Hello all, Well, finally have the new Asus Maximus MB, and QX9650 and 8800GTS 512 in great working order, using FS9 it just flies . . .unbelievable 150 FPS when set on unlimited with a minor OC of 3.45GHz and the thing isn't even breathing hard....a temp of 35C with FS9 on full load with full sliders and Level D 767 in the air over Boston V2 scenery.(that is the ASUS prob taking the temp.The puter works great, and everything is just as Intel, Asus and EVGA intended and designed, however there is one problem which is bugging me.I have tried to reinstall all my Mega Scenery, (all on CD/DVD and I have all of their offerings, (so it is considerable to loss if I do) and when I…

I noticed that the Learjet 25D by Lars Roennig has had a huge number of downloads. I downloaded it and it looks nice with an easy panel to use and great sounds. But why is it so popular? Since the AVSIM community has downloaded it so many times, am I missing something here?Airbus

One thing I enjoy in FS9 are wingviews from a passenger's perspective (something I now have set up in virtually all my addon commercial aircraft). To that end, I now consider wingviews and flexing wings as a mandatory feature of any aircraft I download (I sure wish the beautiful Kittyhawk 737-200's had it!) I have noticed how wingflex effects have changed, if not improved, over time on several manufacturers' aircraft.I am, however, torn between some of the latest wingflex effects and some of the slightly earlier ones. For example, Posky's V4 747's (which I love) now have wingflex effects that respond to turbulence, unlike their V3 747's. Yet, (at least some of the) V3 747…

I've just downloaded the flight1 Cessna 172 and very lovely it is too, but there are 2 problems with it.1. In VC mode there is no intereior scenery for l/r/rear views. Is there supposed to be?2. Configuration magager will not run. What is it for and why won't it run.Thanks,Paul

Hello Alli recently managed to sort out my FFX 737 night lighting and greyed out pilots problem (Thanks Lee Wang),but now i am having similar problems with the newer Vista liners versions.Today i downloaded the Vista liners Southwest airlines 737-500 plus night lighting file from Avsim Hoorah! cabin lights at night,however The pilots are still grey.I tried using the MD83 file from my FFXs (file ungreys pilots in FFX)but it dosn't work in the VistaLiners version.Any help please.cheers Andy

I find myself with a little downtime right now. My usual Sim flying Area is Florida and the Caribbean. With Freeflow Florida and Freeflow Bahamas, the Eye Candy is sweet to behold. But nevertheless, been there, done that! I have also covered the East coast of the U.S. pretty much. I thought I might check out the middle of the country before heading into the mountain time zone. I see some really detailed mesh and photo scenery being developed for the area(freeware of course). So up from Sunny Florida to Hotlanta, into Nashville for an Overnight. I have the a340 panel designed by FSpanelstudios (the one that has over 40,000 downloads on AVSIM) and it's a great panel. But the altitude horn is going to cause the breakup of my family! I've searched all the sound files I can think of but can't find this thing to delete it. Does anyone know which file this is? I've looked in the FS Sound directory and also the A340 sub sound directory that comes with the panel but it still eludes me. Thanks for anything you can tell me.

When it comes to payware i have always purchased aircraft add-on. I would never see myself pay to make my sim look good, I always told myself that systems are what im paying for( How blind i was).Anyways now i told myself that I have an aircraft payware in every category for my flying and now want to enhance the looks of the sim. The only non aircraft add-on I have is activesky, so now im wondering what would you recommend as an enhancer, something that's a good bang for my buck so to speak. I really want to make my sim look good but for the time being i can only invest in one payware program for now(fatherly duty lol).So what would you recommend?Thank you very much.P.S …

SO I loaded up the default 737 and was about to start a flight when I remembered there was something on TV that I wanted to watch. SO I got up and left the sim run.Come back 1.5hrs later and the plane is in the terminal... :(Well, half in / half out. Throttles were at idle, parking brake set, none the less I seemed to have creeped forward about a plane length in an hour and a half.Maybe I need to have a chat with the mechanics? x(

I've installed into the Carenado Cessna Skylane 182 RG II, Eric Fjellstedt's retrofit, the Reality XP Flight Line 430 and the Flight Line T gages. Everything works fine except for the database; the 430's initialize each time with the Intrntnl IFR database. I can change it to the Americas but would like to make the change permanent. I've saved the flight with the Americas but that does not save the database with it. I need some help.Thanks.Russ

There is a small building located on the KTEX runway in my FS9. This may have been added froman add-on scenery or from the default. How can I remove this object from the runway?

All,I have something strange happening. All my AI is torn up like taxiing birds are half aircraft and the ones in flight are vertical! I have never seen this before. An attached screen shot shows the CRJ-700 that just took off in front of me. All AI planes are vertical in flight. I uninstalled Vista SP1 Beta two days ago in anticipation of the official SP1 forthcoming from Microsoft through auto update. There were no errors during the uninstall process but this is the only thing I have done to my system since last time I flew when all AI was normal. Any ideas? Please don't tell me I need to reinstall FS9. I have way too many tweaks applied to do that...

I would like to know where the military planes park at the airport (I know there is a military ramp, but I am not sure what part of the airport it is located)? And which terminal is terminal A?

I have had and frequently use FS9 since it first came out and I have never had this problem before,When I start the program now after the regular splash screen comes up it no longer comes up with my default flight that I set from last use. Instead it comes up with my Flight List screen, (see attached screenshot)and I have to select a flight then launch from there. It's annoying and I have no idea what caused it or how to fix it.any suggestions would be greatly appreciated,Thanks,Jeff

I've been looking into a 6 month membership wit computer pilot mag. I used to purchase every issue at the local chapters store but about 6 months ago They stopped carrying them in stock, So I have not really got to read one in a while.Before i jump in to become a member I was wondering if anyone here reads it regularly and can tell me if they still have many articles regarding fs9 or did they make the move and only discuss fsx?Im a FS9 user only and will be for a long time to come that's why im wondering.Thank you much

After many years I am trying to get myself ready to fly online with vatsim again. One of the things it says to do is go throught the check rides in FS9 well.. I must be a bad pilot because even thoughI am at 2k feet, perhaps going 98-102 knots wings level.. it keepsfailing me.. i am about ready to see if the PC can fly!it either keeps telling me I am going too slow or I rolled out too soon..
