I have FSGlobal 2008 and Holger Sandmann's Columbia River Gorge Scenery installed in FS9. FSGlobal has 76m resolution for this area and Holger's scenery has 38m and 19m in this area.Which one should have priority over the other in the scenery library? Should Holger's scenery be above FSGlobal (top priority at the moment) or does it make a difference?Also, should I set TERRAIN_MAX_VERTEX_LEVEL all the way to 21 since there is 19m mesh (Mount St. Helens) in Holger's scenery? I have two Captain Sim aircraft, the C-130 & 727 exterior, which I really do like.When it comes to a flight sim product, I only buy what I see now. For instance, when an FS9 plane is offered with a free FSX update sometime in the future; I don't count on getting the update as a "required" part of the deal. Sometimes, crap happens, and the update may never be seen.For all I know, Captain Sim might not even have the required and experienced staff these days, to complete the specific blocks including the FMC. I have the Simwings scenery of Barcelona and when I start at that airport my FS9 crashes. Any ideas why it would crash? already checked for double AFCADs and didn't find any.This is the only airport this happens at.

I have a problem with all the LCD displays on my panels. All of them shows up without any LCD digits, as in the following picture shows. The engines are running and generators are hooked up, but no displays. Any clues except reinstall the whole FS? Thanks

Sometimes when I am flying in FS9, my keyboard starts acting weirdly. For instance when I push the back arrow on the numeric keypad, instead of getting the back view of the aircraft, I get a side view. Thats not all, sometimes after slowing down one of my two engines, I cannot get control of my other engine using E+1or2. Also the are many other functions which stop working properly. The only I can fix it fight now is by resetting defaults. That as you can imagine is inconvinient since I lose my own personal settings. Hopefully someone can help me out with this...Somehow I've managed to install a file which is causing moving yellow dots to display on all roadways at night. I'm assuming these are supposed to be headlights. For regular roads this wouldn't be a problem. Unfortunately, it's also displaying the same dots on the service roads of my airports, which looks terrible. Does anyone know what file I need to delete to resolve this problem? My airports are looking like tracer bullets are flying all around. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi,Got a question. Maybe some of you recognise this little problem. At daytime in my Overland Airbus VC, the gauges are difficult to read. The text has jagged edges. But at nighttime, when the cabin lights are on (the lightmaps of the plane illuminate automatically on a time when it's dark and officially 'night') then the text in the gauges are very well readeable. How come?For the record, I have the latest drivers of NVidia. And the problem doesn't occur with the Boeing VC's of Overland. After nearly 3 weeks of CTD's near Liege, Belgium - I've discovered that Winter is the problem, if I change the season to any other I don't get a CTD? Question is, does anyone know where, in fs9, I can correct this problem. Last resort is a re-install!!Ken

Hi All, I've just recently downloaded the kjfkv5.zip file for the KJFK airport, and am noticing a small issue (well, major if your in anything larger then a baron). I typically fly a Dash 8 based aircraft out of this airport, I'm using FSPassengers and that's currently all I am qualified to fly. I start at stand #223 and begin my taxi procedures and such from there. When I receive clearance for my IFR flight, and 31L is one of the active runways, I am normally directed to this runway. The issue is that I am directed to taxi via P PA, this in fact leads me to the opposing end of the runway such that I only have maybe 600 feet or so of take off room. It does NOT lead me …

Hi. I downloaded Edward Cox's pssa320ed.zip yesterday & it all works except the main panel in the forward view is blank. I've d/l'd it twice but it's always blank. If you have this particular bitmap that's OK I'd be grateful if you would pass it on to me, or advise about a remedy or something. Hi,I'm trying to write a C++ program to use for flight planning, and I need the program to extract information from BGL files in FS2004 (and perhaps FSX).I've been searching for hours, and I've found a lot of comments indicating that many people know how to programmatically extract BGL information. There are several utilities that extract BGL information, so I know it's possible.Unfortunately, I can't find anything that says how to do it, or points to any BGL file format specifications, or source code examples.If anyone can point me to any useful information on how to read BGL files, I would greatly appreciate it.Phil

Oh! What a tangled Web? I find the Forums an invaluable resource for information and assistance in getting FS9 to perform above and beyond its default parameters. But when it comes to the Good ole FS9.cfg file, there seems to be an over abundance of information. Some of it GOOD, some of it BAD, but all of it different. A lot of info comes from experienced scenery and aircraft developers. And even more from Joe Blows that give numbers others say is well out side, over or below the parameters Microsoft set for the file in the first place. Hi all! Long time I have had a problem with screens in FS (like Multiplayer Chat, Squawkbox etc.). I have now reinstalled FS9 on my new computer. Based on comments from others I expected that I could max out most slider and have a smooth ride. Computer is C2D E6850 OC'd to 4Ghz, water cooled. 8800GT 512 card and 2Gigs ram. Windows XP.Basically I have applied most of the suggested tweaks and the sim does look great but I go get pauses when panning or turing in flight. I also see different colored blue squares on the oceans.
