying MSFS 2004 on a Vista 32 PC. A strange and annoying thing happens EVERY TIME I close down FS after a normal flight. I get a message that says "Microsoft Flight Simulator has stopped working. Windows is looking for a solution to the problem". Almost never have gotten this message during flying but every time after I close down the program. Anyone have a thought on this - why it would be happening after I close down? Thanks, Al

FS9 with weather handled by Active Sky Evolution: I was enroute from KMYR (Myrtle Beach, SC) to CYYZ (Pearson, Toronto) at a cruising altitude of FL330, when just about over KROA, I immediately without warning, (and still on AutoPilot) was losing altitude at over 4,000 FPM! At around FL240, I got the 737-700 into level flight, and reengaged the A.P. Set her for a 1,500 fpm climb, and got back up to my assigned FL330. Wow...what a rush...this was with ASE injecting the weather. I had no idea that severe downdrafts were modeled into ASE! This was a first, and a lot of unsettled air, haze, etc between KMYR and CYYZ today.... Immersive? YOU BET! :blush:…

Hi I had to reboot windows and lost all my settings for FS2004 I have reinstalled wilco airbus a320 and a330 but I dont seem to have the correct weight values as the aircraft climbs quite quick, even with a full load Does anyone have a config with the corect weights and fuel? I just copied the model and textures into the feelthere a330 folder for the merge (as I did before I rebooted) Thanks

I wondered if anyone might be able to tell me what each of the numbers does in a typical wingview configuration, so that i can alter them to fit all of my planes. Hi there, i just tried the Flight1 Cessna 172R on my FS2004. I follow the described procedures and also looked at some 172R Videos on Youtube, where the fuel pump was clearly audible. But i cannot hear the fuel pump in the Flight1 Cessna 172 (although according to the Instruments, the fuel pump works). Is this a bug on my Installation or is the Sound simply not simulated? I'd like to hear of your experiences. Do YOU hear the fuel pump on this simulated aircraft? Thanks in advance Bodo

This is on my FS 9 computer ... the specs are in my sig, but they won't let you post it ... I guess you can access it. I have no control over the throttle. I have the analog CH Product throttle and combat stick hooked together and hooked into a Manhattan gameport to USB adapter. The game sees the sticks and the computer sees it too. It just when out on me while I was flying a Bell 206B Jet Ranger. When I go into the joystick assignments and use the slider on the throttle it responds but not during flight. I tried flying a fix wing craft with the same results no throttle control at all. Everything else works fine. Anyone else having this or had this problem???

I don't fly 747s all that often and when I do it's usually the beautiful PMDG version, but I have a few liveries I like in other models too - Posky, Meljet, as well as the default FS2004 plane. Can anyone recommend a panel for these? I have searched in vain for something that I really like. It could be payware also.. I would like a functioning overhead panel, and a CDU would be good, even if not up to PMDG's standards! There are 54 results in the AVSIm library for 747-400 under panel: rather than try out so many, does anyone know of a good-looking one (with the the overhead panel)? For my Taiwan International airport scenery I use the El Formosa series scenery found here in the library. In that scenery there is a static 737-200 and a blank A300, is there a way to remove theses planes? I looked for a file with static in the name but there wasn't any.
