I know this may be a common problem but im losing my patience so i would appreciate help, thank you.I have removed an addon KDFW and KLAX airport scenerys because they were causing fps drops that i couldnt ignore so i deleted these and went for a flight but relaised i had the old afcads in the addon scenery folder.I deleted the afcads and replaced them with afcads for the default airports which i found here on avsim. Howerver traffic is sparse and the traffic that is showing up is all in the wrong place.I also downloaded scan afcad or a similair program from avsim and it said it could not locate my addon scenery in the scenery cfg. Hi folks,I've recently reinstalled my FS machine (took bl**dy ages) and I thought that I had it all sorted out but there are a couple of oddities...When I try to switch from fullscreen to windowed mode the screen goes black for several seconds. 50% of the time it then recovers but many times it just remains black and I have to kill the FS9.exe process... I have also had this happen when maximising the windowed view. Also, I now find that the FPS in fullscreen is significantly lower than in windowed mode. Hi,I want to install some freeware mesh sceneries.What about the airport terrain? The default FS Mesh is not as exact as the freeware ones so the elevation for example of Innsbruck Airport is higher than in the freeware one. What happens with such airports when the terrain elevation of the new mesh is lower than the default airports elevation? Thanks for answers

Hi all,I'm a big DC-9 fan and have been on again and off again trying to get the Hilmerby panel to work correctly in FS9. My goal is to fly a flightplan created in FSBuild and to use the RNAV feature on the panel to fly the flightplan (I know that's not 100% accurate).Anyway, on the autopilot, I can fly a desired heading until I switch over the first waypoint. Then, the aircraft just goes in circles. When attempting to go back to heading mode, it doesn't work. The only thing functional is the turn knob.Does anyone with this panel been able to get it to work? If so, did you make any modifications? Were you able to get it to work with either its own model or the SGA DC-90-3…

Hello. I'm hoping someone can answer this quick question for me.Is there any performance loss in giving the AI aircraft sounds? I know there are some pay products out there to provide somewhat acurate sounds to AI aircraft and those sounds are only for AI aircraft.What is the main issue with giving AI planes aliases to user aircraft sounds?Thanks very much!

After a bit of a computer glitch, FS2004 no longer lists a recently installed CRJ, although the aircraft files are all there in the FS2004 folder.Could one of the fs2004 config files be the problem, and if so, which one?--Bryn

What ever happened to this excellent product?I know you can still buy FS9 software, but the parent website is MIA and I was really hoping for an FSX update. Does anybody have any word on what might have happened?If not, then can someone tell me if BEV can be installed for FSX?TIA

I have done a fresh install on a new rig. Upon starting FS9, I select "change selected location". and only see 30 country/region entries, 1710 cities and zero (none) state/province. Compare to my other pc which shows 185country/region entries, 3089 cities and 78 state/province. The obvious missing entry is KSEA Seattle as the default startup.Can anyone offer help?ThanksDom

Hello ...I'm one of those pitiful individuals who spend more time tweaking than flying and somehow I've managed to end up with grass textures - noticible at airports - that have become multi-colored and very blotchy. Didn't used to be this way. I've tried replacing detail1 with alternate grass textures and just installed Picnic to see what might change. Nothing. Something seems to be overlapping or overriding any new textues installed. Is that possible? I can't seem to get the grass to change where it had previously with alternate textures.Does anyone have any ideas?Thanks for your help,Steve

Has anyone else turned on MSFS' real wx and used the Wilco 733 to make a flight in stiff winds? I've done 3 flights over the course of the last month where the tail winds were 81mph+ (Specifically today KCLT->KBOS mimicking US Airways flight 1800), causing the 733 to roll over hard and create a "bank angle" warning. Is it me, or does MSFS wx have a tendency to over exaggerate the wx conditions instead of a gradual effect?Will AS6+ help curb this problem by representing weather more consistently, or is this just normal and something I have to deal with?

UK2000 just released the Heathrow Xtreme version, it really looks great. Gentlemen,I'm looking into the 777 made by Posky.It looks amazing, the reports are full of praise and I would like to have one in my hangar.But is there anybody who can explain to me in plain English what I need to download and how I should install it.I am by no means a newby but browsing through their files made my skin crawl. thought I saw a thread a while ago that someone was making some new philly scenery but I can't find that discussion at the moment using the search. Maybe it was in a different forum. I can't think of any major US airport that needs a remake than this one. No way am I going to use the payware scenery that came out in 2001. Anyone know about this?

hi,I wrote a post about the saitek pro flight switch panel in the hardware forum, but it seems not as popular as this one. My goal is to warn you that this panel does not work with fs 9. It is advertised as working with fs 10, which it does fine, but I did not imagine that it works with fs 10 only and nothing else.It is a shame. I don't understand why a serious company such as saitek can come up with a piece of hardware aimed at fs 10 exclusively, that is to say a niche market :)It is definitely a commercial blunder.

since the SectionF8 forum isnt open I thought I would ask this question. I keep getting a crash after flying the F86 for awhile. It says it is a G3d crash. I have gotten it flying from Seattle to Portland with Flightzone 2 package. The second time it is after taking off from Portland flying around for awhile and then flying to the coast. On my way back to Portland I get another crash. Now I am going to test with other aircraft but before I get a chance to do that does anybody have a guess if this is the scenery or the the airplane.Thanks

I have just purchased a new PC and loaded up FS9.1 (I am sticking with that as opposed to moving to FSX for a number of reasons). I have noticed that Tower Bridge and the Millennium Dome (at least) are missing from the scenery (I have the scenery sliders turned up to max), while other such objects as the London Eye are there. Any ideas why this is?ThanksJohn

I read something about this new aircraft having "tracers" bullets when the guns are fired. When I fire the guns on mine, I see fire comming from the end of the guns but I dont see any tracer bullets going out for a distance in front of the aircraft. Did I misunderstand about these? What do you see when you fire your guns? Thanks jerrycwo4
