As I wend my way West in FS9, I find myself at Denver International (KDEN). Here at AVSIM I find an abundance of addon scenerys for this Airport. Too much of a Good Thing? If there are any preferences, I'd like to hear them. I guess this being one of the Country's largest Airports Microsoft expended a little more time on it than most others. But anything can be improved on. I find myself using the scenery with the latest date as that person usually found earlier scenery not quite to his liking. Chime in! "Please"Bill :-bla

Hi, After reading through lots of recomendations regarding blurry ground textures i still have no luck with my system. I have a AMD Phenom9600, 2x ATI 3970 and 4GB of ram so i would think this would be more then enough to get good textures. I have included a screenshot over Aerosofts Heathrow where the texture looks fine its just the surrounding ground textures where i have Ultimate Terrain and GE Pro installed. Here also is my FS9.cfg,[PANELS]IMAGE_QUALITY=1UNITS_OF_MEASURE=0QUICKTIPS=0PANEL_MASKING=1PANEL_STRETCHING=1[Weather]WindshieldPrecipitationEffects=1MinGustTime=10MaxGustTime=500MinGustRampSpeed=1MaxGustRampSpeed=200MinVarTime=5MaxVarTime=50MinVarRampSpeed=10MaxVa…

HiI dont know if this i s the right place to ask the quistion but here it comes. When flying the overland Airbus series the wing sometimes stays in a downward position, so that it looks as if carying any weight. I never experienced this with other aircrafts. Usually as soon as you leave the ground the wing bend upwards. With overland this also happens but from time to time the wing changes and it looks completely strange and unrealistic. Its not due to turbulence since it stays downwards for long without moving. By the way I also found that the wing itself doesnt respond to turbelence.I would appreciate some help on this issue. Thanks

Instead of the usual "Taxi into position and hold", I am now getting from ATC, "Line Up and Wait"! I recently did an update to my Edit Voice Pack and am wondering if this is where this command came from?Maybe it has been there all along, but last night was the first time it registered in my grey matter!Anybody else heard this?Chris

Hi All.I have a scenario for you all, and wondered what your thoughts were.I had a kind of hicup with my HDD, and since then it keeps telling me that there are loads of system32 files that are missing, and other video issues as well, plus the HDD is making weird noises too.So, I have bought a New and Bigger and Better HDD, and after installing Win XP Pro, and up-dating as necessary I will be installing my favourite games again. No biggie, but, I was wondering what would happen if I did the following.I install FS9, then the 9.1 patch, This is the point where it gets tricky, and I could really use your thoughts.I have a lot of add-on aircraft, such as the LDS 767, PSS Fleet,…

I've decided to 'roll out' the Fs9 Cessna, after 3/4 years, and go back to basics for a while. But I'm finding it too frenetic (excessively agitated), and I'd like to calm it down a little :). Has anyone got any tips about how I can achieve this, please?I'm using the Saitek X52 Joystick setup.Ken

Anyone try using the Turbine Sound Studios King Air with the Aeroworx B200. For that matter any King Air. I would use them with the Aeroworx B200 but I wonder how they truly sound in the Sim. Any opinions on this add-on would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I'm happy to report that the Flight Sim community has an Open Source Flight Simulator that has the vast majority of the features of FS. http://www.flightgear.org/Flight Gear has the following features:>Over 20,000 real world airports included in the full scenery set. Correct runway markings and placement, correct runway and approach lighting. >Taxiways available for many larger airports (even including the green center line lights when appropriate.) Sloping runways (runways change elevation like they usually do in real life.) >Directional airport lighting that smoothly changes intensity as your relative view direction changes. >World scenery fits on 3 DVD's. …

Hi guys, very often I experience blurries or unsharp textures in high altitudes and partly during the approach.I heard that a change of certain parameter within the fs9.cfg can solve this issue.Does anybody have experience with that?Would be glad to get some advice :)Regards,

Anyone know why ATC does not always use use callsigns I have in the aircraft.cfg file (the callsigns themselves are definitely correct BTW)? The real oddity is that for the same callsign the pilots voices will always use it, and ATC does only half the time: during a single flight ATC will call me, for instance, Delta 214 then a bit later just 214.Ideas welcome! Thanks,Martin

The California Classic Forum has a link to a wonderful Youtube video of Kai Tak in the 1950's-1960's. Here is the link for the forum. Look for the Kai Tak subject line.http://www.calclassic.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaB...i?board=General

Just a quick question regard OOMs. Does the system HAVE to have MORE than 2gb of RAM, or is 2gb OK for the fixes to work?

I had this problem for a while and was thinking of best way to fix it. The ISD Rome Scenery (Freeware) seems to have a memory leak associated with it. I can load up and fly around the airport fine for about 10-15 minutes, at which point I get "Out of memory" error or CTD. I check the size of FS9 after 15 minutes at LIRF and it's over 1.5gigabytes. - This does not happen in any other airports (including ISD's own LIMC)- This happened on two different machinesDoes anyone have any ideas how to resolve this? Thanks!

Hello all,I have just recently been experiencing fatal errors with FS9 and it seems to be related to not enough memory. When FS9 shuts down after the error, the report mentions an fe.dll file, but also my ram utility shows that my ram was at 100% usage. To be more specific as to when it happened, I was approaching CYYZ at around 9000 ft; flying a Wilco A320. This is the second time this problem has occurred and it happened at the same point as the last one. I have never had this problem before, any ideas as to what I should look into.ScottAMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+, 2.0GHZA-Data 2046 MB RAM 800MHZXFX GeForce 8600GT 256MB DDR3

Can you talk for the ATC in FS9?like instead of answering and talking to the ATC, You are the ATC giving directions to the airplanes:-)Thanks

Well I guess I have to post it in here since feelthere shut down there forums. If their FBW is modelled so well why is it that when I am 4000AGL and I pitch for about 12 degrees and I have the TRK/FPA selected and it shows my trajectory as being about 5 degrees, why does the aircraft want to keep pitching up and also the FPA increases to the point of sending the plane into AFloor. THis starts off from a speed of about 200 knots. I use the Saitek yoke which is PERFECT for calibration. You really dont even need null zones for this yoke it is that accurate. But I have the null zones set in FSUIPC to -512 to +512. What is the problem with this modelling?

Hi,As I upgraded to a new system, I tried the old method copying the old FS9 folder to the new hard drive. I did this once before with an upgrade an it worked fine.1) Install from original FS9 discs to the same path where I had the original registration (i.e. c:gamesfs2004) to retain the path entry2) Delete the FS2004 folder3) Copy from the old disc fs2004 folder4) Besides a few payware error messages, I get a "FSUI.Dll" error, and FS2004 cannot startI tried rebuilding FS9.cfg by deleting it, but still no success. If anyone had any ideas how I can get past this it would be great. Thanks
