I downloaded that great new ISDT ATR42-500 and think its really well done except for the fact that the panel defaults to the default kingair 350..which is lousy.Whats the best available ATR panel? I'd love to put a great 2D panel with this great plane!Eric

Hi!I wonder if there is something wrong with my FS9.When I fly around Chicago I see funny square depth differenciesin Lake Michigan; black, much darker squares of water.Is this normal/right, or did I do something wrong when installing.I tried to change it with Ultimate Terrain, etc., but thedark blue squares remain.Any help much appreciated.Thanks!Hans HermanssonSweden

I have fs2004 on windows xp and would like to know from users of widefs if it is possible to control the aircraft (lds 767) from my laptop with vista o. I.E Autopilot etc for times when i may be away from pcHope you can helpBrad.

I'd like opinions on this. Both payware and freeware KLAX. I've got the freeware KLAX from Jetways and Terminals, and frankly it's so-so in my opinion. It's an improvement over default, but compared to many of the freeware sceneries out there for other airports, it's lacking. I'm not having much luck finding freeware for KLAX which is odd because it's arguably one of the most famous airports in the country. Are there any good ones that I'm missing?Failing that, what payware LAX airports are available?

I was just wondering if I could get some comments on what the best option is for charts for FS2004 right now. I realize you can find charts for free in many places, but my free time is limited and I'd just as soon get an all in one package for charts rather than having to hunt them down every flight.Mainly I'm looking for airport approach and layout charts. I'm looking for something with good coverage of North America and Europe mainly, either a program internal to the sim or external. If it can run on Mac that would be a great bonus as I could run it on my Macbook, so PDF's would be great for that if a program can export or something too.I looked at Simcharts and Navigra…

Hello, im having a problem regarding the position of the fs9 splash screen whenever fs9 loads.. the splash screen is off centered, when the splash screen appears.. its on the bottom of the screen, barely seeing only half of the whole image..what could be the problem? can you guys help? :D TIA..

Thanks to all that responded to my earlier post regarding the MATROX 3H2Go. I've made the leap into this new adventure and now looking for VC recommendations. I prefer the Corporate / GA equipment and presently flying the Feelthere Legacy and Aeroworx B200. I suppose those VC's are so-so,and looking for other recommendations.Many thanks again.

I've had this problem for years. Ever since I've installed Ultimate Traffic. The Beech 1900 sinks into the Tarmac. Once it starts to taxi, it seems to lift up and roll on it's contact points. It doesn't matter what Livery or textue is applied. I seem to recall UT used Project AI aircraft, just renamed as Flight One Aircraft. Question: has anyone had this problem and been able to fix it?Bill :-roll :-hmmm :-bat

HiThe title says it all.Now, although it is random, the program seems to pause or do very long 'stutters'.Could it be related to the patch?I checked with Filemon and TaskInfo, it is not related to anti-virus or other software in the background.Has someone also noticed this effect or am I just misleading?ThanksGhiom

I have had fs2002 and fs2004 for some time now, they are both great. I also have fsx but my computer is not quite strong enough, crases ect. but real problem is with fs2004, I have had it, used it, ti runs fine UNTIL NOW!! If I "change airports" it take 10 seconds fill the panel " loading scenery". Now, I don't know what happend, my take 4 to 8 min.!!! what could have happened??I don't know what to do! Brandyman

All,This is a strange problem that I would like some input as to why it happened and what I can do to fix it.Recently, I upgraded my RAM from 1Gig to 3. After running a few stress tests on them, I was satisfied that all was good. I loaded up my FS9 (I should say, that before the upgrade, I had been flying with the FS9.1 patch installed). I flew about 6 hours, and felt that all is well with the world. Now here's the strange part. Today, I did a review of some of the lessons, did a couple of ccts, shutdown the sim and turned off the computer. I came back a few hours later, and loaded it back up. I got 2 error msgs: Both saying that there was 2 .dll files that weren't …

that can bug me... :)In fs9, has anyone noticed the reflection of the moon is on the wrong side of the aircraft? When the moon is on the aircrafts right side, the brighter side (reflection) of the aircraft is on the left and vice versa.I've searched for a fix, but have not found any posts mentioning this. I've recently ordered the Matrox Triple Head 2Go for a 3-monitor set-up. I've used Wideview with FS2004 for years and very happy with it.In an effort to someday make the transition to FSX with a new machine, the Matrox was ordered rather than plan three new PC'sI've recentlty read the Matrox does not do well with the 2D panel view which is understandable considering the device. However, the idea of converting to VC on a permanent basis is not an option for me. It sounds like the best course may be to remain with Wideview and 3-PC's for 2D use. Any opinions and comments are welcomed as there is still likely time to cancel the online order.

I'm noticing lately that the sunset/sunrise times in FS9 appear to be way off. Yesterday I did a flight, using the real time and date, and FS9 was darn near black while it was still bright enough outside to drive around without headlights and didn't get dark out for another hour.Anyone know of a fix for this so that FS9 has accurate lengths of day and night?

When I press the Y button for Slew Mode, the a/c spins rapidly...touch space bar and it stops. But I reactivate, it does the same. Can't figure it out.I've recalibrated my CH Yoke and Pedal. Doesn't help.Any Ideas, would be greatly appreciated

I purchased a new computer with vista and now i am having a problem with aircraft sounds.Some aircraft have full sounds while others have either sounds outside and none inside or none at all.Need some help if anyone has a solution to this problem.Thanks

Does anyone know if there's any First Air (the northern Canada airline) textures for the Flight1 ATR 72? I know they use 42's IRL but I'm wondering if someone has made a fictional 72 paint.

Hello.For some reason absolutely all autogen-scenery has disappeared from certain areas of FS2004. I just landed in Bahrain and discovered that there was not a single building showing other than the airport terminal. Other than this, the entire country looks like a desert without a single building. I do not understand this as I have landed in Bahrain several times before and the autogen scenery has been there every single time before. The autogen-scenery is maxed out in "settings" so the problem is not here. What could be wrong?

helloIs their utility for creating ILS approaches that ATC will recognized and follow? I use AFCAD to create a new ILS for a airport, but ATC only gave me visual approach procedure while flying IFR. I have tried creating an ILS approach using xml coding, but wonder if their is a utility that aids in this?Lee

Hello all, I hope one of you can help me out...It seems that for one reason or another the defaul ATC has stopped letting me file IFR. If I make a flight with the default planner and save it, like I`ve always done, it now does not show up in the ATC wndow. That it, there is only VFR taxi and takeoff options, no more clearance or anything! I have no idea when this started as I have not used it for a while, and I have no idea what could be causing it. Its not a huge deal, but I would like to get it working again!Thanks!

This plane really seems to be realistic and very good. I would like to know more about how steep is the learning curve for it? Let me give two examples of how I have experienced the learning curve for other addon planes.First the LD 767 which is a complex airliner like the maddog. Still I didn't percieve its learning curve to be that very steep.In clear contrast to that I have found the learning curve to be very steep with the F1 ATR 72-500 and particulary together with FS2crew.If I feel so how would feel about learning the maddog?Finally if I decide to buy it which option is best the dowmload version or the boxed version? Hello.Does anybody of you experience a frame rate hit when using traffic.bgls for each airline?Is it better to use one single traffic.bgl with all airlines included?Just wondering because after decompiling my big traffic.bgl file to many single traffic.bgls I found a frame rate hit. Before I never had so big impacts on frame rates. I use my own traffic from freeware sources.thanks for some advise,Axel.
