Yes its true, the Potomac river in Washington DC has been given the 'heave ho'. But I don't know what is going on!Cloud9 KDCA was installed (Demo version) and then I uninstalled it. I think this is where the problem began. I deleted files and reinstalled Cloud9 to uninstall it as good as I could, but same result. When it is installed, the Potomac shows up perfectly.I have the default backed up, which (or are they BGL?) BGL files should I replace?

Well, thanks to some welcome assistance from Pedro Lima, I managed to instal the 3GB Enabler and edit my system for the 3GB switch. All seems to be working fine now. However, I do not observe any difference in frames or fluidity of the sim. My question is: am I supposed to see any difference in how the sim runs (i.e., should it run visibly smoother and more fluidly), or is this switch just hopefully going to ensure that I don't see any more OOMs (which is no small thing in itself) ? Hi all, Can anyone recommend a business jet with a decent modern glass cockpit, payware or freeware? I'm ready to pay to play!I have a bunch of jets but none satisfy my desire for a real nice glass cockpit. I have just downloaded and LOVE the free Poman's Piper Meridian III that has the most awesome G1000 cockpit I've seen (pic below). Too bad it's for FSX which runs like crap on my Q6600 system. Mindstar has a G1000 package for $50 but alas it's for XP only, the Vista version isn't out and there's no new news about it either.So? Whadya think?dolph

I downloaded the new version in the corporate livery and Dreamliner livery and they're quite beautiful. Only thing is, they don't sit on the ground properly. On sits on the rear wheels with nose gear in the air. In both planes, the nose gear faces sideways and will not respond to steering. I've re-installed and still the same thing. The accompanying information says it's for FS9 but it's a no go thus far. Any idea what's wrong?

I'm running FS9 with: FS Terrain, Ultimate Terrain, World Airports 2,Active Sky 6.5, GE PRO, Flight Environment and Ultimate Traffic.Now... I will address one issue at a time here and try to keep it simple. While at KSEA ''for example'' [seattle Tacoma Int'l.] I see taxiway signs standing out in the middle of nowhere...and other airports as well within FS9. Cleveland Hopkins Int'l. Apt. Ohio [one or two runways seem to run down a hill. I am familiar with these runways and the earth don't sloap! What's with this? I could slide off the rwy into somebody's ''yard''...makes no sense. I have managed to play around with my EGLL AFCAD so i have a god pase for landing on 27R and on the 09L but when it comes to use 27L my aircraft land and just miss an exit taxiway and a majority of them take ages to reach the next taxiway causing aircraft to go around. This is even with the aircraft seperated with AI seperator and the landing taxi speed increased in FS config. The thing that really confuses me is that my aarvard 767 model manages to make the best taxi off runway but the rest of my traffic like A319, 320, 321 and 737's all miss it and preced to taxi down the runway for at least 30-45 secs causing a go around. First of all, please bear with me, I'm a bit of a novice and hope this question isn't too stupid...About a month ago my trusty old XP-running machine pretty much crashed and I had to get a new system which, of course, came with Vista:-mad. I've been able to transfer over FS9 from my old machine and have it running just fine, but continue to have one pesky problem. Whenever I try to modify any aircraft.cfg files I get an error message when I try to save. I've been opening and modifying the files with notepad, just like I did in XP, but I can't save, meaning I can't add any new liveries, change parking codes and callsigns, etc. What am I doing wrong? Hi to All,This may be not new to some of you but I found out that by removing from the Aircraft folder a folder named VIP - which was created during the installation of SB3 - I could reduce the loading time of FS9 from 6 minutes plus to 1 minute 30 seconds. This is the good news at least for me. The obvious question is can SB3 function without this folder knowing that it includes a huge amount of airplane models which may be vital when flying online?.I would appreciate your comments for my education.Best regards

I downloaded the MAIW B1B set which has some nice aircraft but the B1B's don't work. They don't recognize ATC, they don't gain altitude and you never seem them land anyplace. They are supposed to be designed for AI use but it isn't happening. I looked for a fix file but can't find one. I've tested them at different aiports and all my other AI's seem to work fine. The B2's seem ok too. Any ideas?

I've been using Paul Mainville's CYOW Ottawa scenery project for a long while now,and was wondering if there is a CYOW out there somewhere, maybe new and improved, that everyone is using. What I've been looking for is a jet with nice and functional VC. System nicely simulated and a blast to fly. Alphasim F-5, very nice looking VC, but few things are clickable. Iris A-6, same thing plus low VC gauge refresh rate. Captainsim F104, very low VC refresh rate. I don't have the money to keep buying and trying. The only jet that I think is actually great except for a low res looking VC is a freeware F-8 here in the library. Could you please chip in some ideas? I fly Boeings and GA 98% of the time. Just need one military jet for diversity and FL500. Thanks.Jason

Another AI related question (well two actually):-> Is there a decent AI AN124 model anywhere - I can only find the PAI one and it's got some pretty awful testure-mapping problems!-> The AI AN-225 from the library looks great, but it never arrives properly at airports - it just appears in the parking space. Anyone else had this (and fixed it)? I didn't try using the A380 airfile yet but that will be tonight (for that matter, I've not cheched that the A380s land either!Cheers,Geoff

Hello, folks! I have a question about AFCAD 2. Is there any way I can change the runway use when the winds are calm? For instance, in Toronto airport (CYYZ), when the winds are calm, they use runway 24L, 24R, and 23. However, in the game with the default, they're using 33R, and 33L. So how can I change that? I only use add-on commercial flights for my simming. PMDG 747 and 737 on VATSIM.Therefore all my default FS9 aircraft are redundant to my needs. Would it be safe/sensible/dangerous/unwise if I DELETED these unused aircraft files?Many thanksIan Oak-Rhind

HiI have a question regarding UTC and Local time in FS9.I live in Europe (Croatia) and in summer time difference between UTC and local time is 2 hours ie. 10:00 UTC is 12:00 L.T.If I choose 10 UTC in FS9 I will have 11 L.T. Is it possible to correct this with FS Real Time.Because as I remember correctly FS Real Time will also put UTC Bias -1.ThanksEdin

I think I had some serious issues with Cloud 9's demo scenery at KDCA and 1 trial aircraft. But now I am missing the Potomac and also have some 'block' textures on water (squares...) seen from around 10000ft. I think I need to reinstall the default scenery for that area. Does anyone have a clue how I can do this? I tried to search for all the naughty files including if I possibly installed DC photo scenery ( I can't find any remnants--just the download which I might not have installed). The blocky coast on the way up to LGA is way out of range of DC, so can anyone diagnose my fault? I was having some system crashes whilst in DC too..... I hope I have completely removed Cl…
