Anyone has experience with the new Simcharts? I ordered last Saturday online and only got the confirmation mail, but shouldn't there be a mail with a download for the program as well? Looks like they're on holidays...Happy new year!Andreas

Hi Folks- Is there a way of adding additional textures to the texture list when constructing "aprons" in AFCAD. I checked through the help files but can't find a way to do it.Regards, Ken

Hello, I have been enjoying FS9 for some time...but have run into a snag, Went and bought a 22 inch Acer 'Widescreen' gaming monitor. Now the panels are stretched and the gauges appear oblong. The height looks ok..but the width is far from correct. Is there a fix for this? Also I will be installing FSX onto my new system once its completed. Does FSX suffer from the same stretch effect and oblong gauges? Thanks,

Hi all, This may have been covered before, and if so, please just direct me to that discussion, but I'm looking for a way to meld the cockpit (including panel and VC) onto another similar aircraft... most specifically, I'd like to place the I-Fly 747 cockpit onto the new 747-8i by Andy Roesch. Now, I know enough to know that you can't just copy and paste the panel folder, though that will make the panel itself mostly functional aside from some big glitches, but is there a real process that will allow for the compatibility of these two pieces?Please let me know,Thanks

I recently upgraded from a Dell 8400 XP SP2 to a Dell XPS-420 with VISTA Home Premium OS.After installing and setting up FS9 without any addons, I ran FS9 using the Boeing 737-400, which resulted in the screen going black and message: Microsoft Flight Simulator has stopped working; Windows will notify if a fix is available; then back to the desktop ( no fix available notice). I tried running FS9 using varied aircraft, some flew others crashed.Any suggestions appreciated.Intel Quad CPU Q6600@ 2.40GHzNVIDA GeForce 512 8800GT3GB Ram

Since FSNav is being discontinued, I would like to find another app performing the same purpose (planning and route calculation) Upon looking at other apps I found none that support a small view that can be seen inflight such as FSNav.The only reason I would not stick with FSNav is that it has outdated SID/STAR and Airway info and an inconvenient interface.I am not sure if there are other apps that are like FSNav in that they connect directly to the autopilot. This is one of the biggest features of FSNav that I want in another app.I also need something that runs on FSX as I may soon be upgrading :)

Hello and happy new year! I have IgFly's Moscow Global Scenery and Moscow photoreal from avsim.ru installed. I wonder does anyone know which files I need to delete from Moscow Global Sceneryscenery -folder to make these sceneries compatible? Now I have some landmarks twice and so on. There was a list about these files but I can't find it anymore. :(

Without going in to advanced detail folks my throttles on all planes including payware have started acting very strangely. The levers are jittering around 34% and will not increase using Saitek Pro Throttle,keyboard or dragging by mouse. Things had been great for a long time. Any ideas what this could be or am I facing the dreaded reinstall. Sometimes I can get the PIC 737 to increase power but then reverse thrust comes on at 50%. have tried calibrating through FSUIPC but no luck so far (find it quite complicated)Bill

FS9/ PMDG series all 737 types.Autothrottle does not arm gives message 'A/T FIRST'; as suggested tried everything does not work.Please help.

I initially programed a fl330, after awhile I wanted to step to fl350. I typed in the new cruise alt on the crz page, then climed to 35000'. when i punched up the prog. page, it was on the des mode. How could climing to a higher alt. cause the DES page to appear, I could no longer go back to the Crz page.I hope that makes scense?Dave F.

Hi there,This is my first post. I have been flying FS9 for years and have never encountered this issue. When i am lined up with the runway i set my heading indicator to match the magnetic hdg of the rwy. The only problem is its 20 degrees off. So for example at SEA i will line up on 34r and the rwy will be 20 to the left on the fms. This is with any plane I use, PMDG, Wilco, LDS ect. Whe I am flying i am aslo 20 degrees off of the airway. I dont know what happened to cause this. I have downloaded the latest ariac(711) but nothing seems to work. Any feedback would be great.thanks,will

Hi Guys The UK is on GMT during winter but my FS2004 shows London (Local) Time as GMT plus one hour which is British Summer Time. My PC System Clock is set correctly. Can I tweak FS9 so that in London Local and GMT time is the same?Thanks in anticipationDavid

I have a problem with the Coolsky Super80.In the 2D panel I can see the speedbugs in the airspeed indicator, but in the VC panel not speedbugs. Can You help Me ?

anyone know about how pilots train for commerical airlines? what i want to know about is what goes on as far as landing practice. like how much time or how many flights do they practice for manual and auto-pilot landings. how about wind training...like crosswind, headwind and tailwind landings and plain old boring no wind good weather landings? how much time is spent in their hi-dollar commerical simulators. i know probably most is done in the simulator but how much time is spent in the real aircraft?oh yea don't forget low visibility landings. william

Everything is running smooth but I see for a half second purple and white boxes/flashes while panning in the VC and spot view in the outside world...What is causing this and how can I get rid of it...Happy landings.

On my FS9 the PAPI lights don't work on all Australian airports but everywhere else they do. does anyone else have that same problem and knows if it is fixable?? thanks

I hope someone can advise.I have the above addon and also ut usa.When I switch to the top down view in fs9 the textures of flightzone portland dont seem to be compatible with the surrounding landscape.I have portland above ut usa in the scenery config. file.Am I doing something wrong.Regards,dimitri.

Hey all, does fs9 support multi-monitors? I have a 28" monitor as my primary and a 17" as my secondary and fs9 does not allow me to drag radio stacks or a gps or a new view etc to the other monitor. FSX seems to allow this ok for me without issue now that i figured out how to do it but fs9 wont see the 2nd monitor. I also get a ton of shimmering because there is no AF (filtering) being applied as per the driver profile. I am using the latest and buggiest drivers that nvidia has unleashed on us to date so i am starting to think that maybe these drivers just prevet the game from taking advantage of a multi monitor setting in the profile? I was on Final for TNCM St Marteen, when I heard ATC giving clearance to Number seven (7). Later examination showed this to be St Barth Commuter, flight 7. I did have this livery for a BN Norman, and Ut does have the flight plan, but I can't seem to locate the Voice mod. Anybody got it or know where I can get it.Bill :-violin

Hello everyone,I downloaded a good KC-135 for Fs2004, I'm very proud of it. I was wondering if there is a freeware utility that simulates in-air refuelling? I was flying with a buddy on multiplayer and I wanted to actually see the fuel on my fighter go up as we were docked together. Hi, I have just started playing fs9 on my new 8800gts card, however when you set the mip-map to anything above 4 the ground textures start bluring and going fuzzy. I can have everything else maxed out and its all fine. Bad thing is mip-map set to 4 looks bad!I have latest nvidia drivers, have tried older ones, have tried guru3d ones but nothing works. Card is better in fsx!Anyone else had this problem?

I've been unable to trace the cause of fs9 CTD's; in trying to sort the problem out, I have succeeded in making things 10 times worse!!So I've decided I need to clear out fs9 and associated folders from my 'G' Partition, then replace fs9 from a backup DVD that I made on the 11th, December 2007; before the CTD problem. I'm happy with that decision, so far!?My problem is, I don't know how to go about doing that. The 'G' Partition only contains fs9 and associated folders and nothing else. Can I just reformat that Partition or do I remove whatever I can via Add/Remove then delete the rest? The Backup was made using PowerQuest Drive Image 7, so replacement should be a 'dodd…
