Have new system (see details below) but am plagued by hangups of fs9 requiring me to hit the reset button (these sometimes also occur when I am not using fs9). These can happen after intervals of anything from a few minutes to an hour or more after starting my computer and I have tried as many tricks as I can think of to try to prevent them (including re-installing Windows XP in case some drivers were corrupted and uninstalling all my fs9 addons and going back to the bare fs9 without any addons) but they still occur. When this system is working it is superb, with great graphics and frame rates, but the hangups are incredibly frustrating. Although I may be wrong, my though…

The FSDreamteam Support forum has resolutions for several nagging problems with the recent Chicago O'Hare release.Problems addressed include:1. The Reg file not being created during installation.2. A few night textures which were missing.3. It just started today, after I my flight loads up I get ready to go. Then all of a sudden I get a black screen, my mouse turns into circle(Vista's not responding thing) and FS9 does not respond. A minute later it crashes to desktop. How do I fix this? HiYes, I've done a search but for some reason I could not find the one post that answers the question. Lots of talk about merging LDS with 757s, some others are questions left unanswered, some others seem outdated...Thus: can somebody tell me how to merge the LDS 767 panel and sound with the POSKY 767-400 and 767-200? Will that merge only alias the panel, or will it also adapt the FMC so that it reflects the 762's/764's particular weights, thrust envelopes and FDE behaviour?Thanks for any hints!Chris

Hi, the reason i ask is because FS9 keeps CTD and it looks like i will need to re-install(it is after an FSX uninstall,i have tried everything with no luck).I want to make the process as simple as possible and thought if i install the new FS9 installation on the same hard drive(change the name of the previous installation first).Then just transfer aircraft,scenery,gauges,etc.... across instead of needing to re-install all the add-ons. Can i do this,will this work? Thanks, Simon.

Hi:I have been using FS2204 for quite some time without any problem.Suddenly, a couple of days ago, all my airplanes started veering to the left, on the ground and on the air. I thought it could be my joystick, but no. Tried without joystick installed and it is the same.Has any body had this experience or any idea of what could be happening?I would hate to reinstall the program.Many thanks,Jorge

In using the 'fault finder" in AFX, I see that it thinks there are "open links" when they're really not. I've experimented with the links and all aircraft use them smoothly. Big example is the Fly Miami, Miami scenery. According to AFX, most ALL the links show as 'not connected' when in fact, they are. Every so often, one isn't, but not this many. It doesn't seem to like links that go off into angles. Just an observation.

I am assisting a new simmer who is also new to computers.He has FS2002 which I have not had on my machine for a couple of years.If someone still has FS2002 installed, please Jog My Memory and tell me how the Scenery Library is accessed after the program has been started.I seem to remember you get to it somewhat differently than we do in FS2004.Thanks

I was flying from haines i to gustavus i think is the name, when i got to my dest. i pull up to one of the hangars and there is a sign that says "tune nav 2 to 115.00 for ground attendant", so i go ahead and tune it in and watch the doors open. Cool little addition to an already great freeware program. Now my aeroworx king air 200 has a place to spend the nights.Any other little presents like this one that anyone know of?

I've been trying to find a good Suvarnabhumi airport download and a New Baiyun airport download but the ones I've found are no good. Does anybody know one that I can find?

Hi,Has anyone else noticed that with ATI AGP cards there is a massive performance boost when starting the sim in windowed mode? Perhaps this is just my system...As per my sig, I have the new Sapphire HD 3850 AGP card and run FS9 at a resolution of 1920x1200(x32). While setting up the card I made a "test" situation in which I got ~12FPS (yuck!) on my old card and so I have used the same test position to compare performance. In the Catalyst Control Centre, I have set all of the settings to the maximum quality - changing them does not appear to have any real effect! In FS9, I have all the sliders to the maximum except that ground/ac shadows are off, as is lens flare. Weather…

I recently DL'd and tried to get Scanafd working on my vista system. It wouldn't work. Just opens up and then sits there. Doesn't detect any of my scenery. I have .net 1.1 installed as I needed it to get AI Smooth working.Anyone else have Scanafd working successfully with Vista or have any suggestions on what I might try to get it working?Cheers,Jag

Hello all,I'm running FS9 in conjunction with FSUIPC & WideFS on one PC + two monitors via two grfx cards. WideFS client is running on a second PC.What I'd like to do is maintain my dual screens ''in flight''on my FS9 PC, ie: VC + undocked gauges & instruments, plus run FSNav & FSMap on either or. Looking at buying a forth monitor with this in mind.Any thoughts out there?Regards,Keith

The title says it all.Since these two new things on my setup, my system tends to stutter more, especially with longer 1-2sec pause.Also, the texture loading time is slightly extended! This is surely not due to fsuipc but maybe the 3Gb patch?Have you also noticed this or it is a psychological thing?I use FS9.1 on XP with 2Gb of RAM.Thank you very much for sharing your experience.GhiomRegards

I am running Vista 64 Ultimate with a Nvdia Quadro NVS 140m with 4GB of ram. For some reason, flight simulator runs fins until you try to change the view say from cockpit to spot plane or you change the day and time from the menu. Switching between windows will also cause a problem. The problem is that the screen appears to freeze, but it hasn't. As the engine sound still changes and all the file menus work. All I have to do is say click the map from the menu and press cancel then the screen returns to normal. Can anyone tell me how to get Virtual cockpit views to be the same as cockpit views when panning.When panning in Virtual cockpit it is hard to reposition when I return to front view.
