Hi GuysThere I was ready to depart KSEA-KPDX on a positioning flight, everything ready.I decided to select customise weather to add to the flightplan, and then my sim crashed.I restarted the sim and it happened again, so, I experimented, the same thing happened when I selected to download real world weather. The sim froze and said that the weather dll was part of the problem. However if I set Weather themes all is well and the sim runs fine.I checked my sound card In DXDIAG Initially it would not play the "Test direct music" test but upon resetting my Audigy 2 to default settings all is fine. I mention this because I once read somewhwere that sound card problems my cause …

At one time I had a list of the BGL Prefixes but cannot seem to locate it now in my "stack of stuff".I am referring to those seen in the Scenery / Namw / scenery subfolder and other such subfolders.Would someone fill in the blanks for me please.AB - contains ?AP - contains Airport dataFL - contains Flatten dataHL - contains ?HP - contains ?PK - contains ?RD - contains roadsRR - contains railroadsST - contains ? (possibly streams and rivers?)UT - contains ?Please correct any of the above as necessary.Thanks in advance.

Ok what I mean by that is that I would like to fly with real world weather from fs2004 and use the textures from ground environment pro and flight environment. I also have active sky 6.5 but I'm not sure I need that. I am getting confused with those three. Do I need all three and if so how can I use them all together. They all can do pretty much the same thing I believe. The Ground Environment pro is already done but the problem comes from the weather. Can I use the fs2004 built in weather or do I need active sky for that. I really don't need all those features in active sky 6.5 like wind smoothing and suppression this and ceiling that. Anyone know of a good Air Canada AI flight plans. I've searched World of AI as that is what all my ai is from but for some reason they dont have a pack for Air Canada.Any help would be great.

HiDoes anyone know why FS9 rebuilds database after the clocks change.This happens the first time you run FS after the clocks go forward to BST ,it also happens when the clocks go back as well.Not particularly a problem just interested in why it happens and does it happen to others or just me?This has probably been answered before but couldnt find any info on the forums.RegardsRichard

Does anyone know of where I can get some 767-300ER aircraft (for AI traffic). In specific i am looking for 767-300ER repaints in Delta colours. Cant seem to find a repaint of the 763 (normal or the ER aircraft) for Delta new (2007) scheme. BTW - think thats the best colours that I have seen DAl aircraft in. Mind you sure that some disgree!:D

Using Vista.After adding a new addon scenery, and going through the procedure to add it to FS9, I checked SCENERY.CFG to discover that the new entry has not been added in to the file. The new scenery works fine, but I'm trying to add an exclusion entry to get rid of some unwanted trees/bushes, but there is no entry for this new addon or any recent addons as well.Quite happy editing the file, but a manual entry into the file doesn't appear to work.Please help..:-hmmm

Hey everyone, love the site. Anyway I have a logitech extreme 3d pro joystick that I use with fs2004 on my macbookpro which i run bootcamp with in XP. My problem is on the ground when I twist the joystick the rudder works perfectly and moves the aircraft. When I am airborn however when I twist the joystick the rudder barely moves and the plane does not really change directions. Anyone know why this is?

I was wondering why some of my AI's don't park in their designated spots according to their airline code. When checking their aircraft.cfg's I find that the codes don't always match up. For instance, a Northwest 757 carries a parking code of "COA". This seems to happen mostly with the 757's but sometimes in others as well. I know I put them in correctly as I've memorized many of the parking codes. Does anyone know what would change the aircraft.cfg parking designator?Thanks

Was wondering if there is a way to have the runway lights at airports on all the time like they are in the aerosoft Heathrow scenery?

When I am within a few miles of any airport and I am on final, the ground textures go very blurry and the entire aiport disappears except for the actual airport buildings. I did an uninstall and reinstall of fs2004 but I just did the cd uninstall which doesn't remove all of the folders but just basically allows you to reinstall.I would hate to have to rip it all out, but Its looking that way.I am using FS Live Traffic. My machine is a Pentium 4 2.8gig, 1 gb Ram, ATI 1300C factory oc'd to 512.When I depart from an airport all of the textures and runways are exactly right. IT seems to happen when I am withn 10-15 miles or so.Thanks for any advice

Traffic View Board just freezes on the screen when I open it. It is only giving me like a screen shot of when I opened it. If I hold Shift+1 then there is a lot of little screen and they sorta make me view the ai plane. It is a little hard to explain. It is just Traffic View Board does follow the ai airplane, but when I click on it nothing happens, all I hear is the aircraft's engine but not on the screen. If anyone understands me could you please help?

Hi, i'm using a beta version of a military base and want to remove a parking spot which has been placed on a taxi way. When I open the bgl. with AFCAD it shows the size as just over 3500kb. When I save the file after removing the parking spot, it shows as only 23kb. and half the scenery is missing. Any ideas what I'm missing here ? I tried renaming the bgl. with the prefix AF2_ before opening it...but same result.Russell.

Hi Gang.I have just re-installed FS9 and the 9.1 patch, but after firing up the sim I find that I cannot move a single slider.They are ALL un-movable, and set at the far left, which as you know looks terrible.Can anyone please offer any explanations why this has happened, and what I can do to fix it.Many Thanks.

What I am looking for is a panel with sophisticated avionics and fairly comprehensive FMC. Years ago I used the PSS A 320 and A 340 but I am wondering if there is now a better cockpit. Hallo everyone,I like flying real-life routes in flight sim and enjoy looking at Flight Aware and then picking a flight to do in the sim.The Boeing 737NGs are my favorite to fly.Is there a way of using a site such as Flight Aware (or is there another similar site out there) that goes into more detail about NG737 aircraft sub-types? I was wondering if there was a way to find out if the NG737 used on a chosen route was a winglet model or non-winglet model.I will use the Boeing 737-800 codes as an example: 73H = 737-800 (winglets) 738 = 737-800 (without winglets) As far as I can tell Flight Aware only shows up "B738". This has been bugging me for some time now. Hi, shirley im not alone in flying using the standard ATC, nor can i be the only one flying IFR. I currently use FSNavigator, yes im aware of the lack of updates into this program, but that is not the real issue. When flying IFR at some point, known to FS9 the ATC sparks up and lets you know your distance from the airport and the approach / transition that it has for you. Now, in some cases at larger airports you have the option to choose another approach. All this info would be handy right at the start, while filing and even planing with FSNav or whatever program you use. My question; where does FS9 get the approaches from? I c…

At the end of a flight last night in my beloved DF 727 and running Active Sky 6 wx, I was on a long final, ILS 5L, KIND. It was raining with visibilities right at minimums and a 10kt head wind, no big deal. The aircraft was barely controllable (I was hand flying the aircraft)! It was like I was Flying through a hurricane! I was being blown around like a leaf in the wind. Elevator or aileron input seemed to have little effect and then, wham, the effects seemed very exaggerated. My question is this; is there some setting in flight sim or Active Sky that might be causing such erratic behavior? I fly in windy conditions all the time with out this effect. Hi Every time I use the default ATC I always get to fly straight in not matter how busy the airport is. Does it ever tell you to do a holding pattern as it does teach you that in the Intrument Rating lessons? Thanks

Hi all I have lost all my VC lights / gauge lights , the 2D panels work ok plus so do some of the pay ware AC i have ( must use there own VC lights) the default Cessnas , Boeings etc have all lost theirs , the panels are just black ... i have tried all the normal key combos but still no good . I have installed the RXP 430 ( already had the RXP530) and pro pack plus CALL by Wilco over the past few days but i dont think its them or could it be ? Thanks Rich pleaseeeeeeeee help
